I always wonder.... The people who make comments throughout these threads like "Daniel would've stopped this" or "Daniel wouldnt have let this happen"... Do you actually know Daniel or what brings you to that conclusion? Wasn't he the one who encouraged her with the page in the first place? I'd say he knew somewhat of the potential income it could generate and was planning for his daughter's futures. In a few years the sales rep on Instagram industry will go bust, these kids will grow up and we won't know them, but all these sales reps will be laughing all the way to the bank with the sick thousands they are raking in for every ad!

Daniel apparently said a lot if things. Apparently he set up an interiors insta account. I don't think he intended it to be a blow by blow account of his house or his kids knicker drawer.
If Daniel hadn't been sick, Rachel wouldn't have attracted the morn porn she did. Followers wouldn't be in their thousands.
She exploited death and sadness as a means to gain financially. If that rocks her boat, grand.
She may have a healthy bank balance after insta dies away but her children will realise she exploited them at their most vulnerable time. The kids aren't in secondary yet, a much more cruel environment than the bubble of a primary school. Imagine boys in class laughing at knicker drawers or the size of the child's feet, or having a laugh at the mams boob job, nothing is private.
And the pattern is so apparent now, people are noticing.
2 years on, life has moved on. But Rachel seems to have an uncanny ability to start the tears and bring in the photos and sad songs...(crying into the phone, recording yourself, replaying it and posting isn't normal). Then immediately, there's a sales pitch. I have noticed lately that she's now sandwiching an ad on both sides of a cry session.
The woman may be doing it for security for her children, with an 8k boob lift thrown in, but her morals are crap.

Don’t come over to this thread often but don’t get people being sick to their stomach about collab, the orthodontist is a private business, he’s free to do collabs if that’s how he wants to market his business. Being outraged to see these influencers getting public money I can understand, like the HSE covid campaign with them but this isn’t a HSE clinic here she’s attending. I doubt this fella has a 10 year waiting list and is seeing the Gorry child in priority.

That’s not the issue here. It’s the fact that Rachel Gorry would absolutely have the means to pay for her eldest child’s braces, but instead chooses to take a freebie & plaster it all over her social media amongst her other #ads #collabs #gifted posts with photos of her child on the dentist’s chair.
It has rightly riled other parents who are working hard, raising their families and struggling to pay for braces for their children amongst other things like mortgages/bills etc. She has no boundaries, no shame, the hand is out for all she can get despite having the means to pay for what she needs for her children. And if by chance she doesn’t have the means? (Doubtful) Then she should get a job like the rest of us and pay for things the old-fashioned, hard-working way. It’s disgusting and infuriating.
I don’t envy her at all in case you think it’s jealousy talking. I would hate a life in the public eye and hate that life for my kids. My eldest girl got her braces off a few months ago. I worked my arse off for every single payment, and now, when she smiles at me, I feel so content & proud. I did that. It was worth the overtime to see that smile.

I find it hard to believe most people here would say no to €5k of orthodontic treatment their child needed if offered it for free, who knows I completely agree children are being exploited by these instahuns, there’s needs to be laws to protect children because these parents won’t do it. I personally absolutely never post my child to sm. But that’s a different thing to being outraged cos there’s people on waiting lists and Rachel’s child got her braces for free. If anything this collab takes this child off the HSE list, freeing up a space for someone else. At the end of the day it’s a private clinic, private business and they obviously think this collab will be worthwhile for them or they wouldn’t be doing it. How many here would have heard of that clinic if they took out an ad in a Sunday broadsheet instead?

Ok I’ll be clearer. IF I was Rachel Gorry, with means to pay for my own daughter’s braces, I would not take a freebie from an orthodontist if it meant splashing my 11 year old child all over my social media page for 246 thousand people to peer at.

I’m absolutely SICK to my stomach can’t believe I’m this annoyed over an instagrammer but my god . The free bleeding braces such a joke!! I myself have been on a waiting list since 2013 to get braces and orthodontic treatment for a bad underbite I still have since I was a child. I went through all of secondary school with bad teeth. And I still have them. Could never afford them and have had to just deal with having really bad teeth and self esteem issues for them. Seeing this has really really touched a nerve with me as this is something that upsets me to this day over my teeth maybe I’m getting way way to personal cos life isn’t fair I know this. But why should I have to wait nearly 10 years to still not be seen to this day over it. And have not had to means fo pay for meanwhile she gets it for freeshe sits on her arse on her phone getting paid to sit on her phone and make videos trying on clothes and making her kids take awkward videos while receiving such luxury’s and freebies all the time! So so unfair . When people like the likes of my own mam that could never afford them for me work their arse off and still not able to get it. Sorry for the huge rant but Jesus I’m literally going to call this classist. It might be abit of a stretch to some but the likes of these instagrammers getting freebies all day long does nothing but add to the wealth division. Kids nowadays are totally ruined. They never had more but for it to feel like less. Or that’s my opinion compared to my own upbringing. They know the price of everything and the value of nothing. As a soon to be mother of 2 this stresses me so much. How do you in-still good values in today’s children….. with all these ott parents around you. I feel in my attempt to do so I will be an unpopular mammy at times but needs must. It’s a small price to pay. More ‘Stuff’ if not what children need.

I’m a dental nurse and you’d be surprised how many parents (who can well afford to pay for braces) would rather wait on the HSE waiting list for years just so they are free. Like the HSE only do really bad cases so if they know their child is bad, they’ll wait because they know they can get it for free. Used to drive me crazy but in Ireland everyone is scamming systems and abusing everything. Not just bloggers!

So if a child qualifies for the HSE braces, and a parent chooses to wait for these then they are scamming the system because in your opinion they can afford them ??!!!

You can't scam the HSE. A child either qualifies or they don't. A professional HSE dentist makes this call.
My son got braces through the HSE. Could we have afforded them ? Probably. But it would mean giving up our yearly holiday which we bring our children on every year. Ya know, the holiday that we both work hard ( and pay taxes ) for every year.
He is now in college which we pay over 3 grand a year for. But I'm a scammer because I choose to wait for the HSE braces, after myself and my husband have paid taxes into this country for over 20 years??

I have seen it all today from Erin McGregor, the big announcement this morning.

She is selling bed mattress and using her son Harry who has special needs, as why she wants to work with them.

I don’t doubt she can be up all night with him at times, but staying she is working with this brand, coz it gives her a good nights sleep after being up with Harry, is so low.

Other people on here, have normal kids & they still have to keep going each morning, after a bad night & get the other kids out to School.

Erin has plenty of help & has a cleaner coming in, so she is not stressed with the state of the house, some one is doing the house work for her, she can go back to bed

Just for future reference maybe use a term such as neurotypical children or children without additional needs . Not “normal” kids as all kids are normal ; even with extra needs
