I think fellow Tattlers I’ll say my piece and then I’ll leave it at that.
I donated to Shannens GFM because she was a young girl going through Transplant the same as me. I’ve been around the cancer block for many years and been friends with many transplant patients not here to tell their tale anymore.
Briefly my transplant process was horrendous my husband had to work there was a mortgage to be paid so I spent a lot of time on my own both in hospital and the apartment. When I did get home even though I had to travel to Dublin 3 times a week as I was still technically employed I was turned down for Free Travel. I ran up huge debt in a year related to travel and hotel costs when I was too ill to come home.

When I read about Shannens story my thoughts went to my debts and also what treatment would be available if she relapsed again. My thought process was make things a little easier for this family. I actually had no issue with her purchasing a car I vividly remember my husband’s heap of crap breaking down on the Motorway as he was driving to James when I got bad news so a car would be a great help to her.

My issue with Shannen initially started one day when I was watching her stories she was trying to flog vitiams, now to patients who are on treatment or immunosuppressive medication these things can be toxic. I then read her update on GFM that she was going to pay the excess funds forward and change some life’s and I thought that’s amazing some people who couldn’t possibly raise funds will get a little bit of help. A bit of help to keep the heating on longer or pay the orthodontist bill that’s not getting paid because mum/dad now has cancer.

The the barrage of lies started, the constant calling TROLL, the blocking of anyone who asked a question and of course the treatment of our Missy Brenda, a lady with style and grace. As a transplant survivor myself I have the deepest of empathy for what Shannen has gone through.
She is so lucky to have survived we both are. However hand on my heart is someone had offered me 1000 euro from their GFM to cover a months trains when I needed it I would have kissed their feet.

So from my perspective the money is gone and Her half hearted apology to Brenda is the only one she will ever get. We will never no the truth, she can’t remember her own lies. I wish her the very best of luck and good health going forward, she’s going to need it Ireland is a small country and it’s people have long memories.

Liz has been in touch with me and has been so kind to me since the fake Tea Spill call out page accused both of us of being Tea Spill.
Liz is genuinely shocked at me bring trolled by the call out Tea Spill page. Tea Spill has proof it was Shannen behind it.

All I want and have wanted from the get go is for Shannen to be called out for scamming honest people. End of. And obviously the fact I have terminal cancer makes me more passionate about it. Joy who is Liz’s partner is a cancer survivor so I am delighted to have the support and genuine care from Liz.
Shannen will pee in her pants if Liz confronts her. And after that despicable podcast and the lies about me from Shannen I am happy to have Liz along with all of you in my corner and finally get Shannen to address the crux of this whole shitshow………where is the GFM money………simple as. I didn’t want or need this stress in my life but I am honest and have been from the start. I am not a troll. I am a woman who asked a very simple question and in turn I got vile messages and I’m being labelled as a liar and a troll. I’m the polar opposite and I know you all know that.
I will continue to fight cancer and fight being labelled a troll. I’m a tough cookie and I didn’t have a vindictive bone in my body

I am just blown away………I won’t lie the past couple of days with all this shit show my pain and anxiety are through the roof but this has given me such a lift it’s hard to put it into words. Shouldn’t have but I’ve just watched her stories. And I do feel bad for her……I’m too soft. But she only has herself to blame and that’s when I just appreciate the support on here for coming out with the story. They are crocodile tears. Yes her anxiety is through the roof but only because she has been outed. And I would imagine she has invested a huge chunk of the GFM into launching her brand and now it’s completely backfired. And she only has herself to blame. I was happily getting on with my life and then she dragged all the shut up and again slandered my name on the podcast and the RSVP etc sympathy bullshit. So fir me enough was enough. I went public and now I’m not just a nameless faceless person who tried to hold her accountable for the original question I asked and is the crux f this whole shitshow she has made of her own doing. I have zero regret. I’m only trying to do the right thing. So Shannen……I was rattled too……the night I got the threatening messages from the fake call out Teaspill page and over the past few days from the messages asking me to show receipts for the amazing PayPal donations to try and see my bucket list ticked.
I am proud that I, despite all I’m going through, had the integrity to keep this conversation going and I am proud of me. I’m dying from cancer. I don’t need this shit in my life. But I do feel sorry for you. But you could have simply prevented all of this by not blatantly lying about me and twisting the narrative to suit you. I might have cancer but my integrity and my honesty will always stay with me…… until I take my last breath. I’m bawling here typing this but I’m blown away by the love and support from all of you here and that’s because you can all tell, without having met me, I am a strong genuinely honest woman.

