I hope Michael has another job. There is no way this is his only gig, unless he is milking his mother and father.

Kelly... If you like these boys, let them go back to working and not wasting time. Unless you are funding health care, a 401k, and stock options... LET THEM GO TO MAKE A LIVING AND FUTURE!

Yes, I like to make fun...but, these kids (who are NOT kids) need more leadership than parents that are either scamming, or "yes" Mom's.

JANE!!! Buck up and help your children!

I don't think Michael or Dave have jobs, they seem really sheltered and spoiled. With Michael, since he doesn't have a college degree, it would probably be difficult for him to find a white-collar job, but knowing him he probably thinks he's "above" blue-collar jobs and service jobs.

I actually think he could do a decent job as a presenter for one of the shows at WDW, but then again he probably thinks he "deserves better" than those types of jobs.

I find myself torn.

Dave has a degree. And...he has/had a decent job from what I remember seeing. Like the kind of job they don't just hand out to morons. And yet, on the videos, he comes across as utterly clueless. I still believe he is smarter than what he portrays. I'm not sure WHY he would want to come across as dumb. Maybe it's his schtick.

There was a video a few weeks back. He is making his over-the-top goofy Dave Kay voices. And he is going into a Mexican establishment. And, he has a conversation with one of the workers in pretty decent Spanish. Better Spanish than I can speak. I know certain words. And I can understand certain words. But, Dave was fully conversational. Yet, he acts like such an idiot, "Where is the bathroom-o?" I am not sure he has ever said anything like that, but that's the kind of ignorance that he approaches his videos with.

Michael may act manic sometimes....but he never acts stupid. Not intentionally, anyway. Now, no degree like Dave...but (other than what we see on a day to day basis) a person may look at him and think he probably has his act together. He at least portrays some sort of measure of intelligence and authority. Also, his history of keeping females off camera...it shows a certain amount of shrewdness. And yet, he asks some of the most non-sensical questions you've ever heard. It doesn't seem like a put-on, either.

I go back and forth with which one is the smart(er) one and which one is the dumb(er) one. I go back and forth about which personalities are legit with them, and which ones are some sort of performance.

Phooey... Spoiled only goes so far. His parents can't have that much money to throw at kids that do nothing. Michael and Dave's (Michelle) parents are of the age that they either earned it, or inherited it (East coast family??).

Either way... Someone needs to kick 'em in the gonads and open their eyes. It's super sad.

I'm hear ya, my friend... I don't think either are "dumb." They may just be SUPER LAZY and selfish (tit, parents with old money).

I don't think any of them have any self awareness. ZERO.

I wonder if that money runs out after spending like this.

BTW... Side note - Jane, you are raising two boys that no woman will EVER want. You stink. TERRIBLE MOTHER.

Maybe that's what Jane wants... The relationship is very much "Norman Bates."

Dave is an idiot in the wrong ways. He's probably a lot smarter than he appears and I almost wonder at times if the videos are a social experiment/troll/joke that we just don't get. He seems like that Justin Scared guy. Fake voice, fake persona, fake fake fake. Then off camera he's probably just a normal guy working a white collar IT job.

But Mike, no he's just an idiot

Isn't stupidity unintentional? Otherwise the person is "acting stupid" and that conflict with the truth can either be humorous or pathetic. Michael is rarely intentionally humorous, but his videos often offer a combination of rage and unintended humor content.

Some people are very good at scamming money from others. That is a certainly a type of "shrewdness," but it's a shrewdness that has an element of dishonesty. A bank robber might be shrewd, but that's not a good thing. In michael's case, his shrewdness is not an admirable trait. He lies about his personal relationships, his vaccine status, his knowledge of WDW, his living accomodation, etc. Michael publishes snapshots of certain characters several times a week (my favorite is Pontificating Michael), generally speaking Michael's characters are not good people.

Norman Bates mom issue seems to be correct. But Jane is no longer raising those men, they are grown-ass men. It's way too late to "raise" them.

I certainly don't consider Michael's shrewdness a good thing. Or admirable.

