I got totally lost down the rabbit hole of the conspiracy theories thread last night Soeaking of threads, I’m happy to create one for chat in the Off Topic section? Maybe “Coven of Fraus - All Welcome”?

I note in Jack’s tweet where she mentions pushing it rental-wise with the cat she meantime had no problem talking about how Maine Cat spent a whole day crapping all over the bathroom. What a joy for the landlord to hear.

But actually I just think the novelty has worn off tbh she got the attention and the headlines that she wanted, while giving a few low kicks to DW on the way and now she has moved onto something else more interesting for more attention.

That's a great way to start the day. I always thought the gratitude stuff sounded so wanky, but as a family we've got into the habit of talking about what we most look forward to in the day for breakfast and then what we most enjoyed at dinner. It takes a few minutes, but it really focuses the mind on all the positive things in life. It's also amazing to see how sometimes one kid will go 'today is going to be awful' at breakfast, but when he's heard what everyone else is looking forward to, he'll pipe up and say 'oh, actually, I get to see/do/make xyz today'.

Setting a positive tone/intention for the day is a really healthy thing to do. I try and do it as much as possible, unless I'm in a particularly gloomy place and my mind just goes "nope."

In other news, she's just over 100 followers down this morning now. Be interesting to see the end of day figures!

Finally spoke to a good pal about JM who idolised her and she's seen sense and is one of the unfollowers I think the proof points about the cat and also about the begging bowl are too strong to ignore now!

It's the first I've heard of a dog - a Great Dane too, so not exactly a cheap breed either.

My guess is the Great Dane was her parents. If it died 10 years ago she’d have been 22, who buys a giant breed dog when they are working full-time in their late teens? They live to be 8-10 on average, so more fake memories?

So, cake, I’ll basically eat any cake. Although chocolate cake is probably my least favourite despite loving a good bar of chocolate. There’s a cake shop called Cake Box near me (it’s a franchise so there may be one near you!) and they do a lovely Black Forest gateau and a really light vanilla...
