New here so please go easy on me. I am here because I am absolutely livid at the lengths this woman will go to because of online comments or replies she doesn’t like.


Never been a fan as such, read her column, maybe followed her on Twitter some years ago until I lost interest. Have always and only been a Twitter user, until last week as I have deactivated my account due to privacy issues owing to this woman. I am fiercely private/anonymous in my internet usage. I have an abusive estranged family member so it’s imperative he doesn’t find me. I have become particularly private about my Twitter, with the occasional unlocking, since I attended a feminist meet a few years ago. My account, email and others were then under attack from a certain group shall we say that opposed this meeting so I tightened up and became more anonymous.
A little while ago I responded to a post on Twitter which replied to Sali, a reply she took dislike to and, without divulging, she blocked me. I replied calling her out as what she wrote in her replies was, fucking unbelievably disgusting, hypocritical and pretty evil IMO, and I can’t believe no-one apart from me called her out on it. A brief look and it was mentioned on here.
Now she seems to know EXACTLY who I am from those two replies. I don’t have FB but my husband does and she’s blocked him on there and from her beauty group (he hasn’t even got a clue who she is!) I then opened an FB account in a different name to mine - again she’s blocked that. I opened an Instagram account - instant block and I didn’t even follow her or post anything!
Now for the deranged part. SH got someone else to buy something I was selling on Ebay - buyer was asking all sorts of questions, messing me about and wanting to know my weekend plans for collection etc. Obviously them buying meant they got my full name, address and mobile number. I know who the buyer was and it wasn’t too difficult to link back to Sally Huges (yeah I can spell but FUCK YOU SHILLY HUGES). Isn’t this just off the scale?!

So that’s my experience of SH. In all honesty, I feel a bit sorry for her. She has no USP or uniqueness. Give me Lisa Eldridge any day of the week.

What they hate is that is women grouped together and we are not "being kind" or supportive. We are being critical. We are annoyed and fed up by stupid influencers. And yes some of us are bitchy. But there's very little bullying on tattle. Nothing like there is on twitter. It's a tiny corner of the internet where women talk! Most of the time, we are just chatting sh*t and chewing the fat. There's no law against that.

Such a prick. This is what I mean, he’s not even funny. It wasn’t funny the first 50 times either. And a man, mocking the idea of “omg, women enjoying themselves“ is just punching down basically.

Maybe I’m reaching but it seems kind of classist too? A lot of my female friends and relatives are all about “wine o clock” and the relief of taking your bra off. We‘re just ordinary women working hard, parenting or just tying to get through each day.

- attended stage school for 5 years, but the H&S ads are still the limit of her ability

I'd also like to pose the question: why does Lisa Eldridge not have a thread where people go to bitch about her? I mean, if we're supposedly all bitter and horrible and jealous would someone like her not be an ideal target for said jealousy with her wealth, enviable career, beauty, and so on. And why has Ruth Crilly, one of the least offensive influencers but also someone with an enviable career (modelling and travelling the world) and wealth, only got one thread that was started in 2019? There are many more examples but those two are off the top of my head.

Maybe we're not all bitter beef faced married incels and there's another reason?

I wish a journalist would look in more depth about the reasons why people turn to tattle. It’s so lazy. I’m not responsible for all the opinions on Twitter so why should I be responsible for a minority of people who go OTT on tattle. Most the posts I read are thought provoking, insightful yes snarky (but hellish funny at times) rather than evil.
Why shouldn’t women, and GASP, middle aged women have an outlet to vent about the insidious selling, the normalisation of tweakments, the fakeness, the filtering, the outright lying in some cases, the over consumption, promotion of credit and debt and fake lifestyles (not saying sali does all this, just a general point about Instagram and social media)? It’s ageist and sexist rubbish.

People in regular jobs, no matter what their role, are subject to performance reviews. Influencers seem not to to be able to accept that their viewers or followers might have some opinions on their output/content.
