I want Trump to win, we will be in big trouble if Biden gets in.
Biden seems to have onset dementia and the sniffing & stroking of young girls is extremely worrying.

He should be in a nursing home, not running as president.

Well. Reading this thread was a delight 😬

as someone from the UK who has never seen anyone defend Trump in terms of his racist or sexist attitudes, it’s shocking to actually see Trump supporters exist.

I’m from the uk and I sincerely hope they vote trump out. I do not like the special interest he has in the nhs. The Torys are already using covid as an opportunity to reduce services and gear up for privatisation... trump and co will b ready to Pounce with inflated drug prices etc when we’re up shits creek after brexit. Add to the fact that I don’t think it’s good from a global perspective to have a mysoginistic, xenophobic, racist at the helm of such a powerful country. So many inflammatory comments and division all over the place we need some unity and empathy! Not saying Biden is the best candidate but the Republican Party are wild at the moment and a second win will make them feel invincible, I’d hate to be on the other side of their ideals, be poor or non white in America under their rule.

Genuine question, why does trump have a huge black/hispanic support if he’s racist? Why they supporting him?

And instead of focusing on the gaffes both candidates have clearly made, why isn't anyone on the Democrat side making some points about why Biden would be a good leader? I've written long and exhaustive posts backed up with actual data and factual events of things Trump has achieved in his four years in office. We can't have an informed discussion otherwise.
Quoting myself because we’re still waiting for this. 🤣

Why hasn’t anyone pointed out why people should vote for Biden when they defend the Dems instead of insulting Trump? 🤔

Again, why is that?
I’m not sure you understand the difference between an opinion and a fact though. The things you talk about are only based on opinion.
If What is it about Trump and Biden that makes trump win “health wise” hands down?
The fact is that Donald Trump is in better health than Biden. That is a fact - not an opinion!! Also, I really can’t be bothered to go back and forth with you. Too many people have said how argumentative you are. So I’m out. Have fun..🙄🙄

It's not a bandwagon or an echo chamber in the slightest. Trump being a terrible president is an opinion widely held by all sorts of people for all sorts of legitimate reasons.

I just can’t bare the thought of Biden being the president when I really do feel there is overwhelming evidence of him being highly inappropriate towards children. (That is putting it politely).

I understand there is evidence of Trump being inappropriate as well, but this appears to be from his notoriously inappropriate comments, rather than actions (happy to look at any evidence people have to the contrary). Although indefensible they are not to the extent or scale I’ve seen from Biden. Actions do speak louder than words in my opinion. It’s like being between a rock and a hard place if they are the only choices.

I never thought I would say this but Trump appears to be the better choice to me.

So from what I can gather on this thread, joe is creepy but the president who was friends with Epstein, talked about grabbing women by the p*ssy and said he would try it on with his daughter isn't?

ok....

this. THIS! 🙌🏻

All this creepy joe nonsense. Ffs. Just check the state of Trump. He’s VILE. He partied for years with an actual beast. He’s gross.

My nerves are shot with this election. Pennsylvania need to get a move on! Where are our ballot runners? We should have lent them to USA 😂 speed that some areas of U.K. declare. If they were counting it would have been wrapped up hours ago 😂🙈

(I jest! I jest)

I don't understand why they chose to put Biden against Trump.
There needed to be someone with Trump's same character, someone as strong and as bold. I'd be very surprised if Biden won.
I am by no means a Trump supporter, but I just can't see Biden being the president. To me he doesnt look like a man able to take strong decisions, do you know what I mean?
Serious question here... does Teump make strong decisions? Really? All I’ve seen, as a non US resident, is him having tantrums on Twitter and arguing about non issues. Size of his crowds, whether he’s the best human in the history of the world. He so clearly got played by North Korea and he can't recognise it due to his ego and narcissism.

Talking of not having a president: when it was clear he was going to win last time I hurriedly got in my application to become a citizen. I had no intention of becoming one any time before, but it was clear that even people with green cards could be at risk of who knows what. When it comes around to the naturalization ceremony, there is usually a video from the president that everyone has to sit and watch. Except this time it didn’t happen. Instead, the judge made a speech about how the president didn’t want to make a video for incoming new citizens, but unlike this new president he welcomes people to this state and embraces the diversity and richness new citizens bring to the area. I honestly did’t think this little ceremony was going to be a big deal in this little state I have a home in, but after looking around me and hearing this judge I was a blubbering mess along with many others. So thank you absent president who had refused to make a welcoming speech to me and 30 others from 20 different countries. I heard something much more meaningful and beautiful that I will never forget. I have already posted my vote for this November and what a huge privilege that was. 🤗

I think it's pretty clear that in better times, neither Trump or Biden would be the nominee for their respective parties. As it stands, in today's unstable and confusing world, they are the only two practical choices and this is why I feel Trump is the better choice.

