It's a classic thing that the upper middle classes do to make themselves feel like they're doing their bit. Just champagne socialism at its finest. If anything Nigella is patronising Jack, as are all the blue ticks who reply to her with praise, they think they are contributing to a charitable cause or are showing solidarity with "the poor".
When in actual fact Nigella probably just got home from her local deli with her £15 per 100g cheese and £10 loaf of bread that she will share with her friends this evening over an expensive bottle of plonk, talking about how awful the poor have it.
I like Nigella but she is so far removed from the real lives of average brits because of her upbringing and social status that she hasn't got a clue, and sees Jack as a genuine person because why would she think otherwise?
This is a good point. It's likely Charlie Bigham and the Issa brothers are plotting to put an end to Jack's vital campaign work. These are ruthless people and would think nothing of burning those notebooks. There will almost certainly be some MI5 involvement as they'll be worried that Jack could spark a revolution with her body of work. Don't want to be alarmist of course but there are some dangerous people after Jacks notebooks.
I did, it didn’t crush the ice (because made of plastic) the flavour stuff was in a little penguin with a hole in the top of his head to squeeze it out, the flavour sauce went weird/off v quickly and had kind of Orange fibres in it? 1/10 would not buy again, if you were spoilt like I was you will know that Keepers were a better bet.
Not all teabags are compostable these days (I'm looking at you Twinings) and some contain plastic
It will say on the box if they are compostable but not if they contain plastic which is a bit shady. I'd also like to echo that tea pickers are overworked, underpaid and its just another industry that thrives on slave labour

Yeah it’s true. She could have paid her tax - we don’t get a record of it. But if she hasn’t completed accounts I’m not sure how she would calculate her corporation tax. I hate to lower the tone but the source of the noise is more likely to be her arse. She must be like a brass band after wolfing one of her foul concoctions like a greedy goblin.
She's not updated her Patreon in over a year so what exactly are people paying for, her rants on Twitter? She gets paid for her media appearances right, and back when she wrote books so I can't imagine what else the money is for. What does she actually do?!
Patreon is almost like UBI for her in a way.
