Welcome! 2am calls ruined it after a date with an ex-coworker once - he sent me a voicenote of him drunkenly playing guitar and singing me a song...I usually follow along with this thread as I deleted my dating apps so had nothing to contribute but just gonna jump in now
I dunno if it's the men in my area (judging by the other posts, it's not!) but the amount of timewasters was something else. I didn't really have time to spend hours swiping through the apps and messaging (didn't want to either) but felt every single interaction I had to be a certain level of interesting, chill, breezy, not too serious but also intriguing... you know? I never felt like I was being myself with these guys and was being judged at every opportunity. Even the guys who seemed promising turned out to be bleeping weird, like calling me up at 2am after having a drink or tracking me down on social media.
So I've deleted the apps in the hope of meeting someone organically or through a friend now that things are opening up again but who knows. I think the last year has made me realise I'm actually doing fine by myself and I really value my own space and having time for hobbies and friends without dragging a man along.

He said he wants to calm down with the drinking because it's a waste of money and makes him down. So on a Sunday when he said he was going on a sesh I suggested maybe waiting until Tuesday when the football was on. He replied "duck off you bleep" so I said I don't appreciate being sworn at. His response was to tell me to stop being a bleeping sensitive fan.

After lurking and dipping in these threads occasionally I actually do have a date to report on this evening but I’m struggling to motivate myself to get ready properly, I’m so lazy on weeknights since working from home and everything! It’s someone I’ve been very on/off with for ages so I think not having the new date butterflies is also making me lazy. I’ll end up being in a mad rush to get ready and go now, always the way..!

Yeah I think there was deep hatred of children in general. The gist was if you had children your life is deadbeat. The one where her womb was precious and she called someone a bleep for wanting someone who wants children in the future.
