How do we transition from no pants to undies with potty training? My little boy is doing fab on the potty for wees and poos but only when he has no pants on. We tried undies today and he weed in them. We’ve explained you don’t wee with pants on, but do we need to give it a bit longer?
I’m looking for exactly the same advice, started potty training on Monday there with my daughter, done naked bottom half the last 2 days and she has done all pees & 💩 on the potty without prompting, so she knows when she needs and can do it but now I’m stuck on how to introduce clothes.. have bought her character pants and tried earlier with them on but she just ran to potty and tried to pee with them on. Have told her to tell me when she needs and I can help her get them off, have also took her to the loo with me and showed her me taking my pants down..
any advice?
Don’t want her to be potty trained only when naked lol

So she’s just taken herself to the normal toilet, but her seat on and shouted mummy I’m doing it big girl no potty 😂aren’t kids bizarre??? 😂 thanks for your advice hopefully today is better x

God no! We’ve a hive and have it set to minimum of 16° from 9am-6pm, 17° from 6pm-8pm, 16° 8pm-6am and 17° again 6-9am. We’ve averaged 4hrs a day over the last cold week but it’s usually more like 2-3hrs. Last week our energy was £11 a day which isn’t great!

Last year was a horror show for illness in our house, it felt like between September and May there were only about 2 weeks where someone wasn't ill, I think it was a beautiful combination of first year of nursery plus the added bonus of being post lockdowns so all of our immune systems were rubbish.
I know it's only December but this year has been so much better so keep the faith, hopefully next year won't be as bad for you guys!
Mine has been in Nursery since April last year and he’s constantly Unwell 😔😂. We’re used to it now !!

No lights as doesn’t help, i have the humidifier on for white noise which helps but turn it off after a few hours as it sometimes wakes her up if it’s on all night. She was asleep last night for 7.20pm and she was up even earlier 😫 we read as many books from 6:45pm till bedtime so I limit screen time too.

she usually sleeps 7:40pm-7am but not sure what’s going on atm..! I’m just exhausted and not a clue what’s happened to her sleep😂
Might just be she’s a bit put off her routine from what’s happened this week?

Have you not got a grotto in a garden centre or something? We went to a light thing when I was pregnant, so Xmas 2021, and I took my then 5yo and 2yo and they weren’t fussed, but we all love a grotto
so this year gone we did Chester Zoo lanters which was amazing, we did it in 2021 too and she loved it. We do Dunham Massey also which she’s hated, won’t be doing it again. I take her to the grotto in my local town as I refuse to pay £15 to queue up and then have to pay for a photo on top. We go to garden centres near us which are usually really festive. Lapland is going to cost probably £130-40 for us both then I’ve booked a hotel but that’s a really big treat for Xmas and it’s meant to just be so magical. I’d love to go to “proper” Lapland but that’s for when she’s older defo

Currently in hospital with a very poorly mini Pillows after her chickenpox got infected.
This is the worst I've ever seen her, and the first time we've actually been admitted to childrens ward. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy right now 😭
She had a temp of 41.5 which is why we came in. She's having IV antibiotics and paracetamol.

Just wanted to whinge basically about how unfair this all feels and how I really don't feel Christmassy right now 😔
So sorry she’s going through that. I have been thinking of you. The scarlet fever she had has probably lowered her immune system. She’s in the best place so hopefully will see her better soon ❤

Please rest assured that she also questions herself. Every parent does. Maybe she doesn't talk about it, she might even feel like she can't, who knows.
But if I've learned one thing, being a mom, every parent worries, every parent cares.
Maybe yeah. You just don’t know What someone else is thinking. I never worried so much until I became a parent

Hey guys, new to this thread 🫶 My daughter is 21 months old. She hates her travel system and always has done since she can walk! I’m in two minds about buying a stroller. We’re going on a few day trips soon and we need to have some kind of pram, but I’m just worried of buying one and her hating it! I think she doesn’t like the travel system because it doesn’t incline fully to sit her up. So I’m thinking of getting a stroller that fully inclines which she might prefer. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Would you recommend me buying one or leaving it? 🤯

I would risk the zoo. You can’t not go anywhere incase she does an accident. Just take her home if she does? Can you explain that If she does do it in her knickers you’ll have to go home?

Mini Pillows now has chickenpox 😭
sorry everyone seems to be having a shitty time!!

I highly recommend head and shoulders but the mint type one, I used it in a bath with mini A and it just worked wonders, it dried out all the spots and soothed them x

Aw bless i hope yours is ok too! Mine is always sick as well when he’s got a cough. i half expected it to be last night through the night when he’d be sick not this morning. He’s just so quiet, he’s lying on the couch staring into space, his tablet is next to him and he’s not even bothering with it! Usually he’d be playing bloody Morphle non stop 😂
Bless him Maybe he’s tired. Mines ok now we’ve come home. I tried putting a jumper on him at my mums and he kicked offff bad. He’s smiling and happy now 🙃

I know each child is different, but here is what I did when potty training mine.
I waited for it to be a weekend/holiday, with no plans to go out anywhere.
I set an alarm on my phone for every 10 mins. Every 10 mins when the alarm went off I sat her on the toilet for 5 mins. After a few accidents on day 1 & day 2, she got used to it and started peeing and pooping on the toilet. Yes, it is exhausting and can be frustrating, but by day 3 she was fully potty training and on day 5 I didn’t even put a nappy on her in bed.
We tried putting him on the potty but he just got so upset about it! I will see how he goes with the toilet tomorrow. 🤞🏻

Mine does go to sleep between around 7/710 and he’s always up between 6 and 630. Did she go to bed at 730 you say? Then 6am is probs about right
I can’t see why she would be tired from a sleep like that?😳 what kind of things do you do during the day
Yeah she’s been sleeping 7:40pm to 7am for months. She’s at nursery Monday & Tuesday full days, Wednesday morning we have swimming then Wednesday PM just chill out in the house or maybe go to my Dads for an hour, Thursdays we have a toddler class in the morning and maybe park or a walk in the afternoon if the weather is ok. Fridays she’s with my dad so she has her horse riding lesson and plays up at their farm!

Saturday she’s usually out and about if she’s with me or her dad! We will go to the farm, eureka, role play, soft play, playground , just something fun!

Sundays are usually just a chill day all day. It’s always been like this, we rarely have a full day inside. She prefers to be out and about and so do I or else she just gets bored after a few hours 😌 I think it’s just one of those weeks!

With them ignoring it, it takes a week or so but you just have to be stubborn yourself every time they get out of bed, you just remind them the clock isn't yellow yet and take them back.
First couple of nights she'd cry on the way back to her room and then that was it 😊
Does it still work do you think if the child doesn't fall asleep independently? So at bedtime one of us (dad usually) stays with her until she falls asleep so that's what she expects in the night too.. So I think we'd end up taking her back to bed and staying there with her and then she'll just stay awake still ... I don't know, it's probably worth a try.
