While you are busy fattening up a bit, you should consider fattening up your gnome. He has to gain weight also. If you can hand sew a bit, or know anyone who sews, have then open up his "bottom" (the seam on bottom of his back) just large enough for you to fit rocks inside him and fill him to make him heavier. The more rocks, the heavier he will be. You may have to remove some stuffing to make more space for the rocks. Just be sure to cover the rocks with the stuffing. Test it for balance before closing up the seam (best to use a whip stitch.) I make those gnomes, and I put river rocks that I buy in the craft store inside them. Darn, I was hoping you wouldn't need a surgery. Well, we must be thankful for God's little mercies. At least you can still do a surgery. It will be okay. You will get through this.