Trump is an unusual candidate but he is the incumbent and under his administration, pre-COVID, the US economy did have extremely low unemployment numbers and the stock market was doing well. GDP growth has also been relatively strong. Historically, state of economy tends to be the top concern for most Americans so he has a good record there. He has lowered income tax for almost every American by 2-4% depending on your tax bracket. He also offered a one-time 15.5% tax window for Americans corporations to repatriate. He also passed the First Step Act, a prison reform bill that's definitely a step in the right direction. While he wasn't able to build a wall with Mexico like he claimed (I doubt anyone actually believes that he would've been able to achieve that), illegal immigration has indeed gone down during the Trump administration (you can look at Pew for this data).

On the downside, you can argue that his Presidency has brought out a lot of racists out of the woodwork but this isn't unique to the U.S. If we look at global politics, many countries have been shifting to the right for numerous reasons such as refugee crises, illegal immigration, outsourcing, poor economy, etc.

In regards to the current state in the U.S. (massive protests & racial tensions), a lot of what's been going on is not the result of any single administration, but decades of poor treatment towards the black community. That being said, a lot of people, minorities included, are NOT happy with the way some protesters are destroying property, looting, and destroying cities. During these trying times, you see mayors like de Blasio (a Democrat) defund the police and march with the protesters, leading to a spike in crime in NYC and a vote of no confidence by 150 business leaders of large corporations, who claim NYC is on the decline as a result of his policies (and many of these leaders have supported Democratic candidates in the past). Lawless/no-go zones in a lot of Democrat-run cities such as Seattle and Portland are upsetting a lot of people for good reasons.

At the end of the day, most decent hard working folks just want their cities to be safe and earn a good living. The Democratic party has shifted so much to the left during this election that I can't align with their policies, and I am skeptical that they can do a good job by dividing communities (i.e. everyone who doesn't support me/BLM/radical left is a bigot/racist). Instead of focusing on what they can do to solve the current issues, they pander to certain groups and the radical left, and focus their efforts on attacking Trump. This is poor leadership.

Members are not required to inform others about their departure from a thread. Ever.
Trump has done wonders for the US he has signed a bill to combat Child Trafficking which he has helped triple the people involved in this horrific trade than Obama did when he was president. He is definitely not racist most of you should do your research when it comes to this as he was the first CEO to hire a black person in his casino back in the day, he has pardoned people who were convicted of crimes that they did not commit , he want American to be great again which means taking back the country to where it was before you just have to look at the way England has gone to know what he is talking about violence unemployment drugs immigration. This will be my last post as I am not getting into it with people on here so here’s to TRUMP 2020 🇺🇸 He will definitely win such a great man
Yes, I'm out too. It's become an echo chamber for hating Trump, not a discussion thread.
Comments such as, 'don't you dare confront a Trump supporter with facts' (This from a moderator) are immature and counter productive.
How many of these experts who 'fear for America', are actually American, or have even spent time there, is debatable.
It's a bandwagon, but a corrosive one. Trump will win, and they can spend the next four years bitching and whining, if that's the best they can do with their time.
See you in the threads @Hearforthegoss

im interested that people see Biden as left-leaning as he’s a really quite conservative, uncontroversial politician who has previously appealed to both sides. His voting record has been unremarkable and I believe in any other time except 2020 he would be seen as a ”safe” option by republicans and Centrist/right leaning democrats alike.
I think Biden himself may have a fairly conservative, uncontroversial voting record but it seems like the Democratic party as a whole has shifted quite a bit to the left these days and that's what's gonna spook some people. A lot of politics is perception rather than reality.

Remember the days when John McCain or Mitt Romney were the more controversial candidates? We have stepped through the looking glass. 🤯

Given the many gross comments Trump has made about his own daughter I find it odd the the extreme Trump supporters are still using the tactic of smearing any opposition as a peadophile. It’s quite disturbing really.
I don't disagree with your comment and this may be an unpopular opinion, but creepy comments aside, I don't believe there was/is any improper conduct between Ivanka and her father and it's pretty gross that some of the media tries to paint this narrative. Like most of the controversial things he says, it may be inappropriate and ill-mannered, but I do think Trump has a good relationship with his kids. I think there's something to be said about marrying multiple times and having children with each of his wives, but you never catch a Trump spawn stumbling out of a nightclub with disheveled hair or with a drug scandal. Putting the politics aside, I do think he did a decent job raising his children.

I was surprised as all hell when Trump was nominated in 2016 and then won the bloody thing, but Hillary ran possibly one of the worst election campaigns of all time. Her arrogance that the Presidency was in the bag did her and turned off undecided voters. Then she really nailed herself through the chest when she refused to tour middle America and referred to conservative voters as " deplorable " people.

She ended up being the best ally Trump could have wished for.

Now, with the violent " protests " and bashing anyone over the head who doesn't want to take a knee or declare whatever slogan these lovely creatures shout at you has left a hell of a lot of Americans more than worried what they'll be lumped with if the Left wins and these thugs get their way.

I'm calling it a Trump/Pence victory and they may win by a much larger majority this time around.
