I know everyone is different BUT I'm only a couple of years younger than Brummy and I've had 2 spinal operations and despite my best efforts of intensive pilates; matwork and reformer plus swimming; there's no way I could do a forward role like that. Actually, I still can't walk for long periods, so Disney is out especially in super flat Salt Water sandals or Converse and doing weird tik tok dances are just a no. I'm not a size 18, I'm a 10 but I struggle day to day. I really do and seeing someone who uses a bad back as leverage for something (as in engagement or sympathy) genuinely upsets me. I truly wish I could meander round National Trust sites all day, sit on a sofa in a poor posture position and start a Couch to 5k but for many who have had spinal operations; no matter what the age; is just a great big NO.

Right Emma! As a teacher I will be fine with kids coming back to me in September having not been homeschooled if: their parents are key workers, they don’t have access to technology or their parents do not speak English.

Yup, I'm a nurse and wouldnt trade her. I have the best job in the world, I make a real difference to peoples lives when they're at their lowest, I earn enough to live comfortably, my family are safe and private, I have valuable days off where I can enjoy my time with my family.
If she makes 80k then that's about double my wage but nowhere near enough to rid myself of all dignity and privacy. She makes me sick

My point is, these lower paid much more meaningful jobs give people and their families something money cannot buy Babs - privacy, pride, ethics, morales, ambition, job satisfaction and something for their kids to strive to be like! I hope to god Emma's kids DO NOT strive to be like her!

I don't have children so can someone please explain why the six weeks would be daunting when
- Your "job" has flexible hours and you work from home
- You're married with a supportive partner and have both sets of parents close by
- You have money and transport to be able to take your children out to places
- Your children are at an age where they are capable of entertaining themselves
- You have a good sized house and garden
Just curious guys or is it more daunting that you have to spend actual time with your children and can't wait all the tv you want to?
It's amazing. I spent 10 years as a single parent, from my kids being under 3, with 1 toilet, and I managed to have a bath or shower in peace all throughout. Because I waited until they were asleep! And didn't have one in the middle of the day. Even now they're teenagers I wait until they're done for the night - 10pm baths with a glass of wine and netflix is glorious truth be told

Emma, STOP BRAGGING ABOUT BUYING THEIR TEACHERS GIFTS. Every bloody year, several times a year. As a teacher, a primary school one, I always value a doodle from a child or a handmade card far more than anything else because it’s from the child. It’s not about you, Emma, it’s about them. You buy them cheap tat anyway despite having so much disposable income. Crying in the car about it is ridiculous - it’s your job to hold it together for your kids, not start crying when they were happy to have seen school and excited about it. What kind of message does that send? They’ll have been as confused as anything. Is there anything in your life that isn’t 100% about you? My god.

Why don't they go and have a poo in her en suite? In my house we have literally ONE toilet which is where the bath is but if we had other loos, I would be locking the door when i had my bath!
