Am I the only one wondering if they still have Abbie do the chore chart in the RV every single day? My bet is they don't. I can't wait for the homeschool vlogs to start. LOL

This may seem like small things to you guys, but it is huge for my boy. He started his summer school this week and they do a lot of volunteer work out in the community-which I didn't know how he would handle. This boy has made me so proud. His class went to volunteer at a thrift store yesterday. He sorted bags and checked them for holes. Apparently he did fantastic and came home with a T-shirt and stuffed animal. This is the kind of thing that A&P don't want for their precious Abbie, but I see it as a good thing. I see it as he can attend to a task and complete a small job with a purpose out in the community with all the distractions. He absolutely loves going and is learning to be yet more independent. As soon as I tell him he has a "bus today" he jumps up out of bed.

As for the whole ID dx, I know in our state, this actually gets him more help than just his autism dx. It doesn't change any of his therapies, he is still in the ASD support classroom in school, he still gets the support he needs from aides and all that. The ID dx however comes with even more funding. Things like our window alarms were purchased from funds we got from the ID side of our supports. The ID helps secure his supports for the future. I don't know how Florida does things as it is a backwards ass state as far as autism services and supports go, but that it how it works here in PA.

Also remember, in the snake video, P not only put Ab between her and the noodle but she shoved her. Ab had no idea about the animal but was clearly upset about her "mother's" reaction and being pushed. P tried to cover her ass by saying she tried to knock her out of the way (ya know.... by hitting her towards the critter.) Then instead of helping comfort distraught Abigail (or even allowing anyone else to) she proceeded to claim injury and trying to get attention and sympathy for herself.

The whole thing showed a LOT about the kind of subhuman P really is.

I got the feeling that may have been an activity from her school, she seemed to know just what to do. and she looked happy til Fatboy started forcing her to hold both sticks and sitting her down.
Exactly right. I thought the same thing as soon as I saw A having to control how Abbie was going about drumming. She was just fine standing there. Then in comes the A Ball of Control and he has her sit down and hit what he wants her to. She quickly loses interest at that point, as would I if someone was CONSTANTLY interfering. My God, man! Leave her the F alone!
They had to spotlight that there was some egg breakage on the floor, and make a big deal out of it. They both have some kind of mental problem, or maybe it’s an ego issue. They have to show off, appear to be the best and have the best, always be right, can’t take any type of suggestion or advice. I suspect if they had listened to the many therapists that have entered into their world, Abbie would be much further along.

Ok Tattlers that are familiar with the “hike” they did - in this ig story she is VERY dramatic about “surviving the hike”. She says she is SO sore. That it was hard and emotional. It was a mile? Right? It didn’t look like you climbed steep hill or rock formations. She acts like she has scaled the top of Pikes Peak. On one hand YAY for getting some actual exercise, but. If you act like you’re dying from a one mile walk….that should be telling. Oh, and the worst part? She broke two nails. 🙄
I keep thinking about this "hike" and how Asa will edit this video. She acts like it was an Olympic event, and she cried. He was wrangling Abbie, boo-hooing Piggy, a camera. Surely he didn't add the dogs to this. I will bet there was a ton of yelling, cursing, yanking (we won't see this part), . How many times did Abbie just plop down and try to take her shoes off? Princess P bitching the entire way. Everybody pouring sweat, Abbie filling her diaper, asking for snacks and cart ride. What in the hell did he think would happen??

Well, after reading this caption, frankly Abbie probably eloped to the horse statue, not "hiked".
And why they would even let her or the dogs have free range in rocky, hilly terrain is the height of stupidity to begin with. o_O

Should read … “We don’t give a rat’s ass what good happened to you this week…but since you believe that we do, please comment below as it lines our pockets.” 😡😡😡 Who falls for this shit? I feel so bad for the misled souls who do.

Some of the people here sound like they got something real personal against these people. I read so many people make comments about how they treat Abbie but I have not seen them mistreat her or neglect her in anyway so I am not sure where you all are getting that from and hoping she goes to a group home or something. That is so crazy to want a child to be put in a crooked system
Yeah I dislike them but not enough to have my life revolve around them and harass them and how come every one repeats the same things with no original thought
Plus I find it very hard to believe that people on this site are active and not obese so why all the fat jokes
But yea I get that this is a different forum so keep up the snark as I’m enjoying reading on my end

LOL MY life certainly does not revolve around these people. It revolves around my own son. I know a ton about autism because my kid also has autism and ID like Abbie. I know they could be doing a lot more with regards to using her AAC tablet, having a structured routine, and I know the homeschooling route as well. Regarding their health, that will bite them in the ass sooner rather than later. They are living on luck as far as that goes so far. My hubby had a heart attack last Jan that he was lucky to survive. He is/was not as obese as either A or P. Imagine one of them having a major medical crisis? It's just a matter of time before it happens.

