Hope these images load up properly, thought this was important to raise, FashionFolkloreBlog posted these stories earlier about the 'sustaina-series', TALA have essentially ripped off her own work with this piece with no credit whatsoever, as well as being completely ironic which people here have mentioned as it goes against everything they currently do. These are just snippets, you can see the full post on her stories, it's also really annoying how TALA keep using the 'small business' card to get away with cutting so many corners and ripping people off when they clearly aren't anymore imo.

Grace and her brands are really starting to wind people up the wrong way who actually know their stuff in the industry (sustainable fashion, book writing, real start-up entrepreneurs) now and it's not gonna end well.

I'm giving the reading thing the major side eye here. I know very few adults who enjoy reading as a hobby anymore. Not saying it's not possible, one of my friends has a reading blog and is majorly into books. But I feel like it's an extension of hustle culture. Got to keep on educating yourself and reading highbrow things even in your spare time guys!!!!! Like...I'm sorry but no. I spent many many years at university getting 4 degrees, and I don't like reading for fun anymore. I like watching Love Island and other trash. I've served my time reading and I think we need to normalise not liking reading all the time especially if you've spent a long time at uni where you're literally trying to read things as quickly as possible to pick up the salient points - I do feel like doing this for so long has killed fiction for me, but instead of beating myself up about it, I'm just going to do things I actually enjoy doing now. Even more so if your job actually does involve reading anything remotely academic, you don't have to go home and do more reading if you don't want to. In conclusion: shut up Grace

I swear if I used Twitter/ Instagram (and could be bothered) I'd just post this everywhere, since it seems to cover any objection these morons could have, and it took me about half an hour to put together, so it's hardly "secret knowledge":

"Here's an article on Grace and her sisters giving their names- Alice, Flora, Grace and Violet- and those of their parents, Peter and Vicky: https://www.churchtimes.co.uk/articles/2010/12-november/gazette/salisbury-the-beverley-sisters . The picture also helpfully very obviously shows Grace, who hasn't changed very much (also Flora for anyone who watches her stuff). The births of the Beverley daughters are in U.K. records, with mother "Broackes". These are the only Beverley/ Broackes births that appear in records. Their ages match those given in the article above, at the time it was written. The only Beverley/ Broackes marriage is between Robert P. Beverley [Company records give Grace's dad as management consultant "Peter Robert Beverley", so he clearly just prefers going by his second name] and Victoria R. Broackes, in 1991. Company records (listing her as a "museum curator"- i.e., of the V. & A.- and "head of exhibitions", and born December 1961) give her full name as "Victoria Rowland Broackes", the "Rowland" coming from her father's mother, Nancy Rowland Tansley, an artist. There is only one Victoria Broackes (let alone with middle initial "R.") in U.K. records, she whose birth was registered first quarter 1962 (indicating registration subsequent to her birth in December 1961, as per the company records). Her mother is given as "Skidmore"; Joyce Edith née Skidmore (1925-1993) married firstly, in 1948, Kenneth James Warlow Horne (1911-1951; son of Sir William Kenneth Horne, a judge), and secondly, in 1956, Nigel Broackes, per U.K. records. Fortunately the combinations of distinctive surnames involved make tracing these people and establishing the facts beyond any reasonable doubt very simple indeed. If you don't choose to accept them, that's fine, go on believing she's a self-made boss bitch or whatever. The facts remain, based on official records and published biographical works, and anyone with any kind of ability to think will consider them, and perhaps even do their own research.

Basically, if you don't agree with the facts presented, the onus is on you to:
1) find another set of four Beverley daughters named Alice, Flora, Grace, and Violet, whose mother's surname was Broackes (established by the fact that Sir Nigel Broackes's daughter "Victoria Beverley" is listed as a source for his ODNB entry, and that Grace has several times liked and commented on social media posts about the activities of "Victoria Broackes", directly referring to her as her mother)
2) find another Victoria Broackes in U.K. records (let alone one who married a Peter Beverley)
3) find another Victoria Broackes who's a well-known, highly-paid curator, including for the V. & A.

To save you the trouble: you won't be able to."

Sadly these little saps aren't able to read more than three lines and take in the information.

Not a company that tells me to buy 12 new outfits a month with a CEO hellbent on having at least 5 long haul holidays a year shaming me for occasionally using gum or for not travelling 10+ miles away from my house using excessive unnecessary amounts of fuel to buy from specialty stores to reduce a small amount of plastic. Also why do they not have a single person at tala that can spell/grammar check, it’s embarrassing and so unprofessional.

