I am reposting this for no other reason than I just want to.

It's "think 25" though. I was last IDed when I was 36 and they do not hand over the goods until you supply id #humblebrag
I've not been ID'd in years 😢 and I look younger than Jack even though I'm older. Maybe I'd better hand my passport to the cashier and cry smol tears.

Tonight I am learning I should read some Stephen King. Any recommendations to start?
IT was the first one I ever read, aged about 14, and still one of my favourites. Other favourites are The Dark Half, The Green Mile and Duma Key. But I really love his early short story collections. Night Shift, Different Seasons, Skeleton Crew and Four Past Midnight (really more novellas).

"Another suitcase in another hall" - wasn't that the phrase she used to announce the departure of OH? Really weird seeing it here used in the context of being overjoyed to move in to the crappy Bungalow together with LJC.
Isn't that from the Evita film?

She thinks she's Eva frigging Peron! 😂

ETA it is!!

@People-huv-tae-know great minds 😉🤣

That sounds like the start of a song.

ETA, it is a song! By Madge of the egg with a face fame.

That bookcase is my aneurysm. What philistine sorts their books by cover colour? Just helped my dear SiL shelve 20 of about 40 boxes of books into her new house today, we shelved them by author, subject, read, to read. Anything but colour!
Someone who doesn’t read books.

This boils my piss more than anything. My family are fans of vintage furniture and my mum is an absolute specialist - she's found the most AMAZING things for all our houses, which we've mixed with some modern pieces.

Tables and sideboards/dressers are the easiest thing to pick up second hand, and for a fraction of the price. And they look fab.
Ninnies, you need to know that my sideboard (made in 1917 according to the maker’s label on the back) came from the legend that is Les and Gary’s secondhand furniture shop on London Rd, SOUTHEND. It’s a beast, I’ve had it years, it’s going nowhere.

Christine, The Stand, Salems Lot, The Shining...
I liked The Shining way more as the book than the film, good though the film was. Needful Things was the first SK story I read and it got me curious - Christine was second, and I was hooked for a few years after that.
If you know his widely-publicised ❄ history, you can definitely tell which ones were written in the worst snowstorms.

I was ID'd a couple of weeks ago at a Sainsbury's in central London, trying to buy a couple of bottles of prosecco for my team at work. I'm in my mid 40s and my beard has so much white in it that it could impersonate a badger 🎅

Mind you, I have fewer wrinkles and smaller bags under my eyes than Jack so, er, go me...

Les and Gary’s was amazing. Furnished my first RENTED flat almost completely from there. So sad they were forced out into the much smaller unit down the road. And for no good reason because nothing’s bloody been done with the old place 😡

Please tell me that’s not a photo of Big Dave atop the tree? (Wtf is up with that tree? And everything else in the photo?)

And for “rescued” can we please substitute “stolen” because you don’t bloody go “rescuing” sledges from other people’s front gardens.
I think the pis is of her. She is an smol pixie after all.

"Time and time again I've said that I don't care
That I'm immune to gloom, that I'm hard through and through
But every time it matters all my words desert me
So anyone can hurt me, and they do" oh, the drama 😭

it was ludicrous that time though. I went to the mini market over the road from us, for the essentials (it was pre-lidl) of milk, fags and vodka. it was a new cashier. I chuckled when he asked for id "you for real, dude?". turned out he was deadly serious. must've been freshly trained in mystery shoppers.

luckily, I could go back home for my passport and back for my essentials in a couple of mins. I will never forget how his eyes widened and how he laughed when he saw my dob. funnily enough, until I was about 18, I always looked older than I was and, ever since, I'm apparently benjamin button

Sorry, I should really have put a trigger warning on all those ghastly traumatic processes. 😥
She’s so not a hippy though.

Nooo ☹. I’ve not been to Southend since my sister moved a couple of years ago, but she was there from the 80s, and I got into a bit of fun trouble the year I had a summer job there. (Btw, LA, reading your pub post I reckon the chances you know my niece and nephew-in-law🔺 are large to huge).
