SHE said she had just been in that bed since Friday. I don't have much hope for any meaningful weight gain before surgery. How do you eat with all of this weighing on you.Gosh, poor thing.
Her complete denial has not helped her in processing this. It’s like she’s newly diagnosed.
I very much hope she’s going to receive the counselling and support she needs as she prepares for this brutal surgery.
She looked terribly frail and haunted in today’s vlog. I feel desperately sorry for her. Imagine the stress of knowing you’ll be going under for an operation that will take 12 hours. That you will be eviscerated. The recovery is going to be incredibly tough. And that’s if everything goes well.
that will be up to her surgeon to decide...if he thinks she cannot he won't do it.It’s really scary. Can she make it through this 12 hour surgery?
I have felt incredibly frustrated at her denial and ‘away with the fairies’ approach, but am I struggling to feel sympathy? No.Does anyone else here struggle to feel proper sympathy for Tiffany because of what seems to be her wilful ignorance (not to mention Matt's)? I do feel sorry for her that her fate is vastly worse than she prayed for, but my god she has shown so little intelligence throughout the process. It's really frustrating to watch. I hope the cancer didn't spread even further in the meantime, still. I was wondering how only eight weeks back her scans were clear again and now there is...spread? A new tumour? The vagueness is confusing as a viewer, but Tiffany isn't the smartest, so there's a chance the doctors don't tell her the medical facts in case she cannot compute them. I know for real that being dumb can make for worse outcomes. I hope the next wait until the pelvic exenteration doesn't lead to the cancer going system-wide. It's very likely if in only eight weeks she went from clear scans/NED to spread.
the thing with the clear biopsy is that the pathologist can of course only examine the piece(s) of tissue the surgeon has cut out. biopsy is only one form of diagnosis. the others are (among others) the imaging techniques (PET, MRI, CT, X-Ray) and of course the evaluation of the symptoms. Both the imaging scans and her symptoms for which she has already been hospitalized and gets morphine together with her frail appearance (cachexia ?) show that she´s going downhill. In the "no biopsy" video she says she needs the proof from the biopsy, because it was the most important scan, as if everything else wouldn´t count. That´s denial.Does anyone else here struggle to feel proper sympathy for Tiffany because of what seems to be her wilful ignorance (not to mention Matt's)? from her video he/she is part of the team during surgery..I assume some done day of surgery and maybe some follow up.For the reconstructive parts, will the plastic surgeon do this straight away or there will be follow up surgeries?
And imagine how much worse it'll be when she's in recovery and there's nowhere to go unlike now she's just not feeling up to being active even though she still has the physical ability. She's going to be stuck with nothing but her thoughts for weeks (months?) after surgery. She needs to start therapy NOW. She has done herself a major disservice by 'blocking it out' for so longshe looks like every thought she’s having is torturing her..do people ever have complete breakdowns in Tiffany’s situation? as it’s like a ripcord has just been pulled on all her worst nightmares and there’s no escape..I feel truly sorry for her..
I think most doctors say that to every patient - my dad was deathly ill last summer and every doctor promised they'd treat him like his own dad. Same for my nan on end of life care. It's just a sayingIt was unprofessional, he shouldn't really said that.
It could indicate that he will treat her better than other patients? All patients deserves same level of care, she is not special.
The standard operation for rectal cancer including T3, T4 tumor called Total Mesorectal Excision. I think she is going to have it. I don't think she has peritoneal metastasis, so probably she would not need HIPEC.She isn't going to have this one?
I thought she will have tpe+ hipec too
I didn't know she don't jabe peritoneal mets, I watch her videos but Im skipping a lots, because I can't stand her being so childish.
Even without hipec tpe is massive surgery, don't see her being mentally ready for it?
She struggled with recovery from such a simple thing like biopsy.
nope she still thinks after the surgery she is cancer free for lifeIs she aware this surgery won't save her life only prolonged?
Probably he meant that. Sure, all patients deserve the same level of care. Where I live doctor patient relationship is very formal and cold. It might be different in other countries. It was unprofessional, he shouldn't really said that.

That's 0K....no offence taken re that comment.not there's no need to bring Gronkowski into it.
I am also on the shame train after my flippant description of our princess heroine's future bum. Sorry!!
From what I've read about PE online I'm pretty sure it's just done straight away. Tiff also mentioned that a plastic surgeon is just one of the many specialists that needs to be there during the surgery, which also makes me think all reconstructive aspects are done during the 12 hour surgery. For the reconstructive parts, will the plastic surgeon do this straight away or there will be follow up surgeries?
