For the record, as much as I may go off on the vloggers and rant and rave, I don't "hate" anyone. When I met RixFlix in the parks, I was friendly to him. If I met SE in the parks, I'd be the same. I'm not an asshole. BUT that doesn't mean that I should have to kiss their asses 24x7.

Maybe for the folks that live here in Orlando like myself and @HereForTheT3a22, it's a bit of a different experience to watch all these vloggers because either a) the repetitiveness of content is so much more obvious to us since we are pretty much in the parks all the time ourselves (or driving by them as we go on about our lives) AND b) so often they either flat-out LIE (hello, Trackers) or misrepresent stuff that is happening locally, whether it be weather, traffic, or events simply to get comments and / or a certain response out of their stans.

There's been plenty of times where I, or others, have given props or made positive comments about Tim and Jenn regarding various things. From her breastfeeding to Tim's attentiveness toward caring for Jackson to her coming home from college to care for her mother while ill to Tim's awesome parents. I'm sure I could think of more.

I will, however, agree with you on the comment about "everything they do is criticized." There are many times where things are criticized that I don't feel are warranted (this happened a lot on the other site) - especially certain things about Disney facts or something like that because it'll be stated as if everyone would / should know something got swapped out two weeks ago for something else, or something changed, or everyone knows the ABC ride does XYZ when you LMNOP, or this new food item was introduced on a whim, etc. I get the impression sometimes the peeps saying that actually simply Googled it themselves seconds before and are trying to come off as some authority when they didn't know it either. 🤣 So yeah, I'll give you that.

I think my biggest point in all of this - and sorry for the rambling - is that I just don't feel ANY of these people should be put on some pedestal of untouchable greatness like the stans put them on. They're just a group of individuals who opted not to get (or keep) "real" jobs, decided they wanted a camera in their face all the time, started a YT channel, and some have been more successful than others. But it doesn't make them perfect or immune to criticism - especially when they become fake-like caricatures (i.e. chirpy, positive SE, as an example) and / or develop HUGE egos on top of it (i.e. the Trackers).
I truly think that being “local” to all of this is an excellent point. When we visited Gideon’s, all we wanted was a damn cookie and to have the reasonable expectation that 3 cameras wouldn’t be in our faces while in line. I understand public property and all that jazz but I don’t go to Publix (grocery store) and expect to be filmed.

Also like you mentioned the overly perky, breathless, gasping, giggling overall bullshit persona that Jackie puts on is just too much. Watch her recent Legoland video and you’ll see just what I’m talking about. If I was sitting next to her as an average joe I’d be THOROUGHLY aggravated

Yeah, I think that's a big part of it for us. Because either of us can hop in a car right now and go get lunch at Finnegan's and turn around and leave. That's not tooting horns; that's just a way of life for us because the parks are in our backyards and we're APs (and for you, you still have a TM in your family and I was a former CM).

When you live here like us, you are even more aware of the bullshit that so many of these vloggers try and pull over their viewers - especially with how they edit things or what they say. Just gets old after awhile and I honestly think many of these vloggers (if not all LOL) are well past their expiration dates and are just going through the motions now, churning out the same rinse-and-repeat content day after day.

I like Jackie and Nate, but I can see why people would be turned off by them both. Honestly no ones opinion on here has made me mad other than the one trying to take the last thread title out of context while having a “holier than thou” attitude. I think we are all like minded and can see where the others are coming from and it’s the idiocracy of the Trackers that bring us all together!

yep and let’s add to the fact that on camera these vloggers pretend to treat CMs and TMs like gold but that’s not what I hear from behind the scenes. I’m not pointing fingers and saying that SE or PMM are guilty of this but I’m sure they aren’t always rays of sunshine. That tit is most definitely an act

Yep. Great point.

The persona they put on camera is NOT, of course, always how they are in real life. Take for example the other day when I saw BLAB at Mardi Gras. Now, I'm not expecting them to be shitting rainbows all the time too, but how he (especially, in what I saw) turned himself "on" and "off" when he put the camera up in his face filming vs. when he took the camera down and was just walking was SUCH a stark difference.

Yeah. That was funny. And that was my contribution to our thread titles too!!! 🤣 😭 Obviously it was either a stan or someone who is not familiar enough with the Trackers to understand the context of that statement.

Between that and the Reddit thread I essentially got called a misogynist a couple of times recently and I’m not sure why lol people seeing what they want to see 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah, I've learned the ones who randomly toss out generalized labels to folks online are some of the very people who need to look in the mirror themselves.

I saw a pair of vloggers at Universal once, on the way out. My husband spotted them as they blew pst us on the moving walkway. He was walking fast and his girlfriend was trying to catch up and they both looked pissed. They broke up not too long after that, but the vlog from that day was like “omg happy epic dancing in the wizarding world Universal day!”
Alli Speed talked about this a lot. When her and Charles would fight one would grab the camera and they’d have to be happy and that’s how they handled arguments. So unhealthy.

