I just don’t understand how, in the state this country is in, with food bank usage and homelessness etc, she can happily post one day about going on UC, then the next saying she has turned down a job offer because the salary was only 65k which is ‘considerably’ less than she is looking for, and she gets absolutely no comments calling her out??? I fully believe in the welfare system, I just cannot wrap my head around seeing children on the news who only eat properly thanks to their free school lunches, when a woman who has chosen not to take a salary bigger than many of us could ever dream of is getting benefits to keep on top of mortgage payments on a house many of us could never dream of living in!! Sorry for the rant but god she needs to have a little perspective

Little insight into her shopping habits. Boots currently has a 3% cashback rate (although I believe they had it for 9-10% temporarily in November).

That means she spent at least £478 on that single order…

And this would’ve been a few months ago when she knew she was in 30k of debt and climbing.

I just can’t imagine spending close to £500 on a single online order for toiletries and makeup.

And can someone tell her that cutting back on unnecessary expenses (such as a £200/month coworking membership when she can work from home) or not buying things she doesn’t need isn’t actually SAVING money - it’s just NOT SPENDING it recklessly.

P.S: If she started going into debt 10-12 months ago, why wasn’t this one of the first expenses she tried to rid of? She could’ve “saved” at least £2,000 that way.
Can we also acknowledge the fact that she has NEVER mentioned this £200 expenditure in her budgets. So thats a slip of the tongue that she spends money on the dumbest shit and never tells anyone the truth!

Interesting she has looked into an IVA and is not entitled to one . Cant wait for the video . Equity in house must have played a part View attachment 2840915

no cleaner on the April bill video , forgotten or seen the light !
Goodness me, what did she say to Stepchange for them to be horrific?

Long story short, I've been dealing with step change for 10 years now and I've had nothing but excellent service and advice from them. Due to the nature of my work, I have to be on a DMP otherwise I would be jobless and I still have a good 6 years left before my debt is paid off. They do recommend IVA or bankruptcy as part of their review but every year I have to decline due to my career. Without Stepchange, I would most likely not be here today.

You only have to look back at her Abu Dhabi trip last year when she was staying with these friends and how much she spent . She has no concept of living within a budget
Will have to search back and see. Funny really as I was first drawn to her due to budgeting and money worries myself. I came back today from a city break with my little one. We had the best time and not a credit card in sight. I budgeted/saved for the flights from jan-june. Purchase flights in July. Budget/saved for hotel and spends jul-nov. It was lovely to not use credit - first time for me and I'm so proud of myself! We ate cheap (McDonald's and Xmas market food). Had big breakfast at hotel and took pastries for snacks from the breakfast buffet. In the past everything went on credit. Not anymore and I'm so happy I'm sorting myself out.

Who else thinks she has the hoover sat in her lounge as she thought amazon would just give her a refund without any questions and she is now kicking up a fuss as she was planning on using that money to ✨not pay her debts✨

Shes's got a load of views on her step change posts so I doubt those will be the last.

I'm not sure what they lied about? Her explanation vidoe sems to make sense to me, why is she so shocked by it? I'm so confused.

As others have said why is she so obsessed by her credit score?? I thought she was never going to borrow money again. What does she need this perfect credit score for? If she has a mortgage in place as she has- she can remortgage with the current lender. They have to let you do that and offer a good rate. I've not moved my mortgage for the last 2 rate changes as the rate of interest has been fine - maybe not the absolute most competitive rate on the market, but you have no guarantee of getting that headline rate anyway. I doubt she would have her pick of rates. I was a mortgage adviser until recently and have set up my own business so I'm not keen on moving as my affordability is not as good as when I was employed at the moment and I know how picky lenders are these days, but I have been happy keeping it with the lender and intend to do so for the next rate change. She would be absolutely fine having a hit to her credit score, just sticking with the current lender and having the next say 5 years living on a tighter budget. A perfect credit score, but struggling to make ends meet makes no sense to me.

She says step change want to 'push her' towards a payment plan that reduces payments, but not reduce the debt. So it will take years to pay off. Well yes - the point of a payment plan is to reduce the burden of repayments paying a 'token amount' for a period of time is exactly what many people need to get back in to a place where they can afford to live and not have to declare bankruptcy. She also says she didn't expect to have her debt written off (which is technically what an IVA could do) so what was she expecting them to suggest?? Its either a payment plan which she is outraged at being offered, an IVA (which you CAN have with a mortgage) but is difficult to get through or bankruptcy; thats what step change do they support you through the options for unmanageable debt and they are the options!!

