That Christmas dinner sounds like a load of unneccesary work. Phew. No wonder she sleeps all day she's waste so much time dicking about with things instead or making it tasty and simple. It's a big NO from me.

Interesting the del Monte canned fruits are specified, you would definitely recommend the best value for budget shoppers, not be influenced by who paid you, right....
Like seriously, isn't this against the law or something? She's cross contaminating her work, large sponsorship deal with Del Monte should not be part of a different promo, or if it is, it should be acknowledged at the very least.

Love the fact that Jack's edgy, extremely socialist family all watch the Queen's speech together on Christmas Day.

Sorry I am in shock at the "pudding". Where's the sugar? It sounds like misery.

Just buy a tub of ice cream and a packet of mince pies 😢

And the opening sentence pains me "at first I was going to skirt around the budget and do a christmas pudding" can someone please translate?

With the cheap bacon and sausages, and all that lard in everything, the whole dinner is going to taste of fatty hole sausage. And that gravy 🤢.

That gravy sounds absolutely pitiful. Christmas gravy is one of my favourite parts of the whole meal. That just makes me want to weep.

Are there any "Advertorial" headers on the article? I couldn't see any...

I still don’t know anyone who watches the Queen’s speech, suppose it delays the inevitable though... a sad lardy lunch

What a sneering, self righteous head.
SHE has the cheek to call sweet potatoes TRAGIC! She’s a bit of a tragedy imho 😤

(I ❤ sweet potatoes so I am fiercely protective of them 😂. It would be boring if we all liked the same things and offering people alternatives is handy...but her alternatives are always SHOCKING!!!

Does anyone else think she was classed as what OFSTED now call “most able” and given that was called “gifted and talented” at the time, she can call herself gifted?

Just a thought.
Yes. When she was at Primary school they used to identify the top 25% (or something) regardless of the ability of class.

why the duck would they not use lidl or aldi? a pound goes a lot further in there than in tesco or asda.

What does she mean by adding the flavour profile of bacon through a number of dishes to pair them up????

I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of bacon but I don’t understand that at all?

yes! also, this list is for people who are on a 20 pound budget for christmas day yet she expects them to own a small powerful blender to make this gravy
And a mandolin.

Can you imagine the howling she would do if another chef wrote recipes mentioning powerful blenders and mandolins?

So the vegans or veggies can have stuffing with gravy. Cheers. There's lard and/or bacon in everything else.

As a 90% vegan she should know how annoying this is. I'm a very easy vegan and will happily just eat veggie sides, but those sides need to be actually vegan, which is the easiest thing to do if you use olive oil and lots of herbs, spices and mushroom dust.

Also, as an asides, least inventive Christmas dinner ever. There is zero need for these recipes. It's what families up and down the country will be making on the day.
