In this video she swears she uses Ohne tampon subscription EVERY SINGLE MONTH (also linked in description). In all fairness, in the video she does say she doubles up with period pants, but never mentions the tampons in her period pants story? Yet her condition is mentioned... I have no problem with her doubling up, but be at least honest in your promotional post?! Ffs, how is this ok with brands she works with?

Also it’s so noticeable that her IG has become one huge billboard, no wonder she tries to dilute it with “cute cat stories” and nonsensical reels (but fails miserably).

She definitely used a buyers agent. I remember it very clearly as they had it under offer pre pandemic and for some reason she was extremely shady about timing.

If her periods are that bad she needs to see a gynae. No idea why she’s begging for it, as Ant’s private health care will cover her visit to more or less anyone she likes.
I sympathise with her a bit on the periods issue. I've been to the doctors a couple of times over heavy periods and you do get a sort of "Thats just how they are" type thing.

I felt like the "period blocker pill" stories were really odd. I mean Im on the regular pull and often take 2 months back to back to not be in my period on holiday so I'm not judging that, but I felt like it was odd to tell her followers about it BEFORE trying it. Like why mention it at all? Why not wait and see how it went then review it pros and cons if you are going to essentially 'advertise' the option?
Otherwise we don't need to know. Unless it was really to shill the period pants.

I believe it’s her very poor attempt at being more “relatable.” Only, it fails in many ways, like pretty much everything else she tries.

not sure why you’d duck about with your cycle by taking period stoppers (never heard of these 😅) if your experiencing problems? just for a holiday?? just put a tampon or Moon cup in?

I’ve used the period stopper tablets when I went to a festival aged 17, because no one wants to bleed through a pad an hour for 5 days when the toilets and showers are virtually non existent 🤣🤣 but it personally made my next cycle super heavy and painful so I haven’t used them again

her constantly saying ‘breaking taboos’ - Zanna it isn’t 2012, you are not revolutionary for posting some very basic (paid) information about periods and being tall 🙃 her story is essentially a thinly veiled ‘please can a specialist gift me a consultation and treatment’ because it likely isn’t covered by private healthcare and she doesn’t want to fork out - and she’s trying to disguise it as being ‘honest and real’

if she actually cared about breaking taboos, it’d be much more useful if she’d described the symptoms of her condition and maybe some basic info of other menstrual related conditions and emphasised that there are options available to try and manage these. The most revolutionary information I got once was that periods aren’t supposed to be horrendous, but the pain is so consistently dismissed by people and GPs by saying ‘well everyone struggles’ or ‘well I vomit and faint so it’s not as bad as mine’ that a lot of people have undiagnosed conditions and poorly managed chronic pain!! WUKA PAY ME INSTEAD

also I finally bought some Wuka a few weeks ago after months of not being able to afford the initial expense as I’m super allergic to pads and can’t use anything else and I would actually highly recommend them! They’re so comfy and easy to wash! Slightly miffed that this knob has been paid to wear them though 🤣

I haven't seen her stories but she must regularly have her period when she's away from home, considering the number of trips she takes.

She claimed to have a smear a few weeks ago surely she would've mentioned it to the nurse/doctor then?

i used to travel loads for work so I take my contraceptive pill continuously so I don't get a period - job done 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm sure someone's going to tell me that's bad, never been flagged by my doctor or gyno, I'm really not interested in dealing with periods when there's no need.

@littlewonder which style(s) did you get? The thing that puts me off trying period pants is that I don't like most styles the come in. My favourite shape of knickers is a classic bikini, and a lot of the period ones come in hipsters and shorts. I did actually got a pair of cheapo ones in Primark, but haven't had the chance to test them yet.

My Dr told me this causes no harm at all to your body - you either release an egg or you don’t, it doesn’t cause damage to not do it from month to month (assuming you are on a certain type of pill)

that was exactly why I was hesitant! I got the basic hipsters in medium flow which were 3 for £33 or something? I usually hate hipsters and like to wear high waisted knickers because I get so bloated so the first time I wore them I felt like my stomach was spilling out of them but now that I’m used to them, they are actually really comfy - they’re so soft and not too bulky. They just look like normal cotton knickers when I’m wearing them! The website says size down but I’m between clothes sizes so got the bigger size which are perfect - I think if I’d sized down like they suggested they wouldn’t have fitted me! I’m on the coil to stop my periods being so heavy so I can’t really vouch for the absorbency as mine are quite light at the moment (thank the lord)

I’ve seen that M&S do some bikini ones for £12 though that have some good reviews!

I use ModiBodi and the basic package where you get 3x bikini, (light, moderate and heavy) are a good starting point. The heavy are thicker but not noticeably so.

I wouldn’t blame her for not mentioning her issues when getting the smear. I am pretty certain I have undiagnosed endometriosis, but no doctor will ever pay attention to my complaints about painful periods. It’s so hard to be heard about these issues. This year I am on a mission to find a doctor who will listen and help me address this problem as I’m sick of living with all of the debilitating symptoms.

And there are so many people out there with such and similar issues. It would mean so much more if Zanna actually put some effort into talking about it, getting some experts involved etc. Instead, she just vaguely complains about it and gloats about the support pouring in and gets paid for a (let’s be honest) really tit and vague post.

Yeah I’ve never been taken seriously about period issues, even though they made me severely anemic and I have other issues too that have just been brushed aside.

Now I’m in my 40s my periods are finally manageable, just because I’m getting closer to them stopping, but it’s so frustrating not being listened to.

I hope you are able to find a doc that will listen ❤❤

I second modibodi for period pants. They have a huge selection of styles now. I got a set post-childbirth, and 4 years later, they're still in great condition. I even have a couple of their period swimsuits which although a bit ugly, are really helpful.

I'm so sorry you're having trouble with your doctor. I had a male doctor who did not care at all- I would literally pass out in the street from pain and he'd just tell me i was "delicate". But I insisted on a new doctor, and she had me straight in for an ultrasound and got me on medication. Don't give up, ask to see different doctors, and keep a record of all the symptoms and "things you've tried" because they'll all suggest exercise and a bath . I hope you get help!

Be your own advocates. The NHS is over stretched and they will push you away if they don’t think it’s serious. You know your own body and your own symptoms. Push to find out what’s wrong, and don’t stop
Until you get answers.

mum sorry you guys have such a raw deal of it. Ask to see a consultant/specialist. If things they advise don’t help just keep pushing.