I truly believe there is a need for pages like this to exist. Otherwise, people like Shannen can push a narrative and never be questioned. That page was set up for medical expenses, not a miscellaneous designation. While maybe about 20000 might have been used towards car and apartment- 25 at a push, there is no way €200,000 was needed.

I am not a troll. I am an honest, hardworking person who thought she was terminal when she announced the relapse. I wanted to help her pay for the things she *needed. A trip away even after the transplant wouldn’t have been too much to stomach. After the treatment, you wouldn’t blame someone for needing a break. However, she took that money in bad faith. Yes, she had cancer but it was very much treatable, unlike thousands of other people everyday. That money was taken out of greed. I know it’s hard to say no to that amount of money but it’s already brought her so much bad luck. I wouldn’t want it after all of this.

Anyway, personally I’m glad for this page. I‘ve managed to find a date for Coldplay. We will probably raise a toast to Shannen. If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have met.

Thought it would be great to put together all the research and a timeline to package it up nicely for any new readers here since Tea spill or to package it up nicely for the media to pick it up and run a story on:

2019 - mid 2020
Shannen gets cancer for the second time. Starts an Insta page (the big c and me) because she wants to share her journey and help people.
Gets shared on Galz who snap, by the likes of Sue, Rosie and Grace - her following gets up to about 10k. She gets a Late Late Show appearance, a Voduz brand ambassador gig, radio and media attention and is the face of an Irish Cancer Society campaign. Her and Barry start a podcast. She’s getting a taste of the spotlight and the freebies from being in the spotlight.

Early- mid June 2020
First up was Shannen’s multiple attempts at creating drama to gain sympathy and boost following. Her first attempt was coming on ranting about “trolling”, saying she got a couple of nasty messages - she got shared by a couple of the influencer gang (outrage that poor Shannen the cancer victim was being trolled, go over and follow her to support her etc.) but didn’t quite gain the traction that Shannen needed to grow her numbers. Only got her from just under 10k to around 14k in a week.

June 30

Only 2-3 weeks later - she needed to think bigger - the golden ticket scam, pretending she got sent babygrows. Came on stories first playing dumb laughing saying I don’t why someone sent me these. Then within a few hours she was on crying saying someone random had sent her a dm saying “it’s a pity you’ll never get to use them”. Dramatics of her saying she wouldn’t be on social media for a while. However - no explanation of how some supposed random troll would’ve got her private home address. Remember she wasn’t an influencer at this stage. Got media coverage due to big outrage from some of the big influencers like MRS who came on her stories bawling about how awful it was, poor Shannen being trolled. Her followers started to really grow.

‘Here we go again’ - campaigner Shannen Joyce (25) reveals her cancer has returned for third time
Instagram influencer and campaigner Shannen Joyce (25) has revealed that her cancer has returned for the third time.

Less than a week later, she dropped the news that she had relapsed publicly (which she would have known all the time the baby vest saga was ongoing). Then she gets propelled to the 100k mark in a matter of 2-3 weeks.

July 8 2020 - 1 day later! the famous GFM
Then her instagram friend Ciaran Byrne (had they ever even met in person) launched the GFM straight away (knee jerk reaction) before Shannen even knew for sure what her treatment was even going to be! Initial goal amount set at €10,000 - we all know the story, claimed it was needed for treatment and living expenses. However, within only a few days it had exploded to over €100k. Shannen came on saying it was going to be closed however it wasn’t closed for another few days and left climb up to €175k along with other public fundraisers (Voduz etc.) and private local fundraisers and private donations that there wouldn’t be any public record of. Safe to assume she got over €200k total easily.

Late July/August 2020
Within only a couple of weeks of the GFM, there was a fairly new car purchased as well as numerous hotel breaks away to places like the Castlemartyr resort. People started to raise eyebrows already about what the money was being used.

I could keep going but it’s all documented in these threads. Shannen’s treatment was all free, she could’ve used a free apartment in Dublin supplied by the hospital. The apartment that she needed to rent for 6-9 months was only rented for 3-4 months and in fact if they stayed in it for a month in total it would’ve been a lot as she was released from hospital and left go home to Youghal very quickly and then they were only staying in 1 night a week or a fortnight when they were coming to Dublin for appointments.
Her Dad was driving her to all the appointments (Where was the new car that had to be bought for all the trips to Dublin and where was Barry who they needed the money for to be off work taking her!?)

