because las vegas is a city for nightlife
they need it to be dark to show all the lights on the strip
also its on mountain time so about 2 hours later than a usual US race
basically its Australia/Japan

Because they’re not trying to cater to Europe for this race… Imagine being in Asia and having all the Americas races at odd hours — yet I still watch every damn session.
also i think this is part of the "experience package". you cant just buy a ticket to the event you have to buy a package with hotel all inclusive

To be fair, for majority of the Europe it's at 7 AM, so it's not really nighttime. It's basically the same time as Japanese or Australian GP for Europe.

but I think the main issue of why Vegas failed was they planned it on the heels of 2021 with all of that chaos
2022 was painful enough with the new car developments but 2023 has just been total tit minus a few fernando and mclaren highlights
I mean i didnt think i'd welcome more sprints, but the new format at least gave me a reason to tune in on friday

It will never be seen as a Legitimate Sport in America. Which is why they have to make it a spectacle. The Austin race at least was done the right way and will always be here. They got that location right with ethe market price tag and venue. The Miami and Vegas races just aren't serious
Yeah Austin works, as did Indianapolis when they used to hold it there. COTA is a proper track for a start off and it strikes the right balance between it being an influencer fest and also a legitimate race. Vegas has nothing to do with racing. I’ve just seen a video of a test car trying out the track maybe like last year (it was an old spec car so had way more downforce than the current ones) and just sliding into the barriers. It’s going to be embarrassing tbh
Lorenzo posted photos with Charles at Yankees Stadium. Is Charles seriously everywhere this week while Carlos completely vanished? Or someone realized they have to do their promos in rounds and next time it'll be Carlos only everywhere because when they push both at once it's sus?

Charles is a bit of a non-entity to me, he's good looking - fair enough - but there's not too much that interests me about him and I'm not a Ferrari fan so fine, but Jesus, his media coverage this week is more annoying than Danny Ric's fake perma-grin. Make it stop!

Yeah, I am leaning towards the theory that it was decided (I guess by ferrari) that one week is for Charles and one for Carlos, Carlos' one starting tomorrow and then Netflix golf etc. (Charles is more popular so if they were appearing at the same time the spotlight would still be more on Charles). But I am quite surprised Carlos is hidden now,especially after he mentioned holidays (or he is trying to prove he is in a "private" couple after people made fun of staged photos
Ps the other theory is that Carlos knowing Charles will have more US promo activities (from ferrari or this agency he signed with) mentioned holiday as an excuse in advance so people would not wonder why he is less visible than Sharl.
Or there is no conspiracy behind this, Sharl is doing his thing and Carlos is just having a break before this week...
