new member here. Good morning to you all. I would just like to say we are a blended family, My partners two children live with us permanently. My two children see their dad 1 weekend in every month. Each child has their own bedroom and beds, no sharing here. Yes they do have jobs to do. Like keeping their bedrooms tidy, TOYS to put away at the end of day. Our children are 5 7 10 and 12. I do work to help out with home comforts presents and food. I don’t bad mouth either of ours ex’s in front of children or to anyone that may knows us. All children are treated exactly the same. i still had to work being a key worker. My partner home schooled, They done better academically at home than in school. Because we spent time with them.
so what I would really say is. Flo get off your phone spend quality time with each child, not just Rosie. Stop making them do your jobs. They are children let them have fun. You do not need to to go shopping every day, I certainly don’t. Oh yes a put some decent clothes on it’s embarrassing for the childre. Also if you’d change Rosies bedding including bottom sheet at least twice a week, her warts may clear up quicker.

I agree, she's not growing because she is so contradictory. No one jump on me, but sometimes I pity the woman, it just feels like she doesn't know who she is or who she wants to be and sometimes I feel pity watching the car crash unfold. One minute, she's an organised mum with a solid routine, next she's ordering her kids birthday bits a day before their birthday, then we have the website - which has just been forgotten about. She has no friends, then she wants to be on "plain" with her girls. We have “flipped” 5 houses in 20 years and have finally got to a point where we built our own and are mortgage free. Hubby is a tradesman and has also done everything himself....it’s not unique Flo!

I’m lucky to be working from home at the moment. I work 9-5 in which time I take phone calls, attend Skype meetings as well as meeting tight deadlines. My 13 year old sits in her room and completed her work independently, I check in every now and again and she has completed and submitted everything needed to so far.
My 10 year old sits next to me incase she needs help, at the start of the first lockdown she needed me constantly but has since learnt to work more independently which has been a great skill for her to learn. It’s not as if she is planning the lessons herself, writing the outcomes and linking it with the national curriculum, creating resources, marking as well as looking after their own kids! She literally just has to keep them focused.
It’s been a hard week and I’m looking forward to a large glass of red shortly but when you are a parent then there comes a level of responsibility and she needs to grow the fuck up and become a parent and stop trying to be cool.
