@ Saydee I just called them rubber neckers. I had people contacting me that I hadn't heard from in 2 decades asking the same shite.

F that!

No, the cozy situation going on between the princess, her frog, and Amma is not normal for any country, nationality, household, human. They are abnormal in every sense.

'Dark tourism' is a phrase in actual use to describe tourism in morbid places. Many, many threads ago, someone here mentioned 'cancer porn', but I don't know if that is a legitimate phrase to use in an essay.
Thanks. Yeah that’s interesting. Grief tourism seems to exist off the internet, in terms of traditional tourism (e.g physically visiting a site of murder). Like you say, also known as Dark tourism.

Then online, at least in recent times, grief tourism seems to apply moreso to people who are “there for the show” and to give “positive vibes”, but not actually truly caring or deeply connecting.

For anyone interested, I just came across this article which is a good read on this exact topic from a lady diagnosed with cancer.

I know I personally would be furious if/when given a terminal illness prognosis, if friends, family and acquaintances then started giving me the “positive vibes only” BS. Ooof. I’d be mighty tempted to tell them to FO.

I’m more into talking about the hard stuff, the realities. I think there’s so much beauty in those deep thoughts and discussions. I personally find that the light, airy-fairy, saccharine, “positive thinking”, “manifesting” BS is gaslighting and emotionally immature.

…which I guess is why I find myself here on a Tattle thread about Princess. She’s so into all that crap, she even gaslights herself! Princess, doorMatt, Fluffy and the dolt cult sure are a fascinating and bizarre case study.

Off topic here but is it you that watches youtube 'the dog poo fairy' channel? These 2 sisters live very close to me and up until recently I have had no reason to doubt what is being put out. However I am now questioning a few things. Emma says her sister only has a few months left but I am not convinced thats true.

'death-bed watchers' it is actually shocking how many people I see follow instagrammers that have just passed away too. Not just social media though.... I used to post and discuss things in private cancer groups and its actually shocking how many messages I get from randoms to say they haven't seen recent posts from me? Did my husband die? Is he still alive? How did he die? Did he have a peaceful death?

The thought of Tiffany in an Irish pub actually makes me laugh.
Geez Saydee that’s so infuriating that you were asked those questions by strangers… urgh. How intrusive. I don’t know how you handled it (probably with a lot more grace than I would have done).

No problem at all!
I'm googling death-bed watching/watchers but there is surprisingly nothing about it. I did find stuff about dark tourism but it just refers to people fascinated by and attracted to morbid things and seeking it out. Maybe death bed watchers is not an official term. I remember @Make sense of it! mentioning it and I think I read about it on nicky newman's thread.
I remember what @Make sense of it! posted! 'deathbed chronicles', it stands out because it had me laughing at the time.

Must have a look! Watched them a while back but stopped because thought the sister was always on a bandwagon and frankly they were dull.

Yes I do but only here and there. Oh no, what makes you think that? I have just seen the one in which she talks about Sooz only having 2 to 3 months left. Well she doesn't talk much about it but she certainly put that in the title to attract viewers. I could not get through all of it because like Tiffany, she tends to repeat stuff and doesn't say much of substance. She does not share much about Sooz' medical state. Emma seems heartbroken by the news. I do feel sorry for them but I am not a massive fan of Emma. The channel started off well, it was about advocating for yourself. Those early videos could have been enough and the end of it but Emma then insisted on vlogging her dull life. She literally used her sister's terminal cancer to build a youtube channel. She even does ads and products. Shameful. Overall, it is too much about Emma who clearly enjoys the attention and praise from viewers who tell her how strong she is and not much about her sister. Emma's husband also started to chime in and is 'helping out with the channel'.

She used to urge viewers to subscribe. She also talks about products which "are linked down below". So much eyeroll with her.
Her latest video she asked, and the TT "family" is growing every single day, social blade begs to differ though.

Beware of Eastern European or other fake dating sites! Statements such as the above are planted into comments sections to get one-on-one contact to swindle people for money.
I did look at the channel and it appeared a completely "normal" YT subscriber.

Emma seems all about Emma from the last two contributions. Also it is really dull. Also the sister isn't on pallitiative care if she (as the sister has made clear) continues to get treated with anti biotics and drains. That is the opposite of palliative care.

But that is all I can glean from it. It is a bit of a yawn.

Yes she said she was given antibiotics, blood transfusions, and stents through the back. She does not explain the stents much but overall there is minimal explanation of Sooz' cancer. She clearly wants a lifestyle channel and fluff content but again, she would have no viewers without the hook which is her sister's cancer. That's the reality. There are no channels about terminal cervical cancer (as far as I know) so Sooz' story had potential. Also the way she was ignored by doctors adds to it. I understand that Sooz did not go for cervical smears for years and both sisters never went to doctors so there was a lot to learn from her story.

The call has come in for new thread titles. Be good if some tech minded person could incorporate this guy- but making sure to include the green shoes.

And the ears. And well pretty much all of it. Except the Mr Potato Head moustache images. Tiny blue balls can't manage one of those just yet.

A woman in the US, Jenny Rice, on YouTube had a pelvic exenteration surgery for cancer and is home recovering. She has a small number of followers and she not only explains everything, she did a video from the hospital and showed her incision and her stoma bag as she was explsining how she was doing.
I don’t have a big interest in her life but I follow her so I can make a supportive comment every time she posts a video, and to give her views. One of her videos had a lot more medical discussion than I wanted to watch so I just turned down the volume and let it run so she would get the view on her video. Please consider doing that for her.

I've never watched but took a look see, this is the latest update.

And just so we are absolutely clear on why people are watching, not many views on her sisters journey even two weeks ago,

And now they all come to "deathbed" watch!!!!

I just quickly checked her out and can see why her following is small. She doesn't use clickbaits and dramatic titles and doesn't do drama or hysterics. Seems like a humble person.

Exactly. Videos referring to Sooz' cancer or suffering get the views. Her daily life doesn't. She's learned to clickbait too.

She is a senior and no, she has never been a beauty queen but then few of us ever are. She is kind, humble and she shares her cancer experience to benefit others. That makes her a beautiful person. You are just a troll.
