My first time posting here but my GOD am I glad to see so many people pissed off at the hospital post. Her story where she apparently ‘screamed’ HOW IS THAT RELEVANT when A&E staff enquired about whether the child’s father lives at home.. why is she so entitled? Every parent with a child attending A&E is asked this question. Yes it is relevant, very much so. I think a lot of what she says and does is for dramatic effect and I absolutely KNEW that she’d make a post about how awful she was treated and how ableist everyone involved was. I called it the moment I saw her post her story about the child being unwell. On a separate note, I feel she has such a huge superiority complex that she genuinely believes she is entitled to every man she sets eyes on. Disabled or not, I’m sorry but she isn’t conventionally attractive. Her dwarfism doesn’t contribute to that, she’s just not what society would deem as ‘pretty’ and the way she talks is as if she can and should get any man she wants. I’m so sick of her attitude, and the constant comments about engagement wind me up even more!

The rest of us with dwarfism are struggling to believe you could have a day like she did yesterday, to be honest if those incidents happened in the space of a month I’d think it was a bit ridiculous.
And again with the (midget) I’ve never known anyone that knows of a person with dwarfism to refer to us in that way, what I’ve known is for example “little Cathy” or Cathy (little). I spent my childhood known as “little Crystal” because there was another girl with my name and she was known as “big Crystal” never bothered me, fact is I’m short, people remember a feature more than anything else.

And as with dealing with people laughing or mocking you, yep from time to time it happens, it’s shit but as with all arseholes in life it says more about them that it does you, and it’s not personal, those arseholes are just arseholes and will attempt to humiliate anyone with any difference, old, young, white or not, fat or skinny, tall or short…it’s not personal, they are just simply arseholes. But I guess all of that thinking wouldn’t make Cathy a victim or give her anything to complain about.

The comments her children made sound like absolute bullshit too! And does she really know that her hairdresser is cishet and doesn't perhaps have a hidden disability? Or is mixed race but very fair? So many assumptions from someone who is always banging on about being judged.

As I said, I’m a little person, same as Cathy. My child is not, but obviously spent every day of his life with me, yet if we see another little person he will look, he’s even been known to do a little nervous giggle. It doesn’t matter that he’s been with me, he, like every child on this planet, notices anyone with any slight difference. As a child, despite having the same condition I also looked at other little people, even stared, even into my teenage years, with all the questions in my mind of is that how I look, I’m taller/smaller than them…humans are naturally curious. Rudeness though is something completely different, and why would I or anyone else try to educate someone with that mind frame, because that’s what they are like regardless, and that sort of person would say something about anyone.

She just irritates me so much with her moaning, she appears to have a nice life, there’s many little people who are really disabled with a lot of health conditions and can’t work, can’t go on holiday and haven’t had children and they don’t moan like she does. She’s just so negative.

Firstly, how did she find that out? My hairdresser doesn’t keep her phone on her and even if she did, I’d have to phone her while I was standing next to her to see what came up on the screen. Secondly, I don’t know anyone who uses that kind of language (and I live in a town up north where wokism has yet to land). I haven’t heard of anyone use the word ‘cripple’ in any kind of context since the 19th Century and even ‘midget’ is going out of fashion as an insult and never towards anyone with dwarfism.
She’s so full of bullshit. I absolutely believe that ableism and racism are still rife, there’s no denying that, but why does she have to make this stuff up?

So she’s finally got herself to the hairdressers and (surprise!) is pissed off because the hairdresser has dissuaded her from getting a hairstyle that won’t suit her head shape. I mean, that’s literally their fucking job. I went to the hairdresser once and she rightfully told me I’d look like Lord Farquad if I got a Bob. I can only imagine she’d be pissed off if she got the ridiculous style she’s got her heart set on but ended up looking like a tit... you can’t win with this woman!