My point in noting it was just to say that it shows at least a certain level of mental acumen. It's not like Mike is mentally stunted or something. One might think that when watching his channel and seeing him squeal all over the place. It comes across like maybe this guy isn't all there. At the very LEAST, it comes across that this is a guy that has a childlike aura about life. But, when you consider how crafty Michael has behaved, both on and off camera...it's not a mental deficiency, it's not a childlike vigor. The dude's all there. He's just a massive d-nozzle.

Michael on his way to becoming a type 2 diabetic getting accolades from a 300 lb whale. Be confident in your “real woman’s body“ or whatever your crappy catch phrase is Kelly.

Am I really the only one who has met PLENTY of morons with college degrees who are handed jobs they aren’t qualified for?
Everyone always seems so surprised that an idiot could get a degree or get a high-paying job, but a degree isn’t necessarily an indicator of intelligence.

Nope I'm totally with you. College degrees are definitely not the only measure of ones intelligence. Lots of college graduates are idiots. You can be book smart and street stupid. Book smarts only get you so far. Dave is probably book smart. Mike is neither. I really think he's dumber than Dave. Which is hard because even though I think Dave has some book smarts he's so street stupid that it cancels it out.

I don’t think either of these guys is stupid. I think if mike had never started vlogging they’d both be living boring, normal, societally productive lives. But seeing clueless people give mike thousands of dollars just for posting his vacation videos and having a few die hard fans making him feel like he was way more important did all the damage necessary.

Yeah, both are not stupid but emotionally stunted in a way. I think Dave's personality onscreen in his videos is all an act that he thinks will turn him into a big time influencer like MrBeast or Logan Paul. Gawd, don't remind me of the Havok video. BTW, not sure what makes him think those weird facial inflections he does when he talks will make him more popular. I think his personality is more aligned when he used to be featured as Michael's companion in the old videos. Quiet and more reserved. As someone else said, Dave seems like a book smart guy, but lacks any street smarts & common sense. For example, why does he always have issues with hotel rooms that could be resolved by a simple Google search or using Yelp/TripAdivisor. Like he didn't know about resort fees in Hawaii, the smoking room he got at the Four Queens hotel in Vegas, or the issues using a free food credit at Excalibur. He is always trying to pay McDonalds prices and being disappointed thinking he is getting filet mignon. These are all things that can be researched online and read when you reserve the hotel room.

Michael at least built his channel from the ground up (even if views/subs are stagant with other vloggers passing him by). He knows the image he is trying to portray in his vlogs and at least knows some type of business sense. I just don't get the Peter Pan syndrome with him.

Michael has taken a turn for the worst when it comes to his channel, as we have discussed in the past. I think he started off vlogging etc. as a way to express a passion. He had a "stable" life/a real job. The decision to turn his channel into a (I assume) full-time job has caused him to change his demeanor completely. He is in such a rush to put out information and to keep up with putting out videos they are boring, lack research & and are painfully redundant.

I think he spends more time on these click baity tacky/ugly thumbnails at this point than any other type of research or video editing. As you can see the difference between before the move to the thumbnails now, these "omg" super shocked faces looking absolutely ridiculous.

You're making me want to watch his Vegas videos.
I usually can’t handle Dave’s videos because they’re too slow and boring to even be hate-watchable, but the Vegas and Hawaii ones are another level. Watching his indecisiveness and uncertainty slam into obstacle after obstacle is completely maddening in a trainwrecky, can’t look away sort of way.

You're making me want to watch his Vegas videos.
I broke down last night & watched two of his Vegas vlogs. His fly-in to Vegas day/check-in to the Luxor video, was just as exciting as you would expect. He wandered the hotel/casino/"shopping mall" looking for food. At one point he was lost in some random hallway/corner corridor, but I don't think he understood that. He stated how crowded it was in the casino, but everywhere he walked you barely saw 2 people. The video where he checks into the Four Queens, another mind boggler. Why would you not immediately go ask the front desk to change your room if you absolutely can't handle being a smoking room? No, Dave stays the night & complains the next day to get moved. Dave keeps complaining about the price of food. He gets a banana coffee drink. Complains about it being $8, yet doesn't realize he spends $5-6 on Starbucks crappy drinks on the regular, so is it really that expensive? He did meet-up with a "friend". He showed the "friend's" french dip sandwich, that's it. I can't help but watch some more of his psychological thrillers later on!