And Publix doesn't allow video recording inside their stores. Why? They have nothing to gain from it and they don't want competitors having an easy way to analyze their store configuration. Private businesses can set whatever reasonable rules they want. Sadly paid vlogging will continue at theme parks because the positives outweigh the negatives.

That's what annoys me about Tim. The weird way that he tries to be entertaining. It's borderline insulting that he thinks his viewers have the mind of a toddler. At least Jenn is capable of communicating in full sentences, and without exaggerated facial expressions or movement. When something needs to be explained, for real, he always defaults to her. But, for the most part, even she acts stupid around him. I know that you all will say that she is stupid, but when she vlogs without him I see a completely different, more capable, person.
And, why do they have to pretend that they didn't already discuss their plans prior to arriving at their destination?

Shout out to the “locals” that give us the view from the other side of the coin.

I, too, have vlogger fatigue. And can understand the frustration of seeing so many channels cover the same material. It has been interesting to see which channels have pivoted their focus since COVID hit. Also, the ones where the curtain got lifted on just who they really are.

When it comes down to it we don’t know these people personally and are commenting on the products they post. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I appreciate that you respect our local take on it. The family and I were at Volcano Bay in August and there was a, I’m assuming wannabe, vlogger paying pretty close weird attention to my son and I in the kids area. I approached him and said “excuse me do you have a child here?” And he vaguely gestured toward a little girl. So I let it be for a few moments as he continued to bullshit in front of his camera as if he was showing off the details. Then I see the girls real family pick her up and I lost my tit. I grabbed two lifeguards and asked them to contact guest services and also notified the cabana attendant. Security came and escorted him out after some conversation which I assume led them to the conclusion that he was lying about “vlogging”.

Again I’m not saying all the vloggers are violating privacy BUT it’s pretty unfair as a human being to have this reasonable expectation of privacy when out and about whether it be your day off or a weeks long vacation and for that to be taken from you because some asshole with a camera wants to be YouTube famous YOUU GUYYYYSSS

I'm also an Orlando local and I've somehow never seen any of the vloggers out in person despite going to the parks often. It's really all the lying that gets me too, it's SO EASY to go out and verify whenever these people blatantly lie in their videos.

When I first moved to Florida I relied heavily on the Trackers for food recommendations because I had no idea about many of these local chains. I tried several of their favorites and realized I should NEVER take their opinions seriously ever again. Just bland, boring garbage quality food... Then I realized that's basically their entire vlog style too: bland, boring, nothing of substance.

perhaps we are just unlucky. We frequent the parks on weekdays because my husband doesn’t have off on weekends. Maybe I’m just hyper aware of the vloggers because I’ve had such bad experiences with our family being filmed without our knowledge

something about it just feels like a violation.

I absolutely cannot stand when the Trackers overexaggerate how hard a storm is / was hitting us. I'm not saying that there couldn't be pockets of bad weather, or some storms are legit more damaging than others we've had over the years. But when I could literally drive to where they were living in Sanford in like 10-15 mins. and experience the same non-storm they were experiencing as I had at home... and / or can actually read a weather map and see where the rainbands were or the intensity was - down to the STREET or SUBDIVISION level (locals know what I'm talking about), then I would actually want to wring their necks when they'd post a vlog and act as if it was another Andrew barreling down on them.

I have never see anyone who has grown up or lived in Florida for a long time that are afraid of everyday rain like these two idiots. *camera pans up to see slightly dark skies* Tim wipes nervous sweat off his brow saying “looks like rain” yeah no tit, maybe go out in the morning to avoid the afternoon thunderstorm?

Also, “it’s hot today” yeah asshole you live in Florida and it’s summer

Ominous clouds! Ominous clouds! 🤣

Actually, I LOVE being at the parks when it starts to rain. It cools off for a bit and tons of people flee to the hills and you can often have a good portion of the park - especially at EPCOT - to yourself practically.

Heck, the first time we went to (pre-COVID) GE was during one of our tropical storms years' back. Sure, it was raining and blowing and all but it was friggin awesome. We were at EPCOT, hopped on the boat to HS and both parks had GREAT crowds because barely anyone wanted to venture outside the hotel during a TS.

omg this was one of my breaking points. I swear they are secretly Gremlins with the way they act towards moisture. Probably another reason we never see Jenn freshly showered 🤣🤣. She’s probably 97% dry shampoo and body spray at this point

but what is the deal with being completely averse to rain? Having lived here YOUR ENTIRE LIFE.

Ive lived in Orlando almost 10 years (10 exactly in august) and lived in Florida on and off for nearly 25 years

the rain cools things down a bit, clears out the parks, and nobody dies from getting a bit wet🤣🤣🤣