In the meantime, Shannen continues to try and be an influencer and gets signed to an agency in August 2021.

Shannen then gave an update in January 2021, available to view on the GFM - only because people were talking here on Tattle and I think because she was blocking anyone who commented or messaged her asking her about the GFM, people started to contact the Byrnes who were the instigators of the GFM. Shannen was shamed into giving an update on the page. Made a statement that she would keep the money until January 2022 in case of relapse and then donate it. No evidence of any donations made to date.

Shannen in the mean time trying to make it as an influencer. Lived very carelessly as a post cancer and transplant patient during COVID, money being splashed on runners, Nike jumpers, eyelash extensions, nights away, nights out. Bold as brass refusing to be accountable or answerable about the GFM.

Which leads us to now. The traction is building and people have had enough of Shannen. She’s losing followers. She’s been called out by Tea Spill. Her agency look to have dropped her. She was highlighted for abusing a terminally ill cancer patient for asking about the GFM.

I would love to see the Irish media put spotlight on how the unregulated Go Fund Mes have to stop in this country. Shannen is the absolute worst example of it but there are many more. Irish people are too trusting and generous. This girl is literally the reason many of us on here will never donate to go fund mes again. That’s her legacy.

Also - can I just add that the Tattle thread is now the 4th top Google result when you Google Shannen Joyce. Well done everyone, let’s ensure anyone Googling this scamming piece of work finds these threads so she can’t pull the wool over anyone’s eyes anymore. So include her full name as much as you can - especially in the thread titles.

Still no donations made to any charity , dropped by her agency not only for her deplorable comments to Missy but her overall handling of the situation ie. throwing a major tantrum on the gram. Turns her page to private no messages of support from her fellow instahuns.

Asking for help to gain more followers.

Suddenly……… she finds a lump off to St James she goes asking for candles prayers while she sits first class on the train.
Whew it’s all ok a reg had a good feel and it’s nothing to be worried about. Her pain however is horrendous and will need pain management.

Following week up to Dublin again to meet friends to record a podcast didn’t bother going home stayed drinking all night. PS no pain management needed

Now going public for the first time Noooooo the third time. She accuses Missy of abusive messages shared the screenshots we had already seen the very same screenshots she lied about last week that she had no access to as Missy blocked her lie lie lie.

More importantly The absolute love respect and kindness shown to Missy on this thread during this awful time when she’s in the most horrendous situation only goes to show what kind of Tattlers we are.

New to this one and she is boiling my piss no end. Also the narrative that anyone questioning her is unsympathetic to her illness and wants her to die or something. Jesus Christ, what a spiteful narrative to be spinning when a lot of those people might be going through or have gone through cancer themselves. I actually can’t believe a cancer survivor would be so fucking spiteful….but here she is.

I wouldn’t wish the disease on anyone and I hope that her health is improving. But…if she had an ounce of moral decency she’d try and make the GFM situation right, even if she is convinced that no-one minds what she spends it on. So much good could be done with that kind of money for people who aren’t as fortunate in terms of finances during a cancer diagnosis, or cancer research, or any other good cause that she saw fit to donate to. She has the power to end this story in the right way, by doing the right thing. She chooses not to.

You can have tremendous sympathy for her past experience and health issues whilst also thinking she is way out of line with her behaviour around the GFM. To tar us all as haters or people hoping she falls down with the disease is how fraudsters get away with what they do. Shannen has the ability to end this, but clearly her ill-gotten gains mean more to her than all the other cancer patients she could help if she did the right thing with the money. As for the one with the twins….I’d need another day for that oxygen thief!

I think Bren has handled herself really well here and should be applauded for pursuing what is right when she has her own battles she’s fighting that are much more important. People negging her for it should be utterly ashamed of themselves, Shannen included.

Teaspills story today is making me so sad and angry. How can people start messaging Brenda nasty messages and her in the process of treatment. Shannen 100% knew what she was doing the manipulative witch. Is there no media that could run a story with Brenda to get her side out there, publicly show Ireland what this one has done and reveal her true colours. I'm just gobsmacked at the audacity of these imbeciles and devastated Brenda is on the receiving end of abuse, all through Shannens making whilst she sits on watching no doubt with her smirk fully fixed to her face.

