i'm on holiday!!

bf is off work so we sneaked out of the city, to an island, for 3 nights. this morning we were cleaning and tidying for hours because i wanted to leave the house spotless. also my sister is sleeping there all 3 nights for catsitting then we packed and drove to the port, got on the boat and 2 hours later we were here!

we went for a pizza right away

walked to our airbnb and went for a swim right away, right in front of the airbnb. swam, showered and currently having a gin tonic before we head into the old town!

It's my wedding anniversary today!!!

8 years we've been married. That might explain why he's fucking me off so much lately.... The 7 year itch was overdue

I've only been out of bed half an hour so literally have nothing to report

Had coffee outside, the kids are eating breakfast outside. The weather is lovely so it's going to be a good day

I haven’t posted for a while because I feel my days are so similar and quite boring
But today our gorgeous cat has gone for an operation as they found a mass in his stomach on Monday. The operation is over and the vet just called to say that he’s ok but they couldn’t remove the mass and his other organs aren’t looking great. She has sent part of it off for biopsy but it’s looking bleak. We fetch him in a couple of hours and have got a soft cone for his head rather than the big hard plastic one. Really hoping he’ll be ok as he’s our treasure and we adore him.

i didn't have time to update because i had another wedding yesterday so i spent the whole day running around and being a monica

the day started terribly as i got numerous phone calls from stressed out vendors who were doing things at the last minute just shouting at me, followed by numerous phone calls by said vendors apologizing pissed me off but as soon as i saw the bride i felt better

overall the wedding was perfect, they were so happy and everyone was congratulating me for a job well done. this morning the bride sent me a really lovely message and it made me tear up last night when she was drunk she told me she loved me tho hahaha that was funny

some parts were awkward because a guest was flirting very aggressively with me and he did it more and more as the night progressed/as he was getting more drunk - started off by asking if he could have a cigarette, then wanting to share the ashtray with me, then asking silly questions, then asking me for a dance, to actually begging the dj about 20 times to play a song i like (the dj knows me so he'd know which songs i like but i told him to pretend he can't play anything outside of the prepared playlist), almost forcing me to dance with him and kind of forcefully kissing me on the cheek/close to my neck everyone was drunk including the newlyweds but the groom rescued me on a few occasions by inviting me to do shots at the bar anyway as i haven't really been going out due to covid obviously, i kind of forgot how to act in these situations? basically this guy had broken his leg and it was still recovering, he was limping a bit, so at some point i told him i'd break his other leg if he doesn't leave me alone, and then realized hmm maybe i shouldn't say that to someone at a client's wedding anyway his response was 'mm you're difficult i love it'

i had to vent somewhere about it i'm sorry that's really long!

anyway this morning i slept in a bit because i came home at 4 am last night, i did some emails over coffee, went out to make a few last payments and came back home to do more emails/paperwork/boring work stuff... 1 zoom call with clients, but had a few hours chilling as well & i also made a banging ravioli dish for lunch. i haven't had time for cooking recently at all so i really enjoyed that, makes me excited for winter when i have more time and i can try out new recipes tomorrow i have a tour & a really busy couple of days before a weekend away!

• Managed to focus a bit better again at work, still struggled with a big sugar slump in the afternoon but got some morning stuff done. I think I need a less sugary breakfast so I'll make an effort the next few days and see how it goes
• Got confused and wondered why @Raymond Luxury-Yacht was fantasising about Leonard Cohen's
• Ordered some new (smart) jeans to wear when I'm back in the office next month as everything I owned pre-pandemic is now too tatty.
• Watched a couple more episodes of Friends
• Oh... and I finished something craft related! Two things! I finished my first full diamond painting and my first piece of colouring - there are a fair few mistakes but considering I haven't coloured anything since approx year 7 I'm really happy with how it's turned out

