I have a child a year younger and another a year older than E. On their birthdays I spend the night putting up banners and balloons. No matter what time they wake up in the morning, everyone in the house also gets up to watch them open their presents. I don’t talk about my fanny while they open their gifts. A table lamp, satin pillow cases and a throw…Did E turn 9 or 39???

Exactly this !! I prepare for birthdays for months with my two. Buying little bits etc. They never really have main presents. They each help me with their siblings banners, wrapping presents, balloons. They both get £10 on each birthday to spend on their sibling. My mum bakes a cake it’s never perfect but they get so much excitement out of picking what they want and telling nanny. Their cousins come round. Birthdays are massive in our little family. Mainly because that’s the two days a year they get on

All I can notice in the video of Wilby at the party is Edie constantly having to pull up the little material that she’s wearing as a top in the background. So inappropriate.

Then Rachaeaeaaeaele is sat there talking in a stupid bleeping voice, when she's not sniping at Joyce or talking about her thrush. Joyce is sat there sucking the fun out of everything by insisting he gets to tell the coloured hair band story and Betsy, who actually looked like she wanted to see her sister open her presents, just keeps getting told to go away.
Such a weird way to do birthdays. For all her big, rambling texts about how much they love each other, there seems to be hardly any emotional connection between any of them. Where was everyone else?! Edie did come across as very polite though, a far cry from how Rachaeaeaeaaele used to describe her when it was Edie constantly being thrown under the bus for having meltdowns.

I just think a present exchange like that should be a private, family thing. Surely the Huns would be respective of that instead of her having to justify the fiver (or above) a month. Maybe it’s me not from a normal family
