And if I need to open a tin of kidney beans in chilli sauce and add spices, I might as well make the entire thing, whether from meat or, just as frequently, red lentils - plus a handful of oats and gravy granules (so potato starch) to improve the texture.
Most places have stopped doing the Stagg tins of veggie chilli as well.

My latest contribution to the vegan wing of the cabal is Oomph. Sadly it’s only available in my local hippy supermarket but all the versions I’ve tried are delicious. That’s the problem with celebrity. You can look awful and folk line up to tell you how gorgeous you look.
I remember an ex and I split after a year and a half together. It took me a long time to get over it. You can’t hide it when you feel so miserable and as much as I don’t care for her those photos are sad and anyone telling her she looks great needs to give their head a wobble.

I sincerely hope that the police identify and track down this despicable individual. As someone with two young daughters, I find this utterly heartbreaking. If you have any influence or contacts, please do anything possible to alert the police about this monster.

Spitting at anyone in the current climate should be some sort of attempted manslaughter charge - I'm not sure what law it is specifically but the one they introduced after that man knowingly (and maliciously) put sexual partners at risk of HIV? Then again they haven't done anything to the head that spat at Belly Mujinga & she ended up dying of covid

It's utterly sickening, isn't it? I couldn't believe it when I saw it last night. But these types have been around for a long time, spoiling for a fight with anyone who gets in their way. Walking home from an engagement party a good friend of mine was attacked with no warning, much like this. I was there, a guy stumbled out of a taxi and just went for him. I dont understand it, I dont understand what's gone wrong in their brain to make them do this sort of thing.
I actually use it sparingly to bulk out ordinary bolognese for that certain je ne sais quoi you lose on converting the meat version to veggie. Plus extra protein, and mystery flavour

One of the scariest things I’ve ever seen! Kill List is also one of my top horror films ever.
A very different type of horror but I’d also recommend Creep 2014 with Mark Duplass who I think is currently One of the best actors out there) and Creep 2 - one of the only instances where I’d say the sequel is even better than the first film

I have seen a few things in life, thankfully not too many, but that footage generates feelings of real anger and real sadness. I find it very hard to process.

I'm so sorry for your friend that's horrific, I imagine every single BAME person in this country has a similar story sadly.
Tbh I think when you've been socialised as a white person in a white supremacy you act a certain way with impunity (5 arrests for all that carry on!). You've got no interest in educating yourself / unlearning your prejudices / rescinding your privilege, you're happy to keep on with the status quo cos you & ur mediocrity benefit from it. For every ALM bloke out there off his nut on coke & beer looking for a fight, there's a family at home sat online doing all lives matter / I don't see colour bollocks on Facebook/Twitter/Tattle which ultimately enables that sort of behaviour... words very much matter and it's why those of us who are white should keep calling it out xx
