Gosh, poor thing.

Her complete denial has not helped her in processing this. It’s like she’s newly diagnosed.

I very much hope she’s going to receive the counselling and support she needs as she prepares for this brutal surgery.

She looked terribly frail and haunted in today’s vlog. I feel desperately sorry for her. Imagine the stress of knowing you’ll be going under for an operation that will take 12 hours. That you will be eviscerated. The recovery is going to be incredibly tough. And that’s if everything goes well.

Does anyone else here struggle to feel proper sympathy for Tiffany because of what seems to be her wilful ignorance (not to mention Matt's)? I do feel sorry for her that her fate is vastly worse than she prayed for, but my god she has shown so little intelligence throughout the process. It's really frustrating to watch. I hope the cancer didn't spread even further in the meantime, still. I was wondering how only eight weeks back her scans were clear again and now there is...spread? A new tumour? The vagueness is confusing as a viewer, but Tiffany isn't the smartest, so there's a chance the doctors don't tell her the medical facts in case she cannot compute them. I know for real that being dumb can make for worse outcomes. I hope the next wait until the pelvic exenteration doesn't lead to the cancer going system-wide. It's very likely if in only eight weeks she went from clear scans/NED to spread.

SHE said she had just been in that bed since Friday. I don't have much hope for any meaningful weight gain before surgery. How do you eat with all of this weighing on you.

I might have to take a break after today's video. Boy it hit me hard..have a daughter about her age and have also faced some serious medical issues myself but nothing like this. Today is a reminder that health is everything and enjoy it while you have it.

It’s really scary. Can she make it through this 12 hour surgery?
that will be up to her surgeon to decide...if he thinks she cannot he won't do it.

For the reconstructive parts, will the plastic surgeon do this straight away or there will be follow up surgeries?

I hope her bladder is not affected would be able to keep it. It is sad because she waited for 2 months without therapy the cancer started growing in higher place in colon and now the operation would be more complex.

Her newest video is so upsetting to watch. Tiffany really should've been in mental health therapy months ago in preparation for this kind of news. Her enablers (particularly Matt) have directly allowed this to happen by going along with the delusions of a sick woman instead of helping her make peace with the truth. The talk about not wanting to put up the Christmas tree anymore also didn't shock me...when Tiffany said that she'd decorate for Christmas no matter if the news from the scans was bad or good I remember rolling my eyes because obviously in her head she was already cancer free. The rush to get ready for Christmas was clearly her subconscious warning her that Christmas would be off the table this year. The wait and watch time period really was destructive to her in every single way. I guess the only positive is that she got to have a 'break' from cancer but even that seems to have been worse for her mental health in the end rather than facing reality sooner.

I have felt incredibly frustrated at her denial and ‘away with the fairies’ approach, but am I struggling to feel sympathy? No.

She’s clearly not the brightest spark and perhaps has led a very sheltered life, surrounded by people who enable her immaturity.

But, blimey, if you can’t have sympathy for someone in her position…

the thing with the clear biopsy is that the pathologist can of course only examine the piece(s) of tissue the surgeon has cut out. biopsy is only one form of diagnosis. the others are (among others) the imaging techniques (PET, MRI, CT, X-Ray) and of course the evaluation of the symptoms. Both the imaging scans and her symptoms for which she has already been hospitalized and gets morphine together with her frail appearance (cachexia ?) show that she´s going downhill. In the "no biopsy" video she says she needs the proof from the biopsy, because it was the most important scan, as if everything else wouldn´t count. That´s denial.

she looks like every thought she’s having is torturing her..do people ever have complete breakdowns in Tiffany’s situation? as it’s like a ripcord has just been pulled on all her worst nightmares and there’s no escape..I feel truly sorry for her..
And imagine how much worse it'll be when she's in recovery and there's nowhere to go unlike now she's just not feeling up to being active even though she still has the physical ability. She's going to be stuck with nothing but her thoughts for weeks (months?) after surgery. She needs to start therapy NOW. She has done herself a major disservice by 'blocking it out' for so long

It was unprofessional, he shouldn't really said that.
It could indicate that he will treat her better than other patients? All patients deserves same level of care, she is not special.
I think most doctors say that to every patient - my dad was deathly ill last summer and every doctor promised they'd treat him like his own dad. Same for my nan on end of life care. It's just a saying

I believe it was her Aunt (Amma's sister) that died young from cancer. Would be interesting to know what type. I hope Amma can stay healthy and strong. Tiffany is going to need her and the sister. I don't think Matt will be of much help. This will be more than he can handle. I don't blame him..you meet a very beautiful woman and think life is going great and not that long thereafter this all plays out. I know her worst fear is Matt not being around after all this settles down and she is in the long recovery.

She isn't going to have this one?
I thought she will have tpe+ hipec too

I didn't know she don't jabe peritoneal mets, I watch her videos but Im skipping a lots, because I can't stand her being so childish.

Even without hipec tpe is massive surgery, don't see her being mentally ready for it?
She struggled with recovery from such a simple thing like biopsy.
The standard operation for rectal cancer including T3, T4 tumor called Total Mesorectal Excision. I think she is going to have it. I don't think she has peritoneal metastasis, so probably she would not need HIPEC.

Probably he meant that. Sure, all patients deserve the same level of care. Where I live doctor patient relationship is very formal and cold. It might be different in other countries.

Truly haunting video, watching her process the horrors of reality that she's facing was heartbreaking. She almost has me convinced that she will go through with the surgery...I still feel there's a small chance she won't, though she seems to talk herself into things and do them and she said she had to do it for others around her. She seems depressed, obviously, so therapy is something needed stat, that's the only way she's going to be in any shape physically and mentally to go through this. She probably didn't eat much if anything in bed all weekend.
And with Matt, who knows, he may surprise us all and propose to her at Christmas??

From what I've read about PE online I'm pretty sure it's just done straight away. Tiff also mentioned that a plastic surgeon is just one of the many specialists that needs to be there during the surgery, which also makes me think all reconstructive aspects are done during the 12 hour surgery.

I'm sad for her that the cancer appears to have thickened and may result in an more extensive surgery.

It's interesting that the only 'new' information in this video is, in addition to the organs previously stated, the colon may also need to be removed and Tiff is this upset. I saw someone's comment saying it's as if we're watching someone who has just been diagnosed and agree.

She mentions her periods stopping and not being able to carry a child and although not nice to deal with, she knew and prepared by going through the process to freezing her eggs.

Drs provided her all the information and watch and wait was ultimately her decision - whenever viewers reiterated this, she would block and delete and chose to trust god/the process, but now says she feels angry about being in the position she's in.

I hope she seeks therapy asap, the denial isn't benefiting her - maybe in the short term, thinking about the Christmas tree makes her happy, but long term she needs to process this.
