As a bystander (?) the impression the news/economy gives is that food bank usage has changed significantly, even in the past 2 years of pandemic? So whilst 10 years ago you’d be a one off visitor (and wasn’t it capped back then too?) who’d fallen foul of horrible sanctions or UC delays or whatever, the problem is now the cost of living is impossible due to rent and utilities and low wages that food bank users are using them week in week out for help. Like on the news food bank workers are referring to their families eg a returning demographic, how they deliver weekly eg to the same houses. So does the same top tip re a box of luxury biscuits really apply anymore?
