If she bought a house and a tree needed chopping down she’d be crowdfunding it.

I get the feeling she is trying to get us to 🔺 the landlady and basically she has doxxed her by saying exactly where she lives. It’s appalling behaviour. Just because Jack shares every detail about where she lives and Daddy H shares his street address in newspapers doesn’t mean she has any right to point out where the landlady lives. It’s basically harassment.
👏 And she has no right to lead the Jackolites to draw incorrect conclusions about her Landlady's financial standing.

Also if she goes through her folders and finds her tendancy agreements she will find her rights and the rights of her landlord.

I know we've moved on but re the Allen criminal family, they really are an awful family. Entitled and above the law springs to mind. Re offending is common amongst that ilk too.The fact his wife condoned him says it all really ☹
real children out there in the world suffered for those images. It breaks my heart to think of that. Reading up on it, I found the news paper articles from the time describing it as child porn which is disgusting. I hate child abusers, they are monsters.
Jack might not have known about the Allens but Allegra surely did. This does not cast her in a good light.

honestly, it's just all made up, isn't it? I sincerely doubt anyone's turned up without prior notice (and on a saturday!) to talk about cutting down a tree

also, dunno about anyone else, but we've never had any contact with our letting agent since we picked up the keys. if anything needs doing, the landlords get in touch and there needs to be 24 hours notice of someone attending, unless it's an emergency. but, with jack, it's *always* the letting agent

and "passing tree surgeons" coming knocking is just the icing on the cake 🤣

I'm convinced that these little stories she comes up with are purely to duck with us and, tbh, it's mildly entertaining on a dreary saturday with nothing else to do

Can anyone who knows the address of the bungalow look up what the EPC is on here? https://www.gov.uk/find-energy-certificate

From 31st December 2025 all new tenancies have to have an EPC of C or better (there are a few exemptions, such as listed buildings) and ditto for existing tenancies from 31st December 2028. Given what Jack has said about the house, I'm guessing it's an F, possibly a low E, and the landlord doesn't want/can't afford the expense of getting it up to a C and is going to sell while the market's hot. A LOT of older rental stock is going to be excluded from the rental market in three years' time, meaning rents in areas with high levels of Victorian terraces are going to go up as the number of eligible properties goes down.

Do you guys not have gangs of tree surgeons roaming your streets knocking on your door like Mormons? Honestly, I get it all the time. Can’t even take a bath without getting out three times to answer the door to those pesky tree surgeons trying to drum up some business.

So the landlady inherited the property and has no mortgage [img 1], and also the landlady has a mortgage which Jack is currently paying [img 2] house is perfect for a forever home and is also a crappy bungalow with a staircase which has caused Jack and SB to have respiratory illnesses.

I knew her landlady lived nearby, but I didn't realise it was right across from her, or that it was her mother's house.

One of my brothers lives in our childhood house. He's got a young family so of course it needed decorating, new bathrooms etc. so obviously it's changed from the house it was when I lived there, but it's no less loved or cared for.

But if I turned up to find he'd been slagging it off and generally treating it appallingly, I'd be heartbroken. Imagine living across the road from your mother's house and having to watch someone treating it like crap and bitching about how crappy it is on Twitter? Jack's an ungrateful mare.

I didn’t know about the Allens and when someone said Tim earlier I had a major chaos as thought it was the other one!

standing by someone who does that is a huge red flag.

maybe Jack missed the messages about it in the industry WhatsApp group!

A couple of times when I've been in the garden, guys have pulled up in a van and commented on my "overgrown" rowan tree, and said they were tree surgeons.

One of them also offered to sell me a 2nd hand mattress from the back of his van, and the other wanted to jetwash my bins 🤔

The house was last sold in 2001 so unless landlady bought it from her mum then Jack is lying.

“Press, please don’t run this as a story”. FFS Monroe you jumped up little tit, there are slow news days, and there’s “jumped up slop slinger makes a huge song and dance about a tree” levels of banality.

I think you’ll be ok, pal. The “press” will be contacting their gumshoes for stories about the goat who ate a pair of bloomers or a duck with a funny quack before they get to this made up tale of drama from a tedious nonentity. Have a lovely evening! x

I actually got confused with Dave Allen at first. I can understand she might not have been in the loop as he was a chef and it was a different world etc. Although you would imagine Allegra might have said "don't mention the war scandal" when they were there.