View attachment 417442View attachment 417443I’m so glad someone else talking about her incoherent writing style!!
When your writing is that bad that "editing" means cutting out half of the words you've written 💀

Glad to see ubiquitously, interconnectivity, and infinitely got the cut. I can't believe she managed to use those three words in a single sentence. Also, never forget the time she retweeted this from Patricia - zero self awareness.

I know it’d be so much more authentic if she was actually finding and trying small business for herself. Could literally do a small business of the week on her stories or something

I saw (I think Natasha oceana) say in a video once that if companies want to work with her and send her stuff etc she’ll always go on and order something independently first so she can properly test shipping times/quality/ customer service etc to provide better reviews

grace could literally try a few local businesses and then do a real promo once a month or something for her favourite.

also She’s playing a saint about helping small businesses in one breath when she’ll be doing some #adgifted promo for Nando’s next week 🙄

I also don’t get what these companies think they’re getting. Every time people send her things for free all she does is take a pic of the freshly opened delivery and say thank you.Still no idea if this grubby is any good. She’s not provided any useful info. Just shown off them gifting millionaires- mental

She is SUCH a shitebag: "even if that is underlined by extreme privilege in a lot of areas", listen to the stories she never actually says this! She clearly decided in hindsight it might be nice to throw it in so we can't say she didn't address her privilege...
This is also a pretty poor (lacking nuance, if you will) understanding how privilege works from her. And she should know this considering her 'specialism' at uni was supposedly cultural appropriation. Privilege isn't something you can trade in or offset with other things, i.e. having difficulties with mental illness or having traumatic experiences in your life doesn't affect your class/wealth privilege, which is what this whole conversation is about. I don't think anyone was saying that her entire life has been hunky dory, of course we can't know that, but we're just stating the fact that it's nearly always people who come from rich backgrounds who get to write the books and get interviewed about how to start a business. And everyone is sick of it.

If anyone is interested in some nerdy stuff, check out this article, (or the full paper). Quite alarmingly, when privileged people are exposed to information about the existence of class privilege, this results in them emphasising their life hardships even more. This sounds pretty familiar:

"The results found that exposing class privilege threatened personal merit–the feeling of accomplishment with no outside assistance–which could explain why participants reported greater life hardships when they had low personal merit. On another note, when people were not allowed to cite life hardships, people who read about class privilege claimed they spent more effort on difficult tasks."

She's just put on her stories that she recommends "sizing up" for some of the tala clothes, baffles me why clothes brands do this??? Why don't they just size things properly so we don't have to do mental gymnastics every time we're ordering something online.

I rewatched the empty house tour video and this is how she responded to someone simply stating that she's had a privileged upbringing, like someone said all she says is "I'm lucky" and that's it, if anything she's so defensive and makes it sound like she was borderline homeless and that this house is such a huge turnaround lmao. If she comes out with this to established book critics who are curious about her background whew it's gonna be a disaster.

I watch another youtuber who's been going for way longer than Grace and has more subs, and she says the reason she is still renting and can't buy despite having enough for a big deposit is because lenders are reluctant to loan to youtuber's/influencers unless they're huge as they don't see it as secure. There's no way Grace managed to get a mortgage for over a million AND get a loan/managed to start two businesses with huge upfront costs within the same year (starting from a HQ in central London mind, not like Gymshark from their garage), with the revenue from some elastic bands. Either the trust fund cashed out or she had help from parents as to me it sounds impossible.

It looks bad on her that she was too busy crying for hours on her story about a fucking meme to notice it was holocaust remembrance day, and is now rapidly trying to make up for it and pretend like she gives a shit.

I’m 24, working a normal full-time job. When I started to kind of feel this way I just stopped getting on social media so much lol this is the least relatable pile of crap i have ever seen
I think she’s genuinely written a novel that could quite easily be replaced by “stop looking at your phone so much”.

The whole ‘I offer to pay’ is a straight up lie, what company is gonna say nah fuck that, it’s either adgifted or you’re not having it. You don’t have to be gifted something to promote it? If she gives a shit about promoting small businesses just buy it and promote it anyway

Scrounging parasite

Well lucky for her an average of 200-300 people a day are ‘keeping it moving’. At this point the front door is opening and closing so often it’s letting in a draft :ROFLMAO:

It really doesn’t sit well with me that she is using the Holocaust awareness day from yesterday seemingly as a way to detract from the Twitter storm 😕