When she says oh they were really vague and said things like 'oh it would impact your acore like a missed payment' thats true! Why is she upset? This is also an exploration call, they explain the options in a basic way - believe me I've helped many people with IVAs and payment plans and you get given a lot of support and information and you have a case manager etc - but 1 - they don't need to do that initially and 2 - the person she spoke too isn't the specialist - they are the first point of call.

I hope she doesn't put people off Step change - my gut instinct is that she wanted an IVA realised or was told she wouldn't get one, or found out that an IVA isn't the easy option she may have thought and your finances are then scrutinised constantly and any 'windfalls' or lucrative bonuses or sponsorships will be taken for creditors even years in.

Sorry long post!! I'm a money geek. Also the audacity of her to be upset that an accountant makes money out of those in debt (lots of people do its a huge industry) when she charges people for money courses and pretends to cash stuff - for views- pretending it helped solve her original money crisis. At least the accountant understands money!!

I’m a strong believer that dogs can massively improve your life and mental health.

But if you already have a dog, and you are 30k+ in debt, why would you get another puppy?

That’s double vet bills, insurance, daycare and boarding costs as they are both breeds who are not known to be very independent if left home alone for too long etc.

Just baffled as always by her decision making and how signing up for a 10-12 year commitment makes sense when you are in a dire financial situation.

maybe she has forgotten she is in debt or maybe the debt never existed . My guess is she is just ignoring it as this is the quietest she has been on social media for years

she is currently working from what she has said 3 days in an office even took the other dog in this week . You can’t do that with a puppy.

Let’s rewind back to this.
She still claims that her debt is due to no income coming in for three months last year, and not enough after that.
Now she’s also claiming that technically all the debts was borrowed this year which makes no sense once again.

But £37k in debt doesn’t add up with her expenses being only £3k something (without the debts repayments), as she didn’t have those prior to borrowing more.

She had to earn 0 for 12 full months to necessit borrowing £39k, which we all know didn’t happen.

Bottom line, she is lying once again about where the money went or what it was used for (or a big fat portion of it anyways), putting herself in 20k+ at least debt that could’ve been easily avoided.

It’s like Monopoly money for her at this stage.
Borrow £16k here
Borrow £10k here
Borrow £4k here
Like it’s nothing

And I don’t understand what her “budget” was good for before as we all know that income for content creators is never linear. You can’t expect to keep earning £10k just because you had 1-2 good months. You plan for the worse & and you save!

How many savings did she burn through first before acquiring nearly £40k in debt? As much as she denies it, she has been living beyond her means ever since she got out of the first batch of debts.
yes 👏
I honestly think she has been living beyond her means for years. She’s always been in debt, manageable when she had another income coming in and when the husband and her split she never adjusted to having one income and carried on spending.

someone doesn’t fuck off on holiday for weeks at a time if they are trying to get out of debt, she’s a joke!

I think giving your 8 and 10 year old a choice to either stay in school or uproot their whole school/social life to “travel the world” and “homeschool” is a shocking way to parent. I believe in giving kids a say in their education absolutely, but ultimately she is meant to be the adult responsible for them and there’s no way she can a) afford to travel with them in a safe way that also provides some stability and b) give them a half decent education. She can barely function as an adult with the help of a cleaner, childminder, kids in full time school, etc.

I hope this is another pipe dream that dies, just like the whole “I’m going to move to wales” “I’m going to become a millionaire” ideas.

that’s us told , of course you still read here , you keep telling us you have no friends.
This is on TikTok and the whole list of photos makes for an interesting reading esp when she talks about her parents , they must be so proud that they are being used as creative content to find her life’s mistakes that are not of her own making

Now she's calling out her "trolls". Now if by troll you mean anyone picking out the myriad of holes in your story, the hypocrisy of your postings (clearing debt vs buying 200+ quid sunglasses), entitlement (expecting UC when she decided to quit her job and now claiming to have Access to Work funding), blaming her woes on ex / ADHD and generally frankly absurd statements (I will be a millionaire by 40) then yes Yasmine - I am a troll.

She needs to get off social media, get a proper job again, get some therapy and start acting like a flipping adult.
