It’s really not even about football and who you support when it comes to things like this, it’s just common sense. At the end of the day 97 people went to a football game and never came home, if someone thinks that’s something worth joking about then it says more about them and I truly hope they never experience a similar loss. Yeah that was a hard watch, it absolutely broke my heart every single minute of it I saw a lot of people change their opinion (which shouldn’t have been necessary in the first place) after the show aired and they realised why we are so angry about it even 33 years on.even if all your fans there tonight had booed it still wouldn’t be right to boo 97 victims and their families who would’ve had nothing to do with that anyway! I’m very much not a Liverpool fan (as you might have guessed ) but even just talking about Hillsborough gets me choked up, I tried to watch the tv drama they did earlier this year about it, cried all the way through the first episode and couldn’t watch the rest so I just don’t see how anyone can laugh about it, it’s not even about one upping your rivals it’s about a tragedy that could easily have been prevented and the disgusting aftermath that occurred! I won’t support your club any other time but I’ll always support justice for the 97 🤍
Liverpool fans don’t expect everyone to fall to their knees in tears every year, just a bit of respect which really is the bare minimum is all that’s asked.
