Anyway ages ago she was dating a guy and after seeing Fifty First Dates started faking having memory loss. Once getting up in the night screaming and demanding to know why he was in her house. She then had to explain her condition to him (like you wouldn't already have coping mechanisms in place which would deffo include warning people). He endured a few weeks of her suddenly claiming not to know who he was mid conversation and delivering some utterly dreadful "confused"acting before quietly dumping her. Oddly enough being dumped seemed to cure it and she's not been troubled since. Allegedly.

No I don't think she believes it, it's almost like she can't help it though. I know that's an infuriating excuse but it's what I've had to kind of make peace with as I really can't explain it any other way

It sounds like you know her @Devorah in real life, or how would you know this all to be true?

Yup that's been one of the biggest issues for me. If she didn't have kids I wouldnt take such an interest but they have suffered

So I’ve been stalking about here all morning. Her most recent husband is an ex of mine. It seems they got together while I was still with him. He has also adopted the LeClerc name and they are both Laing-LeClerc now.
For a while I have wondered if he knows of her duality as I cared very much about him but he is a big boy. After we spilt and I discovered their relationship I was transported back to a late night conversation I had with him when we both discovered we each knew her from in and about the Glasgow ‘scene’. On his on volition he broke down why she ‘is the worst’ promenading as the working class leftie all the while owning two homes, one being the writing retreat. He went on to disparage the judaism as a way of claiming a new identity. Guess how surprised I was to find out they were engaged?!

i am being honest when i say that i have literally never heard of this person before seeing her mentioned in the jack threads but now i am very intrigued...but i still don't understand how she's famous?!

Scotland's a small place really, and she's been making a tit of herself on its cultural landscape for a good few years now.

ETA - FOUND IT! (For context, Vonny shared this text her sister sent her on twitter, I think she thought she was going to elicit sympathy about how nasty her sister was?? In reality, everyone was like HIGH FIVE VONNY'S SISTER!!)

That's appreciated thank you! I've been reading for a while and thinking of posting but doing so when emotionally driven wasn't the best idea.

I'm finding myself defending her even though I'm probably one of the people she has screwed over most in life. Although we are estranged I obviously don't wish her any harm, just that she gets help and it can be hard reading all these things even though they are true and I agree. It's A tough read when people don't know her or what she's put us through but hopefully it helps people understand things...ish

So much love to you @Devorah. What a thing to go through. Giving you all my support that there is a just outcome to all this! It It says a lot about you to still see your sister as someone vulnerable. xx

I've actually heard this story before and I can't even remember who told me, so pretty sure that 2 separate sources make it OFFICIALLY VERIFIED!.

@Breakdance Badass i am so nosey- I want to know the whole story, like on what grounds Vonny is claiming to be Jewish... and what was the outcome of the police complaint. The more I read this is such a strange situation!

She's not Jewish, she literally woke up one day and decided she was, got a jumper, clued herself up on some relative terms.
She has in no way converted, started to convert, or had any link to Judaism through family etc.

I have wondered for years if people believed the lies or were sucked in. She can be very convincing to start and she's smart so people don't question it.
I'm happy to answer things or confirm suspicions etc. I think it's only fair considering she uses her platform to fool people. It's sad that she would rather be remembered this way in life than doing good. Such wasted potential
