It must be so utterly exhausting to be Cathy. To look for offence and insult in everything has to just be exhausting.

Imagine -

Polite neighbour - "Good morning Cathy"
Her - "Friendly reminder that some people currently live in Australia and it is not morning there, please don't insult people in different time zones"

The fact I have never been catcalled has not once made me question whether I am a woman or not.

Her life as the perpetually offended about everything must be exhausting.
I've never been catcalled either, probably because I have a face like a bulldog licking piss off a thistle. However, since my femaleness is not contingent on a male response, I am quite confident that I am, in fact, a woman.

She is so full of shit it's not even funny. Supremely unintelligent, marinated in wokeness.

I have achondroplasia and I’m from a mixed race family and have a mixed race child. I’m also the only person in my entire family with achondroplasia or a disability. My child’s father doesn’t have a disability or achondroplasia either.
I followed and unfollowed, I think I’d get it wrong too if I even tried to communicate with her. A lot of what she says/does and attacks makes me cringe, I then worry about the knock on effect for the rest of us with the condition, sometimes I really need help from someone in the public, and even when I’m offered unwanted help from an able person I will politely decline.
I found myself questioning my entire life watching her stories, wondering whether my family or friends had treated me in a different way because they were ableist. It was an awful place to be until I unfollowed and realised how much shit she spouts and whilst sometimes life is a bit shit and people make rude comments or take photos, that it wouldn’t matter whether I did or didn’t have this condition, there are arseholes out there regardless.
I agree with another poster, charli-Kate is a much better “representative” for people with achondroplasia/dwarfism. Unfortunately in Australia though.

I was waiting for a thread on Cathy so thank you for sharing.

I too found out about her originally because of the Daisy May Cooper affair, which she totally blew out of proportion.

I have dwarfism, albeit not achondroplasia, and hate the word midget but I didn’t even notice it in the caption she wrote initially as the intention clearly wasn’t to be nasty. When she took it down that should have been enough but of course it wasn’t 🙄

I find Cathy’s account really draining and negative, like others have said she’s attempting to make a living out of outrage. I do wonder how some people cope with that attitude. Hate the use of the word ‘snowflake’ and I don’t doubt the shit she’s had to go through but some stuff that I wouldn’t even notice she makes a huge deal of.

Recently she was really angry a doctor wrote she ‘suffered’ with a achondroplasia, and stated she’d written a bit complaint. That’s something that I wouldn’t even register, I sometimes use that word myself when I talk about my own condition but no doubt Cathy would accuse me of internalised ableism or something similar.

Growing up I was incredibly insecure about my dwarfism, I think if I found an account like hers it would just make me incredibly angry at the world and still insecure.

Don’t get me wrong issues still need to addressed, life isn’t sunshine and rainbows but sometimes with certain matters there are bigger fish to fry.

Never even thought about that letter being a fake! Makes a lot of sense if so. Even the outrage in the story that followed about how it’s all well and good people being shocked but WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT? Honestly have a day off please, she’ll never be happy with anything.

With Bumblegate she seemed furious they wouldn’t tell her who made up the team who polices their app, in respect of how diverse they are, but surely that wouldn’t be allowed to share that? I know companies will publish business wide reports on diversity but why would a company share the exact race, sexuality, gender etc. of a specific team with her?

Sorry essay over, have a lot to say!

This is what happens when you’re constantly seeking offence at every little thing and trying to ‘educate’ people all the time. Eventually, the cancell-er becomes the cancell-ee. It’s only a matter of time…

And the fucking irony of her saying she refuses to be ‘policed’ 🤣 Everyone else has to watch their words and be wary of what they’re posting lest they offend her, but she’s just gonna keep doing her thing and EFF YOU.

Fuck me all she does is complain. The Alchemist have given her a free meal and cocktails and she’s still moaning about it being inaccessible to vegans…being a vegan is a fucking choice for 99.99% people - if they want to eat at a restaurant which doesn’t specialise in vegan food then yes they will have to make a bit of effort themselves to see what they can or can’t eat on the menu…….

Now she starting on Britney 🤣
If anything Britney has made the public more aware?
So disabled people can't be strong? Is that the argument?

I think we are all aware that Britney has mental health issues that could be classified as disability. That doesn't mean she isn't strong and courageous. And being wealthy and famous didn't stop her from being abused. Literally what crack does Cathy smoke? What a miserable little life Jane.

