MENSA actually wrote to me when my GCSE results came in. They asked me to personally design the next test for them. They had never seen a bigger genius. They even considered disbanding because they knew that deep down, my academic prowess could never be matched.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to respond because I lost every writing implement I had ever owned in a freak showjumping/microwave accident WHICH I WILL NOT BE DISCUSSING FURTHER.

My spider senses have been tingling since the first time i became aware of RSM. I honestly think there is every chance that this entire situation doesn’t exist and it’s just one massive grift. These people are talented at it and it feels like almost second nature to them; there’s just something off about the rate of utter shite that seems to flow out and the oddly specific but non revealing info offered. I may be a cynic but it just reeeks to me. Not sure wether it’s simple attention seeking, an effort to seek financial gain or a combo but i would put my life on it that most of what we are seeing is fabricated. Even the big billy bollocks teacher school enemy hero bullshit i just don’t buy it at all. argh! Anyone else having these feelings?

For what it is worth, and In Jack parlance, you are being disingenuous - in mine, a lying twat.

Poors can have nice things. I would underline and bold this if I could. We have said this a hundred times over countless Jack threads and many times just here.

Pretend poors who waste money and then beg off strangers that may well be, through their association with your account, in a similar boat or worse off is abhorrent. If you work a “proper” job, have an Internet based income stream, claim UC & PIP and LHA, get child support of loving papas (which didn’t used to count as income when mine were tiny but not sure if it’s changed since) and still can’t manage unless strangers are begged off, you are doing something very wrong. Or you are scum. And this goes for all of you - you horror show of scamming scummers.

Anyway - being as you are both such avid readers - as is becoming apparent every day....answer us this. What do you think about your Queen of the POVs taking money from the Conservatives wankers, under the pretext of “campaigning” - said campaigning being counter-productive, completely ineffective and pointless, living in luxury with her rich girlfriend, being a part time parent at best, but pretending she isn’t, faking being poor, whilst feasting on Ocado/Waitrose food, has more money than both of you combined and doubled.....and yet, not paying her taxes?

I’ve lurked on this thread but never commented but omg. That poor kid. If RSM understands that her child has an eating disorder, and is as intelligent as she likes to portray, she would know that “raiding the chocolates“ is part of her child’s illness.

Not to me-rail but I developed bulimia when I was 12. My heart is breaking for that kid, not just from that post but other things RSM has said.
My parents either didn’t notice, or chose to ignore that I was unwell, but fucking hell, if I’d had a parent punishing me every time my illness got the better of me, I‘d have been a hundred times worse, and a nervous wreck.
I actually can’t get over this. She claims she knows her child has this illness, it’s SO cruel to even discuss it like this, but, to trigger her own child?? I just wish I was religious so I could pray for that kid.

I honestly don’t understand what she thinks the point of this book is. And why’s she offering a package whereby you can send a copy to your MP? If it’s just going to be a load of people doing versions of Jack’s “Potatoes” and desperately trying to out-pov each other, what exactly is that supposed to achieve?

It’s poverty porn for people on Twitter who have never experienced actual poverty (and also possibly written by people who have never experienced actual poverty). Think of it as a creative writing exercise. It won’t achieve anything except give people like Owen Jones and Ash Sarkar something to reference i.e ‘the most important book you’ll read this century’ etc. etc. Anyone who is in real poverty doesn’t need a book like this, they need real solutions (and I don’t mean just in the form of benefits). Any MP who is interested in helping ‘poor’ people will already know about the stuff she’s writing about and the MP’s who don’t care won’t read it. It will achieve nothing except to give RSM a big fat bank balance.

fwiw, I don't begrudge the benefits they're on, i don't really care what it's spent on. but i do know that when i have had no money in the past, i literally meant *no* money, so no pretty pens or mcdonalds for me! it's just all so very disingenuous and these rants work to garner sympathy and top up the tip jars
