I'm often noticing now how she overstates/exaggerates. I think it's the same MO whether used harmlessly when talking about products or less benignly when talking about Tattle:

'...makes the best sucky-in opaques in the world, ever. Fact' = 'I've tried other brands and these are my favourites'.

'...different from any dry shampoo I’ve used previously (and I’ve used hundreds)' = 'I've used many others'

'They called her fat' = 'One person once said she was not as slim as me - hardly surprising given that I'm only a size 8. And, to be fair, the person who said it then apologised for having made a comment about someone's weight.'

I don't mean to let her off the hook for her misrepresentation of Tattle but I do wonder whether she would even see her account as having been dishonest - just a usual exaggeration for effect. 'Not as slim' / 'fat' - what's the difference?

Snag tights are incredible. So comfortable.
Agree! I jumped on the bandwagon and have actually bought them and shipped them here in Canada to me because I love them so much. I just get basic witch black opaques but they work wonders.

Making an entrance to the Cult Beauty Christmas wrapping event. Who do they think they are, Claudia and Tess? Self-congratulatory bollocks.

I’m a basic witch to in my black opaques. Apart from my Halloween pair for broomstick riding.

Grazia running a story about a young woman who swapped her 9-5 job in engineering to become an influencer and now she’s upset she’s got a Tattle on her 🤷‍♀️
That is so not on. Jesus Christ, when will those filthy little beefy-faced plebs learn that they are not supposed to have opinions about influencers outside the range of favourable to adoring; and that if they DO have the temerity to have such an unwarranted take, that they need keep it to themselves? FFS. #bekind

That Grazia story is idiotic. You can't stop women from talking, having thoughts and opinions. Tattle isn't new either. Get off my Internet (?) was around years before, in the era of "mummy blog" before they all became influencers. Aaah it was a simpler time. They were just trying to tell us how great and superior their parenting was, without trying to flog a bunch of crap.

Men slag people off too. It's called Twitter.

Once again, in a world where 4chan exists, all manner of depraved porn, Qanon, all that, journalists are focusing on a site frequented by women as the worst available on the world wide web

People in regular jobs, no matter what their role, are subject to performance reviews. Influencers seem not to to be able to accept that their viewers or followers might have some opinions on their output/content.

They can't have it every way. They're making money off their 'brand' which is themselves but they only want it to be a one way street of amazing and adoring feedback.

Do they think that people who deal with clients, customers, stakeholders, board members, shareholders, students, patients, suppliers (trying to cover all bases) get told on a daily basis how wonderful and amazing they are? No they don't. Some of the adoring comments influencers get on Instagram for one post are more than what most people will get in years. Why are they so obsessed with Tattle when they get all that gushing feedback?

What they hate is that is women grouped together and we are not "being kind" or supportive. We are being critical. We are annoyed and fed up by stupid influencers. And yes some of us are bitchy. But there's very little bullying on tattle. Nothing like there is on twitter. It's a tiny corner of the internet where women talk! Most of the time, we are just chatting sh*t and chewing the fat. There's no law against that.

Let women talk.

Tabio tights are great quality and never get holes. Lovely colour range. I’ve no idea about sucky-in-ness because I don’t want to be sucked in.

That was my reaction too. It sounds like wearing a girdle. I have such vivid memories of my mother fighting to get one of those on, and it used to make me upset that I would have to do that too when I was ancient like her (38 😆)

Haha! I was actually thinking about that this morning. Had my hair tucked in to my hoody - god it really is incredibly uncomfortable and itchy!!
My hair is past my shoulders for the first time since I was 13, and I've found I cannot stand it touching the back of my neck. I don't know how anyone can bear it 😝

The idea of sucky in tights freaks me out. Where do the sucked in bits go? What the duck are they made of? The same stuff as black holes?*
*I'm not a scientist and I don't wear tights

So many questions. I can only imagine there'd be spillage at the top and a crushed abdomen feeling below that would make eating and drinking most unpleasant
