Yup, and my husband normally gives up and goes to the spare bed. If my toddler had a bigger bed I think it would make things a lot easier as he would just sleep with him from there. I do wonder if it’s due to the baby that he wants to be in here too.

I don’t mind, except for when he wakes up when I’m feeding the baby. Gets right in the babies face and goes WHAT ARE YOU DOING 🤦🏻‍♀️
I was sleeping in my daughters double bed in her room a week up until I went into labour when she decided she wanted daddy to. But she has said she wants to come and sleep with me. She’s fine in her bed with her dad but so emotional in the day. He’s only a week old so hoping it will settle down and she’ll stay in there.

How do you keep it safe for both? Atm me and the baby sleep in the middle so I don’t worry about him falling out.

Currently in hospital with a very poorly mini Pillows after her chickenpox got infected.
This is the worst I've ever seen her, and the first time we've actually been admitted to childrens ward. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy right now 😭
She had a temp of 41.5 which is why we came in. She's having IV antibiotics and paracetamol.

Just wanted to whinge basically about how unfair this all feels and how I really don't feel Christmassy right now 😔
Ugh that’s really, really tough. You’re in the best place you can be, hope you’re getting fed toast & tea x

Yeah I don't.
Perhaps she has anxiety? I don't particularly leave the house often with my kids, unless there's another adult. I can do shops on my own solo but that's my limit.
I'd reach out, there could be an underlying issue.
She’s openly said she just cba 🤷🏼‍♀️ she’s one of these mums who says she can’t afford a day out for her kid then gets her nails, brows done every month but moans she’s no money to take her child on a day out.. 😵💫

Thank you, I might try this in future. She doesn’t like toast (never has really), she isn’t a huge fan of bread either tbh!😒 yoghurts are fussy too.. one week she will eat 50 of them and the next week won’t tough them. Drives me mad. How can one child be SO fussy
I get it, my daughter is the same. It’s taken her a while and it has to be that she is very hungry for her to eat toast. If I give it to her for lunch it’s a no 🤣 but she’s woken up a few times hungry and she gets no food so now she will eat it if she is hungry. I think I started off with a plain wrap, or a crumpet, not too toasted 🥴
I really do feel your pain and there is so many different approaches. I don’t think mine has massively helped with the picky eating, she often won’t have any dinner. But it stops me from going mad which is half of the battle.

Is anyone on here getting their kids the flu jabs!? My boyf heard on the radio hospitals are full of kids with flu etc. I didn’t have it last year but I don’t want him getting sick 😔😔

7 minutes it took my 3 year old to say sorry to me and get off the naughty step! She had a battle with me over getting her pjs on. I lost it… I’d had enough by this point 🙃🙃🙃🙃

Not sure what I’m doing wrong at the moment. Mini A keeps waking up at 5:30am and 6am. I’m exhausted, just had surgery on my arm and I’m in agony and looking after her on my own 😭 I’m exhausted!!!!!! Beyond belief 😭 bedtime last night was 7:20pm after a 6am wake up, up even earlier! I’m going to perhaps but her to sleep for 8pm tonight even though she’s likely to be overtired, what can I do 🤷🏼‍♀️😵💫
I have no advice because my youngest wakes up anywhere from 4.30 to 5.45 every morning.
Doesn't matter what time you put her to bed. If anything, the later I put her in bed, the earlier she wakes because she sleeps worse being over tired.
She goes to bed at 6pm now as that's worked out the best.

You’re like me!! It’s been like for a few hours she’s come in at 5am or I’ve gone into hers but if I go into hers I’ll always go back to my bed. Oh my word…. 4:30am!!🫣 you must be so tired. I’m very lucky mini A sleeps pretty much 7:40pm to 7am but I find she sleeps better in winter where the room is all cosy and warm lol
My 10yo and 4yo were and still are amazing sleepers. Both used to sleep straight through from 6pm to past 9am some mornings. I still have to wake them at 7 for school every morning.
This time around, 3rd child is making up for the both of them i think 😂
Was certainly a shock to the system 😂

Does anyone else have their heating on all night? Mines on from 5pm to 6am the next morning and my gas bill (inc standing charge) is £80! I try and keep it off during the day even when I’m in the house with mini A but it’s just been so cold at the moment 😫

Will he wear pull ups?
If not, maybe get a steps and seat for the big toilet? See if that encourages him?
My kids loved it!
He’s in pull ups at the moment. We’ve got a seat for the toilet but not really tried it yet. Will have a go with the toilet tomorrow and see if he’s more open to that, thanks!

Thank you all for the advice and so fast! I have been suggesting a Gro clock for a while, for some reason husband has been against it but he might relent now. However she is super stubborn and I can see her ignoring it 😂

She doesn't nap and hasn't for nearly two years, and shouldn't have been overtired aside from the fact that she's been doing this for a week or so but no idea what started it.

My friends daughter did this when she had a baby. Maybe she thinks she’s missing out on something as you’re up with the baby?
I did wonder this but baby is nearly 8 months old so maybe a delayed reaction?

Yes, but it's a nasal spray for kids, not a jab 😊
They're eligible from age 2 unless they have certain conditions and I would always make sure my little one had hers, flu is no joke, anything that can protect them is brilliant!
My friend said her friend took hers and she was really unwell from it 😔😔. Yeah sorry I meant the spray just easier to say jab haha

and nothing happens

Any advice on potty training at night? My wee boy has been potty trained through the day for about 9 months now, still in a pull-up through the night. I know you can’t train them to go through the night, it’s about waiting for your hormone that regulates it to develop so I’m not stressing. He’s been dry in the morning every day for the past fortnight, bar one. Do I just bite the bullet and take the pull-up away completely? I have a waterproof mattress protector already. Was thinking of lifting him from bed when I’m going to bed, keeping the lights off and sitting him on the toilet for a half-asleep pee lol, do other people do that?

Nanny Aimes on TikTok does one for morning / night , I’m sure you can find one on the internet and see how it works for you. My daughter works best on WHY we have to get dressed.

I am also V organised the night before. My bag for work, her nursery bag & my gym stuff is all in the car and I make sure I’ve got all mine and her clothes ready for the morning so the only thing I have to think about is literally getting her out the door, so if it takes 20 mins it’s fine. I don’t need to do anything else apart from get us ready, I’m usually up before her anyway so I have my brew /breakfast and get ready. (She has breakfast at nursery which helps)..the mornings I’m not organised I find myself so stressed out with rushing around, the hour and a half before work is choas & mini A can sense my stress 🤣🤣
Yeah it's so much worse on the days I've not been organised! But usually lunch is made, nursery bag is ready, I can't get clothes ready as she has such strong opinions that she rejects whatever I choose and I've tried to get her to choose the night before and she refuses 🙃
But we have to have breakfast (plus the weaning baby currently so that's extra mess and work), all get dressed and use the bathroom and out the door and it just always seems such hard work, we've tried swapping the order we do things etc but none of it makes much of a difference, she just wants to play at home for ideally about 3-4 hours before doing anything and obviously that's not possible 😂

stop it 🤣🤣 i woke up him lol cos i was worried he’d wake up at 10.30 or something and start raving. he jumped off the couch and went ‘cereal please, nursery soon’ and thought it was morning! then he called me naughty for waking him up and said he didn’t want my silly spaghetti 🙃🤣
At least he’s up thank god 🙈🙈. Think mine stopped naps around that age !
