Wow, way to shame working parents. Thanks for this. Some kids have to go to nursery 8 hours a day from 3 months old. They're fine, but the mum's sure feel guilty enough already.

The SJs have no excuse though, they're literally at home. I hear you there.
I’m due in Jan and by April he’ll be in daycare 8 hours a day for me to work. Business won’t run itself!

bleeping hell if I wanted to know a minute by minute report of the weather I’d watch the news Anna. Why is she so arsed about the weather? It’s all she talks about
Gotta make the most about talking about the weather when that's the only exciting thing going on in your life

Theres nothing wrong with young kids being in nursery or breakfast/afterschool clubs and most kids enjoy them or their parents have no choice.

What's wrong is the reasons of laziness from Sjs.... 'just for me to avoid the traffic in the morning' or 'I cant be bothered to do school run twice in the afternoon'
SJs only do the clubs to get rid of the kids for their free time.
While normal family actually want to put extra time, money and effort to run the kids to their clubs while working full time, cleaning their house, walking dogs, cooking and (horror shock) all by themselves 😲

Honestly what planet does this witch lives on. All she does is moan about the life she chosed herself

Not sure if it's been mentioned but I'd imagine clubs before and after school have limited spaces and they are taking them away from those who actually need them or who's parents have to dash off to work for really quite selfish reasons!(anna not the hard working parents 🙂)

Is there a reason she can't collect andrea and perhaps go for a short walk whilst waiting for the others , spend some time with him maybe talking about the day ,what was for lunch what he did etc.

Rather than take up an afterschool club space that's not essential, with them living fairly close traffic shouldn't be an excuse and neither should to pick up times improvise on how to pass the time.

The grotesque man creep is 42 and the airhead wife is 34 and their audience is teenage girls. WTF...

That demographic is what is still keeping these freaks in business.
I don’t get it, I can’t think of any teens I know, mine included who would find them interesting to watch. The parents are too old and the kids are too young. It’s always puzzled me

i think the reason is that she can't be bothered and she doesn't care enough

seriously, how much time do they actually spend with the kids.. wake up, eat breakfast, go to breakfast club and then school. once they're out of school, dinner then shoved into the playroom to watch films unsupervised.. the only time they actually spend is filming things for content. even story time before bed was a job given to the alexa app 🤷‍♀️

That is quite shocking. I could understand maybe Emilia wanting to go and be away from them and be with friends but the younger kids no.
Isn’t it unusual to send your kids to before and after school clubs when you’re not working. My school has one but it’s basically free childcare for parents working till 5-6pm. I thought about sending my daughter one day a week so I could have a bit of time to catch up and even I felt guilty doing that as I don’t NEED to. Anna and Jonathan are both stay at home parents there is really no excuse.

They start very young in the UK. If that was Ireland your child would have done another year of pre school.
Ye was going to say the same thing personally think it's better send them in a bit older closer to 5 and seem to do longer days in the UK aswel

Yeah (by me actually lol) but sjs are in private school so whow knows if its limited or just extra money for school if you pay for it
But you are absolutely right no reason if not enjoyed or necessary..
Our school have breakfast club and some after school clubs 'by invite only' when you have to tell them why your child needs longer care. The rest are just normal sport/art/dance etc clubs for kids to have fun. Spaces are limited and I'm doing double school runs 4 times a week no biggie 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah I think it depends what clubs they are doing. If it's just longer care or the free activity clubs for after school. Also what kids you have. (I would need 30 hrs in a day and double income for my kids to attend all the activities they want to do🙈)

Speaking general You can postpone it till 5 or they can only go for a half day etc for reception year to adapt. It's not compulsory for YR. And it's mostly like a preschool so no real teaching as such

Since we keep discussing school runs, I'm curious to know why it doesn't seem to be common in the UK that kids go to school on their own. I know the SJ live quite far away, but I'm talking about kids who live within like a one mile radius of the school.
Were I live (central Europe) kids start school after they turn 6. Parents usually walk with them a couple of times until the kids know the route and then they go on their own or with other school kids from their neighborhood. It's also very common to see kids as young as six taking public transport (bus, tram, train,...) to school on their own. Some also take their scooters and by the age of 10 kids are allowed to ride their bikes without adult company. It's completely normal here.
I remember when I started school at six and was allowed to walk to and from school alone, my mom wanted to surprise me and pick me up from school and I bursted out in tears when I saw her at the school gate, because I was so upset and wanted to go alone. She never dared to pick me up ever again. :ROFLMAO:

We always knew he’d be back to exploiting his kids, he can’t stop doing it and is clearly scraping the barrel with money now.
And why? Because he's a freaking loser with no talents. He wouldn't be able to afford their lifestyle without the kids.

By his own stupid admission, he has been fired from every job he's been in. So he sits on his fat ar*e in his soon to be sold grey & white velour house and messes with making wildly inappropriate videos of his innocent children for public viewing.

Safety reasons. Not long ago kids in primary schools (thats till 11yrs) weren't allowed to go to or from school alone. This changed to that year 6 (10 -11old) can do as for the transition to secondary school. Now its little bit more relaxed when is said you can send them alone but need to consider if they can safely do it.
So now it's basically a madness... you see 10 years olds with their mum still holding hands or 7 years old being hit by car because new found freedom just being stupid not knowing how to cross the road safely.
Of course it depends on situation.
I'm from central Europe too and been here as an au-pair and now have own kids so went through few primary schools. But this is how it is in general.

Edie the name so does not fit E2 at all, it just reminds me off the blonde housewife in desperate housewives 😂 probably where Anna got the inspiration
The name edie just reminds me of Gray Gardens, jackie Kennedys bat tit crazy cousin. little edie!

Yes, it's so sad.

Anna's threshold for having her own children in her company or spending time is 20 mins tops. Am I being too generous?

She always looks awkward when she is alone with her own children, when she is with them or talks to them she is emotionally detached and disengaged, her attempts at a conversation with them looks forced and usually revolves around idle small talk or short sentences or questions that usually ends with good boy or good girl with the word cute thrown in there somewhere.

She has 4 children to build wonderful relationships with and could spend some quality time with each and every one of them , but doesn't, she is not interested to, she just sees them as burdens and finds being around them or doing something with them such an arduous undertaking. It's so sad when some people would feel blessed to have such an opportunity.

The amount of waste they have from lunch and dinner is insane. I’m one that’s never told my kids you have to clear your plate but over the years I learned how much they can consume. Those kids are used to eating a few bites of pasta and she goes and gives them a full fish burger, fries, and a salad. She doesn’t understand portions nor has she ever as A1 was always given an entire adult meal at a year old. She needs to follow accounts that feed their kids and show the plates. Her ED has her confused on what and how to eat. She really needs help for so many things.
If she has such an issue getting the kids from school she should just hire a runner to pick them up. That way she wouldn’t have to act like her life is over when she has to pick up her kids nor risk U2 playing. I think the only thing keeping her going is a Matt sighting.

Exactly. Blimey, my 7mo will almost be full time in nursery soon. Don't have a choice. Anal and Jono do though I guess but from my 10 years of being a primary teacher I can tell you that 4 year olds starting school full time is usually the best thing for them. Especially children like him because it's not exactly like his parents have helped him develop so far is it?! At least he's safeguarded and has other children his age to socialise with at school.
