I’m watching vlogs from 2018 and I’m honestly staggered by the difference between then and now - it wasn’t even that long ago. In 2018 she seems so much happier, inspired and fulfilled. Lots happening with Zoella beauty and lifestyle that she honestly seems to enjoy, writing cordially invited (which I know was a tit show but still she seemed to enjoy the process - who wouldn’t), being at the office, socialising with a wider variety of people, seeing her Mum, Joe etc. Lots of ‘get up and go’ for Zoe. Her style was cute and seemed very her, same with make up/hair. She looks good! Weekly vlogs that she seems to enjoy and aren’t just an excuse to shoehorn an ad in.
Cut to 2019/beginning of 2020 and I feel like it’s almost a different person - the vibrancy seems to have dimmed, the vlogs are a chore and she seems to hate it, no hint of any of her brands or any meaningful work that she enjoys, and her social circle reduces. Her style becomes tracksuits and chunky trainers which do nothing for her, those god awful hair extensions appear and she just becomes so bland? I don’t get it, what happened?!

To be fair, I think it's pretty difficult to have any idea of the state of her mental health, her daily life, her possible other business etc. since we see only 1% of her life, which "coincidentally" is the days she only lounges around watching tv. Which as someone who genuinely enjoyed her vlogs a few years back is super disappointing. But I think, as many here have said many times, it's clear that she does not enjoy youtube or being an "influencer" at all anymore, and is just doing it for the quick and easy extra income, since at least half of her insta and youtube posts are ads.
I'm pretty sure she has other sources of income, and does work, which she has and will never share with her online audience, which I think is fair. But I also think her current content is super lazy, and that she should either make more engaging content or just quit completely

Unfortunately, the standard is now very low for influencers. They can literally post a photo of dust and it will get engagement.

If anyone was going to become an influencer, now is the time to do it. Just putting a tiny bit of effort into content would see them soar.

She’s not growing with Alfie at all. She should go it alone as single woman and develop herself as a person. Or else she could wait to meet someone more suited to her that will encourage her to challenge herself and live an all round better lifestyle. Alfie isn’t doing that.

She could do some travelling, see new places and experience new things. I don’t mean a short trip to a popular European city for a few insta pics and then pizza for dinner each night. I mean properly travel, explore far away countries. Immerse herself in new cultures, try new foods and meet different people from other backgrounds.

She could go away and get herself a university degree or any degree. Educate herself more and gain some qualifications. Challenge herself and then achieve something worthwhile at the end that she can fall back on if the AD nonsense dosent work out for her. She could volunteer somewhere or help out worthwhile causes and people that are less fortunate.

She could take up a new sport and physically challenge herself in a new way. Exercise more and become physically fit and strong. Learn to cook better and healthier and eat healthier. No more ready made meals or maybe just for the weekend. Limit takeaways to once a fortnight. She should try new foods and cuisines instead of sticking with pie and mash.

She should make a conscious effort to rebuild bridges with her family and see them more often. It’s nice to have good relations with your in laws but they’re not your biological family and one day her grandparents will no longer be around. Same goes with friends, she needs to stop the petty feuds and grudges. Make new friends and keep them, treat them properly with love and respect or else she’ll lose them again.

She dosent have to give up all her home comforts. She could still have her nights in with a takeaway and Harry Potter or Gavin & Stacey on tv. Or her board games. She can still have all that but within reason, it shouldn’t be her whole life.

I just can’t see any of this ever happening while she remain with Alfred. He’s not pushing her to be the best version of herself at all and she is literally wasting her best years away. Leaving him (imo of course) would be so good for her personally as she’d be forced to develop as a person and professionally because she’d be able to make even better content. At the moment her life is incredibly dull and uninteresting, surely she must feel similar.

She's one of those women that thinks having a boyfriend is the be all and end all to life. She would rather be in a sexless, boring relationship than strike out on her own. To her, being single is being a failure. I really hope Alfie stops being a little pussy and just breaks it off, but he won't. Only then she might change, a tiny bit.
