I'm not sure your reading comprehension is great. What they are saying is that trans people are an incredibly safe demographic, and are more likely to murder, than to be murdered.

In the first sentence, which was about how many trans people have been murdered, there was no comment on why they were murdered, so I'm not sure how you can claim it is because of them 'being who they are' .

Brilliant use of hyperbole though. Much like Jameela.

Puberty blockers were used to treat precocious puberty, so puberty in girls under eight years old, the incidence rate for precocious puberty is one in 10,000. So if JJ knew loads of girls in her school on them she must have had half a million girls in her class. Why have we not heard about her overcrowded school until now? Lunch time must have been a pain with millions of kids all lining up for the dinner ladies. Fun fact JJ maybe try talking to the girls that were on puberty blockers that are now suing for the harm they suffered. The girls with actual precocious puberty, not the girls who didn't like pink or dolls so society told them they were boys and in the "wrong" body . JJ needs to get her pan-binary head out of her cis- het self identified flora and fauna arsehole.

I'm loathe to post this because there's no way of knowing someone's private medical details, but her claim to have had cervical cancer twice seems really, really unlikely. I've got cervical cancer and know a depressing amount about it, and have had the big talk from my consultant about what treatment options will look like if it comes back after the current treatment. And if you've had cervical cancer twice in three years, that's recurrent cancer, which is a big frigging deal. Having it once is, as she has said, sadly too common - about 3000 cases a year in the UK. (Actually not that common - many more cases are caught through cervical screening at the pre-cancerous stage). And if it's caught early, and especially if you're young, it's possible to have it treated with just a bit of surgery. But if it comes back after a few years, as she claims hers has, it's a whole different thing. Given the amount of detail she's given about medical things in the past, I have my doubts that she's undergone a hysterectomy, radiotherapy or chemotherapy and not mentioned anything about it. It's a life changing diagnosis. Of course it's possible, and it feels horrid to suggest someone is lying without any proof. But there's SO much that she's exaggerated about, and recurrent cervical cancer is fairly rare and very serious. The prospect of her (or anyone!) lying about having cancer for attention just makes me so, so furious. My assumption, based on her well-documented history of bullshitting and exaggeration, is that she's maybe had CIN and had cells removed, and she's spinning that as 'having cancer' (they are very much not the same thing). Total speculation, I know, but knowing as much as I do about recurrent cervical cancer, it just doesn't add up.

I just wish that she's admit to being a bit of a bullshitter. Everyone embellishes stories when re-telling them, but hers just seem to have got out of control and she absolutely refuses to admit it (e.g. the bees thing).

Jameela talks about trans related issues though. I find people’s views on trying to defend women’s rights genuinely sad. Everybody should live in safety and women’s sex based rights are integral to that.

Jameela goes on about trans rights like her life depends upon it so it’s obviously going to come up on this thread and it’s not all going to be in agreement with her. I don’t randomly bring up trans issues on this thread, Jameela was prattling on on her insta stories the other day about the fact it’s not social contagion that more people are identifying as trans and that’s a ridiculous notion, it’s that they feel more comfortable doing so because of increased exposure in the media. I think that’s a load of shite so I said that on here. We can agree to disagree, I don’t actually care.

I think JJ is an idiot for not seeing the extremely high increase of numbers of young women identifying as trans men and non binary as a contagion, especially at a time in history where young women and girls are bombarded with false filtered images on social media of what they think women should look like. And the constant reports of women being murdered. Misogyny is at an all time high. I don’t blame teenage girls for wanting out of womanhood. The point is these are issues worth exploring. But instead JJ just says no, they say they’re trans then they are trans. It’s not helpful to the young women who follow her.

We’ll have to agree to disagree about this subject. I’m reading books, listening to podcasts about it and I have eyes and ears and I see what’s going on. Thanks for your unhelpful comment though.

Also, I actually agree with Jameela on a few subjects and I do find her funny and (reluctantly) I think she did well on the good place esp considering she had not acted before. But I don’t agree with her stance on trans issues and the way she gets involved and thinks she’s an authority on every subject on earth. She’s got some talents I’ll give her that but she is not an authority on the things she prattles on about.

People like that give the trans community such a bad name. I've got an acquaintance who is trans (female to male) and he gets misgendered allllllll the time as he still has very feminine features. You know how he responds? Tells them not to worry at all because they weren't to know. He doesn't get offended at all because he understands there was no bad intent on their part. Exactly this. Cancer twice vs pre-cancerous cells vs benign breast lump that required a simple op vs most of her breast removed/? Must be EDS. Tooth stuck in with eyelash glue for 12 years? Must be EDS. Saying she's broken her elbow when she's on camera pushing a wheelbarrow right after? Must be EDS. Almost fully deaf until age 12 while managing at the same time to be a competitive swimmer for six hours a day, both of which I personally know not to be true? EDS I guess. Allergies she previously said were caused by mercury poisioning and that 'went away' after she 'healed her gut'. She's now attributing those to EDS too. Invoking suicide every chance she gets despite being part of the reason other people actually did it? It's EDS, don't you know!

And we're also supposed to lap up this absolute bullshit because she can demonstrate a bit of hypermobility and that somehow makes her the saviour of people who are genuinely suffering, rather than recognise the reality that she's a pernicious opportunist and exploiter of the most vulnerable and the most desperate, all just to stay in the public consciousness. Absolute lowest of the low.