Did her daughters pick that charity or did she pick something that would appear the most woke Also, is it a thing you would need to announce, is it the law children need to give Christmas cards to all in their class? I don’t have children so not sure of the politics of primary school!

I can’t imagine anyone would have an issue with the notion of doing it, I think donating to charity instead of cards is a good idea. However, with Cathy, it all feels very self serving. Did she need to share that on her story, did she need to tell them etc.

Whilst the Tories are twats I find paraphernalia like this so cringe. We get it, you think what most others think in your generation, how groundbreaking 🥴
There’s a reason she’s unpopular in the parents WhatsApp and it’s nothing to do with Christmas cards 😬

I unfollowed Cathy when she had that massive rant about NHS staff asking questions about how her child ended up in A&E and I’ve thought of her so much when I’ve been reading the harrowing story of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes.

I am even more disgusted by her now, knowing she felt it was appropriate to absolutely rinse those staff who helped her sick child, when they were basically trying to rule out child neglect/abuse. It’s their fucking job to ask questions!! And sadly many feel reluctant to do it when they come up against people like her. How arrogant can you be that you don’t see the good in what these staff are doing when they’re asking what happened, whether their dad also lives at home etc. Taking everything as a personal attack and failing to see the bigger picture is such a shit quality to have, she is honestly an absolute disgrace.

She definitely has massive issues over the fact she is white. I think it relates to the fact her children have a black father, almost like she wants to distance herself from other white women (“I’m not like the other girls!”) and to make herself feel better about the fact she might not understand some of the things her girls will experience because of their skin colour when she’s so used to understanding their experiences relating to dwarfism.

Although, I do agree she sent it herself like she definitely did with that magazine request way back when.

Am I missing something here with the wine?! I don’t get why someone saying meat was triggering was violent but she’s fully on board with hiding alcohol?
Let's not try and apply logic here 😂.

What's the fucking difference between seeing a glass of wine and knowing there's a glass of wine under the sticker anyway? Like the very sight of a glass of wine is going to push a recovering addict over the edge.

She's drawn way more attention to it by covering it then mentioning it twice for fucks sake 😂.

It’s just because you’re highly unlikeable, that’s why Cathy. Also your ideas might have been shit, you thinking they’re great is just your opinion.

In what world is this acceptable behaviour, that’s like me going on LinkedIn, because I didn’t get a response to a job application, and then calling the company out with some aggressive post. Sure fire way to make me appear unemployable.

The pathetic thing is, this may actually work. She’s got a platform and has used some woke buzzwords, that always makes businesses nervous 🙄 Does she acknowledge her privilege in that? I wish companies wouldn’t cower to this bullshit.

Im a strong believer 90% of people don’t prescribe to this crap and also aren’t alt-right Nazis, but everyone’s too scared to say anything because they’ll be labelled as such by people like Cathy. It’s an un-winnable (is that even a word 🤔) battle until people counter it together. I’ll admit I’m even too scared too though, people sadly lose their jobs due to people like her trying to call them out or cancel them.

Cannot stand the way she intersects everything, to her the privilege within each group is so clear cut and not at all nuanced. Life is so much more complicated.

Finally, does realise she can post text on her Instagram story without the need for a photo of her shit hair in the background 🙅🏻‍♀️

The rest of us with dwarfism are struggling to believe you could have a day like she did yesterday, to be honest if those incidents happened in the space of a month I’d think it was a bit ridiculous.
And again with the (midget) I’ve never known anyone that knows of a person with dwarfism to refer to us in that way, what I’ve known is for example “little Cathy” or Cathy (little). I spent my childhood known as “little Crystal” because there was another girl with my name and she was known as “big Crystal” never bothered me, fact is I’m short, people remember a feature more than anything else.

And as with dealing with people laughing or mocking you, yep from time to time it happens, it’s shit but as with all arseholes in life it says more about them that it does you, and it’s not personal, those arseholes are just arseholes and will attempt to humiliate anyone with any difference, old, young, white or not, fat or skinny, tall or short…it’s not personal, they are just simply arseholes. But I guess all of that thinking wouldn’t make Cathy a victim or give her anything to complain about.

Changed her Instagram name.. anyone else think she’s actually fuming Cosmo didn’t ask her to write the article and that’s why she’s felt the need to add ‘writes’ in there 😂
It’s all just so desperately tragic, isn’t it? She’s convinced the reason she doesn’t get offered these writing jobs is because every magazine editor is an ableist scumbag, but in reality it’s because her writing just isn’t very good and she’s not a very nice person 🤦‍♀️