I GOT IT!! There were no white ones though which is the one I wanted but I'll cope I guess. I walked all the way to the big Tesco. I can't stress how far it is it is FAR. I burnt 700 calories on the walk there and back so I've saved room for my scran. Oh and there's a big Aldi next to the Tesco so I went in there as well. I got the pretzel choc to try and the loaded red brownies. So it might be a while before I review the ferrero rocher choc cos I want the other choc and the brownies first there's a big park with a walkway next to it on the way to the Tesco so I got mini watermelon out to walk alongside me... he just bailed off onto the field. I was walking like a snail thinking ah it'll be grand he'll come back and he was just running across this field. I had to break the pram and chase after him! I washed all my comfy bras so I had an uncomfortable one on today so while I was chasing him my boobs were akimbo, flying all over the place. Good job we were the only ones there

So yeah. Nothing else happened. Thank you big Tesco x that's all I gotta say

i had to force myself to get out of bed this morning especially because the kitty joined me and it was so cozy

the whole day sort of blended into 1 big email as i spent most of the day sitting at the laptop working

then bf came from work & we drove to run a few errands, do some grocery shopping & have a quick coffee with a friend

picked my sister up on the way back home, had some sushi for dinner and chatted to her for a bit on the balcony

currently working (again) on a decoration concept for a wedding next month

I missed the new thread and all the shenanigans by the looks.

Kids and I went on a road trip (I won't bore you with the reasons). Youngest suddenly becomes desperate for a pee despite having had one in the service station 30 mins earlier. The last resort was to pee into a Costa cup on the back seat. She then gave it to me and I had to drive another 60 miles in a horrific downpour on the M25 with a cup of pee next to me. It's these little moments that just make my heart sing.

A better nights sleep was had but we'll see how tonight goes
Did some tidying and then sat and finished looming a hat. It just needs sewing now

Took my camera out into garden along with my headphones to shut out the world for a while. I was joined by Pixie so of course I got loads of cute photos of her. I also got an awesome macro shot of a butterfly

At one point I must have scared the butterfly off which was disappointing but then I looked down and it had landed on my tshirt
I had a microwave lasagne for dinner. Sheer laziness I know
I accidentally ate all my cadbury dairy milk daim bar. Oops.

Today was what they call Summer Streets where they shut Park Avenue to cars from the Brooklyn Bridge all the way up to the middle of Central Park so that walkers, runners, cyclists can take over the street. I ran it and it was pretty cool - they had live entertainment, water stations and were even hosing people down to cool off because it was so hot

Met Mr GP when I was finishing up and we went for a couple of drinks outside. Heading out later tonight for whatever he has planned I still have no idea - he had to buy tickets and said it’s something I’ll enjoy more than him I’m guessing a show or gig but he said it’s super causal and I’ve to wear shorts/t-shirt and should take my glasses. Don’t think I’m going to follow his clothing advice of shorts though - will probably throw on a casual dress. Will report back tomorrow!

Alright lads,

We’re on day 1 of our little Yorkshire trip away. This morning the boy and I took our bunnies to the boarding place. There were already two rabbits there that were the spitting image of one of ours. One was a baby version and one was a giant it was so cute to see, like a baby, mummy and daddy

Then we set off, via Maccy’s for the obligatory road trip breakfast.

Today we’ve done an 8 mile walk that leads past four reservoirs. Had pizza for tea - so much for trying not to pig out!

Going to try and have an earlyish night tonight as we have a family wedding tomorrow, which will be lovely.

Finished giving my first lecture ever as a guest lecturer. I felt good about how the class went but am proper sleep deprived because I went to bed at 5:30 am (insomnia is trash) and had to teach at 8:30. Thank goodness teaching is still online.
Called fries “chips” and periods (the written ones, not the vaginal ones ) “full stops” over the weekend. My boyfriend is teasing me for being super British. I haven’t spoken or written in British English since I was 11. I think Tattle is subconsciously bringing me back to my childhood in terms of language use.
Gonna go nap until my 1 pm meeting. Ordered McDonald’s around midnight so hope the food is still good. Will munch on a bacon chicken wrap during the Zoom meeting with my video off. Do I even exist at this point or am I a speaking hologram?

