Marley off to nursery, but he loves spending time with his family hence Indie being homeschooled , with a flask of chia seed porridge for lunch. Claims this is what Marley asked for. Yes, we are back to him showing us how to pre warm and fill a food flask. The nation's saviour, where would we be without Joe to show us the way!

Don't forget him telling us how a plug works where would we be without your wisdom Joe?! 🪠

I don't find the whole "my kids are feral lol" thing funny when it's actively encouraged like Joe seems to. I'm not the world's best parent and let my kids get away with stuff and they are a bit feral at times but you do need at least some boundaries and structure with children.

Same here. Of course let kids do certain things and they’re all a bit grim at times But actively encouraging the behaviour Joe does is weird.
It’s always people with lots of money too who make a joke of being ‘feral’ 24/7 because they’re too lazy to parent

Marley is in nursery which isn’t compulsory school. Indie should be in year 1, he can’t just take her out when he feels like it to piss off to America for 3 months. Or to the Maldives it’s very obvious he’s only taken Indie out of school so they can go away when they feel like it. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with baby no.4 arrives. But yes Indie is definitely the favourite anyway.

I guess they sent him to nursery because they want a break from him because they want him to socialise with other kids. Which makes not sending him to school in September all the more difficult to justify. Apart from all the luxury holidays they need to go on of course.

Although with Rosie pregnant again that will curtail their ability to travel slightly…

Also i'm sure I saw a recipe where he used a gousto ingredient but tried to cover the gousto branding.... curious if anyone knows anything

I’m not sure if she goes to any clubs etc. she should be mixing with children her age everyday, going to birthday parties etc it’s such a vital time for learning and developing social skills. Instead she’s being used for social media engagement and revenue. Having to cook and exercise

I think Indie and Marley will be back in school in Sept, agree with what has been said about their reasons behind it being motivated by going on long holidays whenever they want.

I’m quite pleased we don’t see her at clubs, other children shouldn’t feature on his IG anymore than his own should

I have been meaning to ask this too! Wasn’t he a share holder or something, he used to post about them a lot and had his own recipe line with them but he never mentions it now just his own shite meals

Doesn't sound like Gousto was a great investment and maybe Joe was one of the smaller investors left out of the latest share sale in favour of some much bigger investment companies mentioned in this article.
Regarding Indie, what does she do all day? She strikes me as being far too grown up for her years which probably comes from spending too much time with adults than her peer group. She was doing dance at one point but it hasn't been mentioned in ages. I remember we were all pleased at least she had a normal hobby outside of her abnormal household (both parents kicking about, not going to school, dragged out on stages to perform with Dad at big events).

pretty much all of these subscription meals start ups are struggling and look to be bad investments. They were always going to max out on new subscriptions a la Netflix and then when more and more of them spring up it’s just diluted the market even more. And then people realised they weren’t that great, or cheap and they’ve gone back to eating out post-covid. The SoftBank investment itself should be a red flag - they massively backed WeWork

It said he invested 2019 so probably made big gains during the pandemic, along with big gains from his increased profile/YouTube revenue. Post pandemic I assume both are in decline. He was just a lucky chancer in the right place at the right time. His 15 minutes are long long up.

I remember listening to Joe on Steven Bartlett’s podcast and he said that every time he did Insta stories featuring Gousto (and I remember he did them quite a lot), he would earn something like £10k from his sign up code. It was really eye opening. And, Joe being Joe, I don’t think he realised how that might come across. I guess the Diary of a CEO podcast is all about showing off anyway, and not being cagey about discussing wealth. But even so

We did Hello Fresh and Gousto in my house from around 2019-2022, but stopped as we couldn’t justify the cost any more with the increase in bills and cossy livs crisis. I think a lot of people made the same decision.
