I haven't followed him in ages, but find it odd how his whole 'scandal' with that young boy was seemingly forgotten about and swept under the rug? Why didn't he face any repercussions re: his job? or the public's view of him?

I’m surprised they got rid of Ruth but I guess her and Eamon are a package. I’ve not see Alison and Dermot as presenters on the show, are they good?
Nah they're crap! I cannot believe how gutted I feel that Eamonn and Ruth have been dropped/sacked for them. ITV what are you thinking??

Ive been saying for months that the covid pandemic saved the smug little creep! He is probably the only person on the planet that welcomed it!! 😠😠😠 I cannot put into words how angry I am that he is still on our screens nearly every single day and decent, respectable people like Eamonn and Ruth have now been told to go!!! He definitely has a hold over them at the top, otherwise his scrawny little arse would have been kicked out the door long ago....because to be honest, he ain't that special!! I hope someone somewhere talks soon and we can finally get rid of the lying, false, creepy little saddo for ever!

Can’t believe the way people are reacting to this, saying he could be giving career advice/it could be innocent. He’s a creepy old man messaging a teenagers on Snapchat. Why do you want to defend him so badly?

A few years ago I found out a friend of my sisters had been messaging him on Snapchat. He was a young gay fella, had just turned 17 and looked about 14. It seemed like it had maybe going on for a while. He was very vulnerable and got drunk at a party and was crying over it, showed people the a few messages. I never found out the full story but after reading about Matthew and other people talking about his late night Snapchatting I realised that this was probably a regular occurrence.

He can rot in hell.

The only way to change his stronghold is to stop watching.
Having it on in the background still counts towards ratings.
So - if you want him out, vote with your tv remote.
Loads of radio stations if you dont like what's on telly.
Although commercial uk stations do sometimes play his Ads but if you have an internet radio you can tune in to all sorts of different stations from all over the world.

If someone somewhere in tv land were to employ Eamonn and Ruth and give them a show and put it up against This Morning it would be very interesting to see if they could pull in more viewers.

It seems that millions watch This Morning out of habit and still watch even if they dont like the presenters.
I agree, I stopped watching back in feb or whenever he made his announcement, not because I'm homophobic, I'm very close to my gay brother, the straight one is a crank🤣. I am a wife, mother for over 20 years, if my husband blew our marriage to bits on national tv by coming out the way he did, I don't know what I would do. I feel very much for his wife and his whole act disgusts me.
I like Eamonn and Ruth, I feel awful for them, Schofield must be very intimidated by them. I cannot for the life of me understand the decision to let them go.

No they are rubbish! Alison stumbles on her words or is loud AF. Dermot looks like he’s there for a wage 😂

I'm genuinely shocked at this and I'm not even a regular TM viewer. I think Ruth and Eamonn are great, very natural and amusing, and furthermore you never read anything negative about them. Compare that to Holly and Phil, who get persistent criticism for being unprofessional and rammed down our faces.

Is Schofield the only person ITV can employ? He's been on TM for 18 years now, then has The Cube, Five Gold Rings and that How To Spend It Well shite, and also the We Buy Any Car brand deal. Utterly ridiculous.

I'm still shocked they have gotten rid of probably one of the most lovable pair of TV presenters for no real reason except to seemingly tick a diversity box. I'm bisexual and love the call for more LGBT/minority representation but not when it is "just because". Its really sad because it's making it look like most LGBT folk are lunatics set on erasing anyone who is straight or otherwise not "different".

One reason given is that the programme's editor wanted to include a permanent black presenter.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowb...sford-Eamonn-Holmes-DROPPED-Morning-slot.html
That is absolutely fine but there are 5 days in the week, Eamonn and Ruth are journalists. They bring a bit of decorum to the programme unlike his majesty of the closet and his dumbass sidekick who snigger and guffaw their way through....
Why not give Alison and Dermot the Wednesday show? I believe Schofield wanted them out....I see now and again Matthew McGreevy comments on Ruth and Eamonns insta posts and I did see Eamonn replied to him once saying it was good to hear from him.
They know the truth, McGreevy was banished from TM , Eamonn and Ruth probably felt it was awful they way he was treated because they are decent folk. I remember reading Martin Frizell is leaving too so perhaps he isn't keen on losing Ruth and Eamonn. I hope they have a case for unfair dismissal , maybe not on temporary contracts.
Whatever happens, I believe This Morning is on a self destructive course.

Who, over the age of 20 uses snap chat.
It's just weird and stinks that a man in his 50s would a. Be using it and b. To chat to boys who are 17 years old.

Grim.

You know about his flat in southwick!! I knew about that place 10 years ago!! There was a discussion about the going’s on there as one person’s friend had a flat over looking it!! Just let’s say the weekends were very busy!! Another person said when the injunction runs out in 2021 March “the shit is really going to hit the fan” maybe that’s why he is on telly a lot flogging stuff!! He needs to build up his money!!

Don’t usually comment on him but did anyone see him on TM today making fun of the viewer on the phone who was breathing loudly? How must that woman have felt with him taking the piss like that, she obviously couldn’t help it. And she wasn’t exactly joking about it herself so he was just laughing at her expense. Really nasty and shitty of him.

So it wanst Eamonn and Ruth's choice, then.

If This Morning wanted diversity they could have given Alison and Dermot a different day, kept Eamonn and Ruth and reduced holly and Phillip to 3 a week.

So the reason for letting Eamonn and Ruth go has to be for a different reason.

And I would guess Phillip wanted them out.

Nice reference to Philochio in ep 3 of Russell T Davies’ new Ch4 drama “It’s A Sin” ... the 1980s characters reckoning Philip Schofield is gay 😂 well played Russell

Sadly as a gay man it happens all the time on the scene and happened to me.

I was in a civil partnership for 6 years and with partner for over 11 in total. My ex hit 40, along came the young lad aged 20) and I was dumped quicker than is normal. Within 3 weeks they were living together, engaged before I could divorce his sorry arse.

However, karma hit. My ex ran a pub with me. My money stream Disappeared, he and the lad lost the pub pretty quickly under a pile of debt. By all accounts they cling to each other now- both miserable as sin, poor and pretending. And the lad now looks sad, miserable and stuck with a fatter, grey version of my ex.

It massages the ego. But never lasts nor ends happily.

I've posted before on this thread. I have a friend with inside knowledge (works in itv)
Open secret Phil is partial to very young blokes...too young.
He's employed the PR team of cliff Richard. Says it all.
Makes you wonder how Itv can (rightly) say Noel Clarkes behaviour was out of order and "Everybody deserves to work in a supportive and safe environment" yet then on the other hand the runner was disposable it seems ....
