He broke his finger playing Hockey...

I didn't laugh. Honestly

I saw that story. No doubt she wants a pure breed. Ragdoll or some other expensive cat. Maybe a Sphynx. Those Sphynx cats give me the heebie jeebies. I apologise to anyone who has one who I may offend. But the thought of stroking skin and bones 🤢

I hope she does check out cat shelters. They are crying out for people to adopt kittens and cats. 😔
I have it in writing, and plan to hold her to it.

Sure, Jan.

I want to get another cat but most rescue centres (but not all) want you to take two kittens. There is no guarantee two siblings will grow up to get in. I only want one. I would look for an older cat like one who’d had a litter.

Sorry, I know he has his own thread, but really, who is copying who?!

Fml is this the new influencer trend? Get a kitten?

Watch FOD get one now. It'll be his new content. DIY is failing, and the Twins are no longer cute babies and toddlers, so they're now retired.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m puzzled as to why she thinks that her children need a kitten as a present? Hamster, gerbil, something else small and furry ..... with less responsibility, and (sorry if I offend) but with a fairly limited shelf life maybe? Any pet is a responsibility, and whilst I’m all for children being part of a pet support bubble, I don’t believe that the average five or eight year old can comprehend fully the ins and outs of pet ownership.
A kitten becomes a cat, and they may achieve a grand old age ....... get a kitten/cat certainly, but as a ‘family’ present please, and do consider a preloved

urgh there is another big insta mum who is buying her son a kitten for his birthday. I really hate that they think it’s ok to give small children animals as gifts!! It’s really not ok.
And the whole ‘oooh we’ll obviously be getting one from a shelter’ quickly added on at the end is bullshit.

For anyone who might be interested, according to their website, The Isle of Thanet RSPCA branch have kittens seeking new homes. And Ramsgate is within their geographical radius for rehoming. No further net casting needed .......

Ok now, and uttered in my most austere, and serious, primary teacher voice ........ to any parent or carer who is seriously considering buying a kitten as a Christmas present for their child or children, please consider this furry companion, as it is likely to be more appropriate.

I suspect she doesn’t want the hassle of having an inspection/suitability assessment by the RSPCA. That would mean she would have to juggle her schedule of porno shoots down Ramsghetto beach and baking soggy bottomed ca-ca-cake. Oh, and make sure her children are wearing properly fitted clothes.

Think they do them online now.

Now that’s bloody disappointing! I get that they are financially stretched but even local cat charities do basic home visits to determine suitability. Truly shocking
I should imagine she wants an Instagramable kitten not something someone else has neglected and might have issues.
Makes me bleeping mad.

She said online they had had another cat from Battersea and showed a picture of it. I think they, the rescues, are most worried about busy roads and suitable gardens. But, to get a kitten as a Christmas present is stoopid.

Details of rehoming provided below ......... I’ve also included the branch’s phone number so that if there are any interested persons living locally, then they don’t even have to google it ....... I hope that my efficiency and initiative is both helpful, and appreciated.
May I be so bold as to suggest names for the possible feline purchases? How about ‘Ad’ and ‘Gifted’?
