Yes! It’s shocking. In NZ brands have really been called to account for lack of diversity. Some do really well now - many still have a long way to go. What is the situation in Au? Is diversity discussed, encouraged and expected?

I understand and it is nice to see some diversity but at the same time the obligation that some people put on their companies to act a certain way I find so tiring.
I personally do not care if a campaign has only white, black, yellow, thin, overweight and so on. I don’t have this need to feel represented.
Some people feel so triggered by and the need to feel represented by everything.

There are brands that does not make clothes for people size 16 and over and that’s their choice. They are losing a big market from not making larger sizes but other brands do and that’s fine.

Oh and I am not white or stick thin.

I think the dead giveaway that it was all for CH is the fact that most of their other “ambassadors” didn’t receive their hauls until earlier this week, well after Loaf left for the US so she had to have arranged to collect hers earlier. I imagine the conversation went something like “oh hey CH, I know you’re about to launch a new collection that you’ll expect me to promote but thing is, I’ll be out of the country at a super family friendly event in the lead up to that. So how about I take my gear and do my haul shoot in a fancy foreign location for you guys??” “Sure, it’ll be great to see our clothes shot in a different location” says CH. I don’t believe for a second they specifically asked her to go to coachella to shoot for them at all, this was all her.