Blimey lads, I feel like the sozzled nan at Christmas who starts talking utter garbage at the wrong time. So here I go:

-Dropped Biggest off at football camp so it was just me & Smallest for the most of today
- Picked up a Morrisons Click & Collect
- Met every single dickhead pulling out in front of me at every roundabout
- Got home, made lunch for me and Smallest
-Caught up on RHONY
- Time to pick up Biggest so back in the car
- Home and did some cleaning in the living room
- Made dinner for kids
- Second night of both kids sleeping in the same room. It's going well, fingers crossed.
- Made absolutely banging stir fry for the adults' tea
- Catching up on Tattle before finishing Fire Song tonight

I am loving life today! I am at work so it's not even an exciting day but I'm just having a good day
It's my anniversary and my other half has just sent me 12 red roses to work. I'm not the soppy kind but I really have hit the jackpot with him
We've had confirmation that our house purchase should be proceeding within the next 2 weeks or so, so I've got that to look forward to. It's all very exciting!!
I've not really got much else to report. My day doesn't sound that exciting when I write it down but I just feel super happy today

woke up early this morning, had a coffee and headed straight to the police station.

Spoiler: TW: Sexual Assault

I reported the sexual assault to the police today and handed my underwear in as evidence as I kept it unwashed. I’m praying they find something on there which can be used to support my case, so everybody please keep everything crossed for me. I feel so much better for reporting it and am looking forward to the case progressing and hopefully justice for me being served. The police officer that did the informal interview was soooo nice and understanding and I’ll be called in later this week for a formal interview with the detectives. I am so proud of myself for doing the right thing!

after I got home I’ve just been looking online for things to buy, we’re recarpeting and repainting the house this week - where do you all suggest for home furniture pleaseeee?

So far today has involved phoning my Nana (to have her go on about my weight again) and phoning my mum (to have her laugh and tell me that I'll never be able to own anywhere to live.)

I’m so sorry they said this, I know first hand how toxic family members can be. Please ignore them and long term you will prove her wrong xx

- Worked. It was awfully busy. I really felt like I couldn’t get a handle on it but it might have something to do with the small human I have with me asking for a snack every 5 seconds.
- Browsed the internet looking at new uniform and felt pissed off. I really wanted to get little peaches some Velcro up shirts for PE days as he really struggles with all the buttons but it seems M&S only do them in white and couldn’t find them anywhere else so we might just have to spend the rest of the holidays in button boot camp so he can do it alone ready for September
- Fella took little peaches to the park, little peaches was all nooooo I don’t wanna go, dragging his heels, but then they were gone for HOURS. The silence was bliss. Apparently he walked somebody’s dog and the dogs name was lady and she was little and brown
- Managed to sort out my insurance claim finally. I already have new computer but made a bit of profit on what I spent
- Have just showered and washed my hair. I’m doing it early so I have more time to waste on my phone doing nothing this evening. Plus there’s a lot of screaming going on in the front room over the switch and super smash bros so it gets me away from that
- Oh and I forgot to tell you all after we brushed Coco (our cat) over and over again much to her annoyance, she managed to sort the last little bit out herself and she is BACK TO NORMAL. Here she is looking relieved that none of the other cats in town can take the piss out of her

That was a long post for quite a boring day really..

Why hello there!


Ran out of stuff to do at work
Managed to invent myself a new job to do
My new jeans came and I did my hair so that I looked presentable. By the time I got home four hours later I look like Monica. It's the humidity.
Spent all day panicking that I'd go spare at the nearby shops after my assessment and binge eat/spend but I was... fine
I lie... I was great. I told myself that I wasn't going to feel guilty or beat myself up, I could buy whatever food and stuff I wanted and that I'd sort it out later and... I didn't binge buy - I ended up with two six-packs of crisps and a small bag of sweets - the rest was groceries
Including the nicest cheese around (if you live anywhere near a Morrisons - go and get yourself the Somerset Crunch cheddar and thank me later), some nice bread and some 20% pork mince - I have some lovely meals planned
I can't remember the last time I actually had a proper, full-on binging episode - I still stress eat and overeat a bit but even that is reducing now.
My appointment went well - I will hear back from the autism assessment team in approx 2 1/2 years (there's a teeny bit of a waiting list). Mentioned my mood swings to her and she said to track them for a month and then we'll see.
Got a bus part of the way home but even then I've done 16,000 steps since 4pm so I'm dead
