A collection of congratulations to @Harrybosch for your dry wit, and @MarzBarzie and @Captainmouse for the nomination! 🎉 Huzzah. Your prize: VIP tickets to the book launch (don’t hold your breath).

Recap of last thread

  1. She showed off the artwork that was both ‘bought in better times’ and a gift from an ex. Also on display was the sofa that ‘Katie Hopkins paid for’.
  2. Someone drew her like Nigella’s garden.
  3. Good morning from her, her book deadline and her evil eye.
  4. Turns out she has had some past dealings with Sarah Awkisombe. Awkward. Shouldn’t have boasted about having a Go Henry card.
  5. Uh-oh, technical troubles with the book. Why her? Why now? Just tweet about cheese, baby.
  6. What more could befall her? Rash on her face, that’s what. The outrage. Don’t offer her remedies. She tried everything.
  7. [*]

PS love the thread recap

Why did she say the Beatles should be cancelled lol?
She reckons they were all abusive to women, but she couldn't find any actual evidence to back up this claim. She's also cancelled the singer Sia about an autism film. It is exhausting. I feel very strongly that people should be free to hold opinions, even racist ones, and that we should also be free to disagree with them, judge the person for having them, and laugh at them if we want. I see more and more young people who just want to live in an echo chamber where everyone agrees with them.

We need to keep our eyes peeled for the inevitable Southend paparazzi photos of her sheepishly scuttling towards the train station, head covered with Burberry scarf like a modern-day Bridget Bardot. The headline to read:

School Lunch Hero, Patient Zero boards Train to London.

I agree. I'm sick of cancelling and of the stranglehold against free speech. If the Beatles were abusive to women (and I have heard bad things about John Lennon), why does that mean they should be "cancelled"? Why must one lead to the other? The art should be separated from the artist.

I do feel like teenagers have always had the tendency to want to surround themselves with likeminded people - the difference is that when we were younger our social circles were limited to those we knew in real life and we weren't exposed to a constant barrage of people shouting their differing
opinions through social media! We probably created our own echo chambers without even realising it.

Swans off to A&E for a jolly, but won’t bother the dr 🙄
The GP is probably only doing phone triage as a first step at the moment (or at least they are here) and she’s so terrified of the phone calls she wouldn’t be able to answer. I imagine the GP has also already seen through her and a phone consult won’t give Jack the option to fully use her body of smol pathetic sadfacing so she wants face to face - pharmacist and A+E.

To be fair on her, Sia's film *is* pretty offensive, and totally tone-deaf. It's great that she's engaging with media in a critical way, and it's equally good that you're encouraging her to think more deeply about her views, though there are some issues that definitely deserve the backlash!

Yep, process should be pharmacist then if they can’t provide the care needed, online/phone consult with GP practice (probably nurse practitioner in the first instance) and then onward referral to the relevant specialisms if indicated (not indicated here I wouldn’t think). No trips to ED required so not many exciting photo opportunities!

I know someone exactly like Jack and it is absolutely exhausting. The constant stream of ailments was one of the things that started to turn my opinion of her, coupled with the offers of potential solutions from others and her always responding with TRIED IT, DOESNT WORK.

The problem is she does it so regularly that there will be the odd time that she’s telling the truth but she bullshits so much it’s all just noise now.
Due to having someone similar in my life, I have a very low tolerance for this kind of bullshit and people who take smiling attention selfies from A&E really trigger my rage.
I know we all react differently to medical incidents but as a general rule, if i’ve ever been poorly enough to require medical attention, the last thing on my mind was documenting it on social media.
I feel like she takes the photos for “evidence” to convince herself and others that whatever it is is real. Performative teenage attention seeking pathetic behaviour at its finest.

I think Sia should be able to make whatever films she wants (within the law), and people should decide if they want to see it. I care a lot about ASD as my job involves working with young people on the spectrum, but I don't think SIa should be prevented from making what sounds like a terrible tone deaf film. I agree with backlash, I think tattle is a kind of backlash.

She forgets/doesn’t care that she holds a public platform and that she has people who hang on to her words and emulate her. Its a pet peeve of mine when people with influence talk about “not bothering” the NHS. The whole point is that people, ESPECIALLY those with long term conditions (looking at you, wheelchair emoji) have continuity of support in general practice. Don’t suggest that people shouldn’t contact the GP because they are some sort of burden. Urgh.

Especially if you then end up in A & E because all the same day appts. at the Dr. have been given out.

Don't go to the GP, because it's burdensome. Don't apply for benefits, because it's burdensome. Don't use a foodbank, because your children might be taken away.

She's awful. Especially when, as @Whaa? says, she then uses even more resources by rocking up to A&E.

I wonder if the reason she doesn't go the GP isn't because it's burdensome, but because...they might call her out re her polypharmacy approach. Or, EVEN WORSE, tell her that her ailment du jour isn't actually the VERY WORST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO A HUMAN BEING EVAH.

Jack is a munchie, or at least has a munchie personality type. She uses her illnesses, either fabricated or greatly exaggerated, to avoid responsibility and deflect criticism. It’s what made me interested in her in the first place. I came to tattle for the celebrity secret gossip, I saw the fast moving threads on Jack and was curious as I’d heard of her and knew there was some controversy surrounding her but didn’t know the details.

I have someone in my life who is a munchie and they’re so similar to Jack. When I started to look into munchies because of this person I found accounts of others and they all follow the same pattern. Lies, attention seeking, avoiding being held to account, having to be the worst sufferer ever. I think the only reason she’s not gone full munchie Wellness Warrior (tm) is because she uses The Poverty as her main source of attention and deflection.

Also the not bothering thing is a joke when you know she's got NHS 111 on speed dial.

It's so unfair that she keeps being given these amazing opportunities when there are so many people out there who could only dream of publishing their own cookbook! How is she still publishing books? Good Food for Bad Days barely even got any press coverage at all.

It is a joke, she could’ve taken herself to the pharmacy quite easily without even calling them first. But she needed the attention.

Flashbacks to my 2nd year flatmate, who was never 'just' hungry, or 'just' tired/ill/overworked - she always had to be 'starving' or 'absolutely exhausted', even if we'd done exactly the same amount of stuff during the day 😬 turned out that she was a massive narc in the end, so it checks out!!

Our sisters in grift on the Sarah A thread reckon it’s the cheap necklace that’s given Jack her rash. I long for days of such innocence, sadly we are seasoned pros now and know it could be anything from a bit of Urban Decay to her finally getting botulism from her concoctions đŸ˜«
