It’s interesting that so many Monroe fans on Twitter are so keen to push her sexuality/gender identity etc. as the “reason” for the “abuse” (read: criticism). Constant bleats of “All her critics are right-wingers/homophobes/“gammons”/TERFs” etc.

I’m looking through the “likes” of the primary call-out reply to Karl’s Tweet and it’s nothing like that at all.

In fact it seems to me that Monroe actually unifies a very broad spectrum of people in their dislike for her and her behaviour.

Yeah, it's quite a cross section when you watch it over time. I see no great bigot conspiracy from any quarter and quite honestly I think a lot of people have forgotten or never knew she was NB. Other than her initial coming out and the period afterwards it's not had a lot of play. I think there is some real mischief making going on- poss socks or just hardcore Jack stans. If it could be turned into a gender issue then the actual problem- the grift gets lost which would be very convenient. Fortunately I think the level of anger is on the real issues and there doesn't seem to be any great appetite to go all culture wars about it. Even on Twitter, which just shows the unifying power of a grifter unmasked. EVERYONE loves that stuff.

I like the fact that they think someone with several disabilities in a care setting must be a fake/troll but happily believe that Jack , with her multiple disabilities/conditions ( both physical and mental ) must be genuine
