I had a meeting (If I may call it that) with someone who was present during the Markle Debacle and got fired because of their actions. I don't blame this woman at all, she was trying to do her job. What happened is that Meghan was late and was told by an event planner that she is breaking the dress code. The planner asked her to take her hat off and if she has a change of clothes because no one wears jeans in the main boxes. She told the planner "Do you know I can fucking fire you? Do you know who I am?" and her friends just laughed. Then she skipped security (everyone must go through it, even royals). She wanted some specific red wine in the lounge and they had to explain to her they can only get her local stuff at such a short notice. She had none of it. Her friend had like 4 Pimm's cups under an hour and was telling innapropriate jokes to staff. Meghan was cussing all the time and smiling like a psychopath at the camera. Then came the infamous box emptying incident.
She came to that match with a 20 min notice. The RPOs were gobsmacked at the rush and one of them confessed it was his day off but they pulled him out to escort her to the match. They had to allocate the entire box because no one had been background checked and Markle was laughing all the time at watching people leave. She said "This is just for us!" Not all people in the box could find seats so they lost around £15k on that incident in tickets only due to refunds. Some of then threatened to sue. Then came the bomb.
The Duke of Kent and the Duchess of Cambridge were on a conference call. Catherine sounded apologetic and Prince Edward sounded on the verge of tears. He said that never in his life time has a member of his own family done something on that level on his event and offered to pay the ticket difference and Catherine did the same. One of the RPOs very openly complained about Meghan and said that he believed she got very drunk with her friends. Catherine sounded horrified and apologised profusely. The Duke of Kent hosted a private dinner for everyone involved but the people who accomodated Meghan got fired because they cost the tournament so much. This person said she knew she is going to get fired the moment they couldn't find a spot for people who actually came on time and paid their tickets. By the way, Markle didn't leave a single dime there. Prince Edward and Catherine covered that out of their own pockets.
I don't know what else to say except for disgusting. She cost several people their jobs and possibly made the lovely Prince Edward cry. So much on members of the royal family making her cry.

The story is

Blair was visiting the Military establishment I was working at. Against my bosses better judgement I was placed in an area where Blair could actually talk to me. He was bemoaning the fact that the Military were overstretched and overworked and before anyone could shut me down I blurted out something along the lines of “well I’m not the dumb cunt who ordered a strategic defence review and then cut the Armed Forces in size”. He just stared at me and walked off as everyone else tried to stop sniggering.

The donation to the restaurant was for their Covid relief fund. Not that I think they'll see any money.
The school visit was appalling. Far from encouraging literacy, being read 'The Bench' would be enough to put a kid off reading for life. I don't understand how the teachers there can look at themselves in the mirror. They must know that 'The Bench' was drivel and totally unsuited for the children present.
Did anyone stop to think that some of those kids may not have fathers present in their lives? That it might be a very sensitive issue with them? If there were fatherless kids there, then it was cruel to read that excuse of a book to them. I'm really quite angry about this Some decency should have been shown.
Outfits are hideous. Weight gain? Surely she should show some body positivity since she's all about female empowerment and feminism?
Also the idea that a 95 year old great grandmother should be keeping her 37 year old grandson in check is ridiculous. Once someone hits adulthood, their parents aren't responsible for them, let alone their grandmothers.

I've lost so much respect for TQ. She's letting Andrew and Harry destroy the monarchy, abuse their siblings- while she smiles like a doofus at flowers or some shit like nothing was wrong.

I think Meghan walked in, saw what a 95 yr old nitwit TQ had become, how complacent Charles and William had become, and knew this shit was a house of cards and she'd been duped. So she's getting what she can out of it while it lasts.

And The Queen just keeps smiling like an idiot.

The Queen has had to cope with a lot more than Meghan Markle in her lifetime. She is no stranger to scandal, stupidity or duplicitous dealings, and she has learned how best to cope, not just for her, but for the country she serves. She is certainly no nitwit, and never has been one. It was thought that Diana would damage the monarchy, with the frenzy of negativity against the Queen, Charles and Camilla. But time has changed the view of that situation. We can see that Diana had problems, was manipulative and self serving and brought a great deal of her demise to her own door. We have accepted Camilla as the woman that Charles should have been with all along, they are so well suited and they clearly have great love for each other. I don’t see the Andrew saga as important in the grand scheme of things, I just think he has been an idiot. In the future, his story will be a mere snippet of interest in magazines. The future of the Royal Family lies with William, and I have great faith in him. The Queen has done a wonderful job her whole life, and no matter how privileged her life has been, I would not have wanted her responsibilities. For a woman who has given her life over to her country to have her mental capacity questioned is sad. How she should deal with Harry and Meghan is not her choice to make, her hands are tied in so many ways, but it will be dealt with without histrionics. I can hardly believe I have written this, I would never have described myself as a Royalist. But it boils down to this I think. When I wake up tired and decide that I can spend all day in my pyjamas if I want to, the Queen has to go out all dressed up to meet people she doesn’t know, talk about things she likely has no interest in, watch every word she utters, putting in a face that cannot be criticised, I feel sorry for her. My mother died aged 94, and she was pretty sprightly and mentally alert, but a wee trip to the co-op was about all she could manage before she needed a cup of tea and a sit down with her puzzle book. The Queen is amazing. Please don’t call her an idiot.

Sorry I don't generally contribute to this thread but I just have to say - what the fuck do these two think they're doing? Have they forgotten they've left the BRF? They're essentially celebrities now, so why all this publicity shit pretending to care about these places they're visiting, as if they are members of the royal family? It wasn't snappish at all. I thought about what I wanted to say. And, since this is a gossip forum, it could be argued that none of the posts on here are actually necessary.
But in context I feel my response was apt. Smegs wasn't duped and the Queen doesn't smile like 'a doofus' or 'an idiot'. @Rescue chicken has made one post on Tattle and it was to slag the Queen off and imply that 'poor little smegs' was conned in some way. Smegs is the con artist here, no one else. So I'm going to respond in the way I want and you don't get to police my response. @Rescue chicken should read the room before posting.

I watched the long video shot from far off, the cameraman seemed drunk and the place was full of barriers to keep away the crowds (that weren't there) to cheer the courageous young breakaway royal couple. People walking past couldn't have seemed less interested. Total non-event, boring, charisma-free and devoid of glamour, a dreary event in grey and black. NoBalls anxious and fiddling with his wedding ring. I know it's a video but I got really bad vibes from it - they didn't want to be there or with each other.

She seethes because he's THE Important One when it should be her, but there's nothing she can do but stick with him as he's a Prints and she's a Trailer Ho. She tried to steal his royal credentials, tried consistently, and failed. She tried to steal Diana's royal credentials, take over her mantle. Failed here too. Thought she could reinvent herself as Diana II or Noballs's ex when she'd conquered the world, on his royal back and in her own right, and then shed him. Failed. The world saw through them both. Now she's shackled to him like she's stuck with her bunions and balding scalp and it's too late now. You blew it big time you greedy Ho.

This is what I believe is wrong with them, they are both totally consumed by the bitterness of their failure. Somebody will have to pay for all their nasty secrets coming out. He seethes because she dominates and walks all over him, seethes because the whole world knows he's a pretend soldier and an dim back-stabbing flake who likes to be dominated and "roasted". Seethes because he's not got the balls to break free of his bullying wife, and most of all seethes because his brother William and PP were bang on the nail about his Ho - he threw away a golden heritage for a piece of trash and they have been proved right.

If there was a Hell on esrth, being MM wouldn't be far off the mark.
