The idea of a whole adult fizzing away with a raging vendetta against someone they don’t know, have never seen and will never meet, to the point of creating an assortment of online personas to attack them based on absolutely nothing is just bizarre to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

(Please no one read my comments on the Cleaning With Mario threads, it will kinda undermine my point here but you know what I mean 🤣)

I’m so glad we’re on this discussion because I had an inkling it was the same person but wasn’t sure if anyone else had caught on 😅 Thing is it was suspicious when Professor started appearing in the threads but why the need for the third Roger profile?!

I guessed Roger was Professor. But I’m not so sure about Thunderfook, they didn’t seem that similar to me!

It was the sharing of profiles and all the comments about the men on there that seemed really suspect to me. Thunderfook disappeared and then Professor popped up with the similar posts 👀

When and how will I find a boyfriend? Why is it sooooo difficult?

Why does he not respond???

Anybody tell me NOW 🙈
I don't know why it's so hard. I have friends who move on within months of one relationship ending..like I can't even find someone I like (let alone who likes me back) in that time.

It is really not easy I think I was single for four years and still sometimes now I’m like questioning it and whether he likes me. Apps are just awful

I think some can just naturally vibe with more people in life whereas you (and me) find that connection is really rare. However I also think a lot of people fake it, and are determined to see any situation/potential partner through to a relationship and will then stick with it even if they're not in love.

I have friends that will date the first person they meet on a dating app, next thing they're exclusive and then in a relationship - meanwhile I'm getting ghosted and binning off multiple weirdos/timewasters/dickheads left right and centre. I think how have they got it so easy?! Then they eventually break up and suddenly you're hearing about all of these issues that had been kept quiet whilst they were together. Always makes me think that the same bad behaviour and red flags we all experience probably did crop up in the beginning, but were ignored. Some people always have to have someone and will pursue anyone that shows them interest until they're in another relationship

Louder for the people in the back 📣📣📣
I could literally give TED talks on this subject. Some people will settle for anything just to say they have something.

there is no harm in having dating mishaps or being single for a while wait till you find someone who you click with and treats you right. I was determined to never settle just because I won’t be alone and neither should anyone else. Then red flags you ignore in the beginning are the reasons you leave in the end

My friends that jump from one relationship to the next can’t handle being on their own, they will see absolutely anyone to avoid being in their own company. I don’t think it’s healthy, learning to be on your own ups your standards because you realise how peaceful it is to not have anyone else giving you drama or dragging you down.

I think so. Takes a lot for me to feel a connection with someone I guess. Whereas like you say, some people just seem to go with the first person who shows interest regardless of how well suited they are. Or they realise that they're not well suited but decide to overlook certain things that could be deal breakers for others?

Some people just like having someone - anyone - and some people just wait until they find a person they really like.

I struggle to feel connections too, I’ve only felt one three times. I could have a really great man with his life sorted asking me on a date but if I don’t feel something then I won’t pursue it or give it a chance. My friends think they are the ones I should give a chance to but I know I need a spark from the start because it doesn’t develop for me.

I know what you mean, I think I have felt it twice in my whole life and I'm 32. There is just something you feel when you want to spend every minute with them and get excited by their calls and they make you laugh and you think they're the most gorgeous person on the planet.

Then there are guys who are nice and attractive and yet you feel nothing for them. As you say, if they're nice and you think they're attractive your friends are like "why don't you just see where it goes". Whereas maybe we're the type who don't settle for anything less than "it".

I wonder if in times before dating apps etc people got together in some grand romantic gesture, or whether it was just "well George from down the road seems like a nice man".

Judging by my family tree it was the latter. A fair few of my female ancestors just married someone who lived down the road and then they have about 10 kids 😅

My friend has been in relationships solidly for the past 10 years with about a month between each person. On the surface it sounds like they are always very happy but when they split she eventually admits there were problems from the start. She can't stand to be alone and loves male attention (she'd admit this herself) but sometimes I wish she'd take a bit of time out and really see the red flags before it's too late.

It's much easier to settle but it'll be worth the wait eventually.

I have a few friends like this too, they're all about how they're totally happy in their own company but they go from one long-term relationship to the next with maybe a few weeks in between, max. Every single dude is the absolute love of their life, until they break up and then he was a terrible hole. I actually think they're just addicted to the honeymoon phase because once the 18 months or 2 years are up, they're already moving on to the next guy, if there wasn't an overlap which there often is.