This old video shows Abbie just being a brat, throwing shit around just to piss Priscilla off (which, part of me thinks is hilarious!) And Pig doesn't know how to handle it even back then.
Look at her neck...it's not nearly as bent and she is not hunched over.
Screenshot (1699).png

She independently opened the Lysol Wipes and got one out. I don't think I have ever seen her do this in the past few years.
Screenshot (1696).png

She had toys and was so alert and with it.
Screenshot (1694).png

Abbie really presents as a totally different kid in terms of how she looked back then to now.

How very sad to see how much she has regressed in some areas since this video was taken.😞

Do you think that Abbie could progress in a more encouraging environment? I often wonder if she would do better in a concentrated home setting with regular family visits. In Abbie's situation, I think it would be kinder for her to be in a structured setting with regular home visits.
Absolutely.

Hell, I'll say it. If Asa somehow completely turned his personality around and devoted 75% of the attention he focuses on vlogging & comment sections instead on Abbie, and if he listened to what people like Brandy said and actually put her therapies into practice,
AND if he and his wife held reasonable expectations for Abbie,
their "schooling at home" idea would probably work.

The key is reasonable expectations.

At this point in her life most of the proverbial train has left the station. She'll never ride her bike to the store. She'll never pack herself a lunch. She'll never see that the dishwasher has completed its cycle and independently put away the clean dishes, or hear the buzzer of the washing machine & go switch the clothes to the dryer.

She could probably learn how to prepare very simple meals with prompting - something like making a sandwich if the ingredients are prepped for her & placed in their own designated spot in the refrigerator.
She could learn to put toys away at the end of the day, to make her bed in the mornings, any of a number of simple, habit-based tasks that are done at the same time every day.
If her sensory needs were met, she'd be calmer and less destructive.

But the entire structure of Asa & Priscilla's lives would have to change drastically for that to happen in the home, not to mention personality changes just as drastic.
No more letting her use tantrums or avoidance to get out of doing things ever. Not even once. And the extinction burst that would/will come with trying to stop the tantrums would be beyond epic, something I know for certain Priscilla could never tolerate.
Their lives would 100% consist of nothing but a schedule. Get up at the same time, perform the same routines at the same time every single day (for those tasks they'd want to become habit like picking up toys or making the bed), constant attention to sensory needs no matter how much Priscilla likes her white trash Southern Living decor and how embarrassed she is by Abbie playing with toddler toys, meals at the same time every day, strict bedtime routines every night....literally everything would have to change about how they live.
Food will get spilled and ruined. Dishes will get broken. That's what needs to happen if they want her to be able to do even the simplest kitchen task like making a sandwich, and it will take months or more.
Anything that happens in ABA and/or with her "teacher" must also happen outside of Abbie's time with those people. If Brandy uses a token system for breaks, they must use the same token system for breaks when she's not there EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME NO EXCEPTIONS.

If they'd BEEN doing that sort of stuff all along, since Abbie was a toddler, she'd probably be closer to Braylee's current level of functioning (echolalia aside). She could have probably been able to hold a simple "job" a day or two a week doing things like shredding or basic assembly - but let's never forget the vlog in the old house where Asa proudly proclaimed that Abbie would never hold a pointless job like that, how it was useless for her to do so, which now seems to be biting him in the ass.

A very specialized "home," with trained staff and established rules and routines and boundaries, would probably be better for her. The issue is finding one, waiting for an open spot in one, and paying for it. Maybe they've been lying about always wanting to keep her at home; maybe they've been researching and on waitlists for years now. But I'm more inclined to think that they(Asa) has always been more invested in keeping her around for filming & content and won't consider placing her in a structured environment until they physically cannot manage her anymore, and it's not like there are an abundance of places with tons of availability just waiting for them to stroll Abbie in with her suitcases.

Now I’m confused 🤪. I remember in many of the vlogs Asa referring to her having IDD. So now all of a sudden she doesn’t have that diagnosis?? What the hell??
He's playing word games.

He knows damn well she has an intellectual disability.

She doesn't have a diagnosis of "IDD" because that's not actually a thing that would appear in her medical records.