Thank you @Mel33. I’m just home from treatment and I’m just trying to focus on all the positive messages and not the nasty ones. I told my oncology nurse the whole story and she is urging me to go public. Std said that so many patients have had GFM set up under the guise that they need the money for treatment when in fact as we all know ALL Oncology treatment in this country except very rare treatments are 100% covered by the HSE. She said Shannen was the talk of various nurses and doctors not only in James but also when her GFM hit such a high figure in other units too.
I would 100% be prepared to go public but unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any in the media with the balls to cover my story. So for now I’m just content that me telling my story has raised so many eyebrows and still unanswered questions unfortunately.
But I will not entertain anymore trolling or abusive messages. Tea Spill has asked me to forward her every nasty messsge I get so she will put it on her page………and I fully intend to.
But for now I’m going to rest up and I’ll be chatting to the beautiful lady later about our arrangements for Coldplay……OMG I’m just so feckin excited

It's hilarious all these absolute MUGS on Insta, trying to defend her and make out she's the victim of some huge conspiracy theory witch hunt.
I know the majority of them read on here, so let me break it down for you....in literally the simplest way possible.

• Shannen became sick
• A Go Fund Me was organised, set at 10k, to help Shannen pay for treatment and the expenses that go with this
• People rallied for Shannen, donated, wished her well. Shannen's fundraiser reached 170k+
• It later developed that much of her treatment and costs associated with the treatment had been covered by various different means - so what happens to all the money raised?
• Shannen vowed to donate the fundraiser money, or "play it forward", in her own words...to someone else going through cancer - after she was given the all clear, which in my understanding - was 17/18 months ago

I can wholeheartedly say with conviction, that every single person that donated to her fund, donated in good faith with the understanding the money would be used for medical expenses. Shannen seems to think, and has stated on many occasions that "the money is hers to do what she pleases with, and it's nobody else's business". She even informed us that "nearly everyone that donated doesn't care what I do with the money"

Again, going back to my above point - I can wholeheartedly say that if you were to go back to all the people that donated, and asked if they're OK with their money being used for "whatever she see's fit"...majority would have an issue with this.
Shannen not only vowed to donate a large portion of the money to good causes, but she also vowed to post how the money was spent - promising it was used in line with what the fundraiser was originally started for - medical purposes.
In the last 24 hours, she couldn't help herself snapping back online saying she paid for her recent haul from the garden centre with money from the Go Fund Me, something she quickly deleted. Whether it's true or not - it show's how brazen, flippant and unbothered she is about anything.

Shannen is now doing what she does best. Playing the victim. She thrives on pity and making out like everyone is out to get her. She calls out the "troll" or "bully" card whenever a person dares try to hold her accountable. Many people that personally donated to her fund have been blocked for simply asking how their donations have been spent. I'm sorry but if a total stranger donated money to me out of the kindness of their heart, I would have no objections whatsoever in showing whatever receipts they wanted - along with a boat load of gratitude....but not our Shannen - BLOCK!
The reason Shannen made a half arsed, bullshit apology to @Missymeister is to protect her "brand". To uphold the sweet little Cork girl with the big brown eyes and pixie hair image. However, that image - the mask - is starting to slip.

People have every right to question Shannen. They have right to hold her accountable. Nobody is out to "get" Shannen, people want honest, truthful, upfront answers. I've said it many times on here, but if Shannen had nothing to hide - if she felt no guilt or remorse about what she's done, she would post receipts. She would rub it in everyone's face, our faces! She would prove to us all that she has a clear conscience. I know I would!

But she won't....because she can't!

Isn’t it truly invreible the kindness and support on here? . The beautiful lady has it booked since last year but her fiancé can’t go due to work so she has offered me the whole trip. We were talking on the phone just now and she is truly beautiful. And we get on like a house on fire already so we will have a blast in Glasgow!!!

2 things that struck me the last few days about this saga is
A) why would anyone donate money when the target of 10,000 was reached .
B) why was this missey one sending Shannen messages on fake accounts for a no. Of years ??

This ‘Missy One’ as you called me firstly didn’t become aware of Shannen until last year so your ‘number of years’ reference is wrong.
Secondly Shannen repeatedly blocked me so I sent messages from other accounts.
Thirdly have a read back through the numerous threads here relating to Shannen and this ‘Missy One’ wouldn’t have to give you the courtesy of a reply.
