To me it’s not an insurance issue, but rather the INCONVENIENCE to them of the available surgery dates offered.
Tim & J4D’s top priority is and always will themselves.
Exactly. That's why I'm not buying it - again, based on what she apparently said in the live If anyone has a timestamp, we can review it further.
I just find it hard to believe in metro Orlando - and with their money - that their pediatrician knowing full well that Jackson has had multiple infections, is in apparent ongoing discomfort, and obvs has hearing issues (not to mention accompanying speech issues) is just like "Oh well, we'll put you on a wait list for the next available whenever..."
It's not like we're a third world country. And if they DID receive that blasé response, they could easily go anywhere else for a "second opinion" of sorts - pay out of pocket - and get on the phone and search the area for another provider / facility who could get them in sooner.
As I stated the other day - and I full well know it's apples and oranges - but when our cat had just an initial potential DX of renal and intestinal cancer by our older, initial vet (it wasn't definitive at the time) and was told just to go home and let him die (!!!) without any options given, we digested that awful news for one full day before I immediately got on the phone finding another vet who could take us right away for a second-opinion.
Found a wonderful new vet who got on the case pronto, ran more tests, and fast-tracked us to the specialist in Orlando who squeezed us in for an ultrasound with other diagnostics as well (within his super booked scheduled), plus then - when the diagnosis was sadly confirmed - started him immediately on chemo
two months before there was even an opening at the renowned pet cancer clinic here - and that specialist then ALSO pulled strings at the cancer center to get us in there the
very next week to start chemo as new ongoing provider (again, two months PRIOR to their "next available opening" - of which our cat would have been dead by then) up unto his passing.
Yes, our kitty ultimately succumbed to his cancer but the point is -
is that we moved heaven and earth for our cat to get him seen and taken care of faster to
aid in his comfort and well-being.
Apples and oranges - cat vs. a HUMAN CHILD. Yes, I realize that. But I just don't see the urgency here with them and Jackson.