He's always, until very recently, said Abbie has a "developmental delay." This is a diagnosis given to toddler/preschool aged children. You can't really diagnose an intellectual disability at a young age. When she was diagnosed with autism (IIRC, she was first diagnosed with PDD [pervasive developmental disorder] and then, after further testing, Infantile Autism - they all fall under the Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis currently) she was also given a developmental delay diagnosis. He's always stuck with that when discussing anything beyond autism & pica.
Delay sounds a lot nicer than disability. It implies that they'll "catch up," or that they're only somewhat behind their peers. Disability is permanent. That's why young children are given a developmental DELAY (or, occasionally, an intellectual DELAY) diagnosis. A lot of kids who get that diagnosis grow out of it as they attend school and therapies, and it can be refined into a more specific diagnosis when they're older. A developmental delay can go away, or it can turn into a learning disability, or a specific communication disability, etc. Not every 4 year old with a DD diagnosis actually has a permanent intellectual disability; they may have dyslexia or an auditory processing disorder, for example.

I think they either refused to get her developmental delay diagnosis medically re-evaluated, or if they were forced to (for insurance, Medicaid, etc reasons) they don't view it as a valid diagnosis.

If she "only" has a developmental delay dx, they can continue to live in their fantasy land of Abbie packing her lunch, hopping on her bike, and going to work choosing vintage t-shirts for her online shop. Asa can keep vlogging her, keep the humpers on tenterhooks waiting for Abbie to do all sorts of things independently.
It's just a delay, you see. A developmental delay.

Very recently, like within the last 6 months, he admitted in a vlog to the intellectual disability thing. That official diagnosis will be a part of their guardianship process when she turns 18, so if it's not in her medical records already, he knows it will have to be here in the next few months.

She used to be in pt and ot. Asshat said they stopped it because insurance wouldn’t cover it. Apparently they (insurance) claimed she didn’t need it anymore. I think they just wanted more time to do what they want instead of driving and going to appointments.
When insurance didn't want to cover the Dynavox that A&P were convinced would make Abbie a Real Girl (as another poster so cleverly put it) they fought and fought and grifted their way into getting it from a viewer. When the school district didn't want to provide the services A&P thought would make Abbie a Real Girl, they argued and sued their way into a new school. They only fight for the things they think will be quick fixes and make Abbie the "normal" child they always dreamed of...they're too short-sighted to understand all of these other things like PT, OT, and follow-through would add up to Abbie functioning more normally and being easier to handle.

Maverick was given to them by an organization, after another company refused to let Abbie have one. Abbie was refused a service dog by a company because she wouldn’t be able to make a connection, nor would it be seen as valuable for her to have a dog. (Even for elopement, the person has to show with slight resistance, the ability to stop and we all know Abbie, even being tied to a chair, would fight, scream and try to still get away, which would possibly hurt or injure a service dog). Abbie never used Maverick in his attended training because A&P were both lazy in trying to work with them. So, Maverick quickly untrained himself in commands and abilities (totally not his fault).
An important distinction:

they were turned down by the first organization because Abbie was immediately rough with a dog they had on the premises - to hear Asa tell the story they were pretty much escorted out immediately after arriving (and I think it was quite a long drive away, too). Priscilla cried in the vlog about how unfair it was.

Maverick came from a second organization. He was trained in service work by an incarcerated person in (Georgia?) - they got him as a small pup, then after a few weeks or months he was sent to the facility to be trained, then came back to the rental.

They claim they "retired" Mav before the vlogging started on a regular basis because Abbie no longer needed him for emotional regulation. She could handle all that on her own.
Obviously that's not the truth. She can't regulate.
They expected a service dog who would do all the work of elopement prevention and emotional regulation on his own, to be an adorable accessory to walk Abbie down the beach during SFA events and through Walmart while they shopped, and they wanted immediate results without the need for them to do any maintenance training with poor Mav.

Chatting with a fellow tat outside of here earlier in the week. AintNuthin was given the name AintNew. LMAO. Someone is quite familiar with this site, and is definitely stirring up shit. Likely for their own entertainment. 🤣
My thought is the poster is a former Tattler, not a former SW employee or Isaiah.
1- Isaiah is as obnoxious as Asa- he doesnt have the self control to respond without being defensive or cocky.
2- A former employee would have something to say, right? Why show up here and literally dance around but offer no insight at all?
3- A former Tattler, or even a current one with a second account may just be bored AF and stirring the pot.

Watching this 17 min commercial for Audible.🙄 Where they are hiking is gorgeous. Looks peaceful. Why would you need an audiobook playing in your ear in a place like that? Personally, I would rather listen to the sounds of the earth. Listen for critters. Hear the wind blow through the tall grass. They are so disconnected from anything remotely satisfying to the soul.
