i've been using Shreddy for the last three months and it's honestly SO crap. It crashes all the time, the support team are tit, and it's so unreliable. I'm not suprised that not even Grezos follows it...

Does anyone have any recommendations of good workout apps or plans??

Thanks so much x
Tone and Sculpt for sure - best app I’ve used and you get a two week free trial. There’s so many different types of workouts on there!

It amazes me that Shreddy has been out for so long now yet it’s defo the buggiest fitness app on the market.

I use T&S too and definitely recommend it - only downside I have is the occasional glitch but it’s rare.

But that's run by Krissy Cela who reeks of diet culture and conceited vibes around her appearance. And like Grace promotes toxic hustle culture. She has a whole thread on here too. I'd recommend maybe Beyond by Meggan Grubb or any influencer who doesn't put the emphasis on her looks or how many hours she works a day.

I mean you’re entitled to your opinion but kind of confused as to how you think Meggan Grubb doesn’t put emphasis on her appearance 💀 all fitness influencers do.

I'm using the Nike app atm (Nike Training Club) and honestly am wondering why I've ever paid for workout apps. That being said I really liked Fitbod and paid for it for a year, it's worth giving the free trial a go. When it comes to plans I'd say Katie Crewe is by far the best, plus it doesn't hurt that she's genuinely lovely and her strength and stamina are seriously badass.

And I mean...that's what the whole influencer thing is based on. These people didn't get popular thanks to their amazing personalities. People like bashing influencers who focus on appearance but we're talking about people that are famous on instagram...

That’s why I say Caroline - I only know of her through you tube, not the image obsessed insta, and the work outs (there’s a huge variety for all ability types) are focused on strength and other aspects of health and fitness NOT aesthetics (she looks amazing but not in the big ass teeny waist insta way)

There are a few influencers that aren’t image-focused but they are usually less popular and harder to find. SoheeFit is great - non-toxic and health-focused - and she says on her website that she’s got a “masters in health psychology, and I'm a writer, coach, educator and Women's Health fitness advisor based in Los Angeles. I'm also a certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA-CSCS*D)”. She’s also doing a phd.

I think she has online plans. I tried Beyond but it was a bit laggy on my phone. I think it was made by the same people as Shreddy, though I liked the workouts.

Looking back, i would only get an app from someone who was very experienced and qualified so check their background first :)

Oh definitely. Sohee and Katie Crewe are fantastic and I'd recommend their content (as well as others'!) over any influencer. Meggan just was the first who popped into my head as one of the big name influencers who in my opinion seems a lot more down to earth and less show-offy than some of the others. I think the best training plans aren't the apps by fitness influencers but the ones put out by experienced strength/fitness coaches, they won't have many followers so they're harder to find on insta. If you're looking for non-aesthetic focus try looking for the non-diet coaches.

would defs second caroline Girvan - Imm sure i read she was a trainer pre covid who started putting workouts on youtube for her clients and then accidentally “made it”
you can tell from
her workouts she definitely knows her tit, most of her workouts also include cool down which isn’t something i’ve ever found with any off the Apps i used which all just say “now cool
down” but it’s easier to ignore that than seeing someone in front of you iykwim

Another good one is Lucy Mountain and her NOBS app, if you want something anti diet culture

She’s so weird. Why is she asking questions exclusively in French to her French followers. Proper wanky behaviour, why not put it in both languages. If this was anyone else I wouldn’t care but this annoys me because I know it’s a flex to try to show off that she can speak some French

Yes so pretentious! I follow a few French people on IG who are based in England and they all do both French & English captions and text. It makes sense - connecting with their audiences in both places!

It’s all for flex, how many french followers does she even have, who tf is she even speaking to here?
And I’m pretty sure she is asking for people to give her info on shops where she can buy vegan cheese, which is hilarious because it’s not like she’s even said the area she’s staying in, so I’m not sure what anyone could even advise her other than err, maybe try your local carrefour?? Or just bleeping google it u bellend lmao

It depends what kind of workouts you’re looking for and how advanced. For at home workouts I’d recommend Pamela reif, then for more intermediate + in the gym I’d recommend either Stephanie Buttermore or Jeff Nippard. They are both very science based with their videos and programs but make the content very easy to understand. Jeff has also done whole series on correct techniques for different exercises

Exactly just fckin look it up. So annoying
Yeah that’s what she said (I think). I think she said in Ligne to be fair. Without the é which I’m sure somehow matters (maybe I’m now being petty)

Also lol why does she finish off the post in plain English/anglais. If you’re translating for your (non existent) French followers why not do the whole thing. Sooooo weird

she may as well have said "sorry to all my ignorant followers who cant understand me" 😂 pretty sure no one would bother following her if they spoke no english anyway, most of what she posts is so wordy

She asked if anyone knows of an online supermarket or shop that sells vegan meat or cheese (because clearly no supermarket irl sells vegetables or nuts or anything else that vegans can eat instead of ultra-processed mush). And she’s right, her French is terrible. Whilst technically mostly correct, it’s so anglicised, and reads like she’s copy/pasted it from google translate.

exactly, I assume she just wants to be sent free food like she is every other week in London. There is SO much vegan food everywhere without having to rely on fake meat or cheese or whatever
