What are everyone's opinions of the high school pack? Is it worth it and what are the best features?
The best features for me are B&B and some of the CAS items. Shocking.
Thrifting is fine, I guess it's something new. Video Game Streamer and Simfluencer careers basically came with City Living in Tech Guru and Social Media career tracks, the difference is, these are teen-oriented.
The "going to class" stuff is...extremely lackluster and kind of pointless. After-school activities are rabbit holes. The carnival attractions are rabbit holes. The Social Bunny app is basically 10 posts that you'll know by heart and get sick of in a day. The events at the auditorium - you'll do them once and then won't bother again. The fact that prom is every week is anti-climactic and the event itself is so short.

In my opinion, I really don't think it's worth it. Unless you really like the art deco aesthetic. Then again, I would never advise on buying the pack solely because you like those two chairs and some bits and bobs.

Sorry can someone explain what rabbit holes are?

I think the build/buy items are beautiful, and you get loads of things, there's at least 6 new bedroom sets with loads of matching items and knick knacks and good Art Deco/1930s style items for building old fashioned houses and retail lots. The world is charming looking too.

The high school lot itself is far too big for comfortable gameplay, it takes a Sim 2 in game hours to get from task to task within the enormous school (most gamers bulldozed it and built their own and it worked far more smoothly) . The school day itself is very repetitive, you sit in class and don't have the option to slack off or work hard or do anything bar go on your phone. Which doesn't seem to affect your grades anyway.

Prom comes around far too frequently and is too short an event to do all the tasks in, which is frustrating. And graduation is frequently bugged out.

The Tunnel of Love and the Ferris Wheel at the boardwalk area are all rabbitholes, which I found very disappointing. It is a very charming area for teens to hang out and socialise at though.

The thrift thing of designing outfits for townies to wear is pretty good fun, and a good money maker if playing Rags to Riches. The Social Bunny app is very limited and repetitive.

I think if you like building/decorating or adore teens as a life stage, it's great. But gameplay is a little shallow, and the bugs are frequent.
Thank you for the in depth review this is really helpful. I’m a gameplay player rather than a builder so I’ll give this one a miss I think.
Wish they’d bring back private schools like in Sims 2!
I remember i was always so stressed when the headmaster came round for dinner 😂

Omg remember that 😂 and if they were naughty and didn’t do their homework they’d go to military school

I once gave the HM a tour of my kitchen just as a fire started. He was freaked out, the time was wasted to socialise and schmooze and continue with the tour, and I only had the burnt food to serve him which he understandably didn’t like.

That’s the sims 1.
in sims 2 kids who fail at school get removed by social services.
i made up a whole storyline about Brandi Broke reporting my children to social services to get them taken away and whichever family I played, I made the Brokes’ their enemy by default.

Oh gosh how stressful have you recovered.
The sheer heart attack I’d have when buy mode stopped and the burglar music came on 😶

For the Sims 2 download via Facebook, which group is it as there seems to be several when I search on Google. Not sure if direct links can be posted on here, but what does the group look like for example? Thanks in advance!

The page in Facebook has 11k members and the group picture is an autumnal sort of picture with a fountain with benches and Sims around it, if that helps

Well, the next two kits got "leaked." Do people really think these are actual leaks still? Pastel Pop Kit and Everyday Clutter Kit.

on the subject of leaks, the sims 5 has been pirated and cracked online. Apparently the people they gave early access to had a number of free codes to let 1 or 2 of their friends have access too.. this obviously backfired and now Iv seen an article on my news app with ea saying not to look for the leaked early access/beta whatever it is. The early access is just to see whats been done so far isnt it? So no game to play as such - im not sure as not too interested in sims 5 news

:ROFLMAO: Oh my god, did they not learn from the game changers doing this? I forget which pack, but they gave access to some new game changers and the pack was immediately sent to pirating sites. That's why we got those stupid name tags on early access content. Never change EA.

I see here that the majority are sims 2 players or people who remember sims 2 the best. Tells me a lot about the age of users here. I'm 23 and I feel like people born in 2000 are the last generation of sims 2 players. We started playing it as kids and still cling to it years later cause nothing seemed to top it. I feel like the majority here are born around 1990. I'm so glad that so many people are still sims 2 players because I sometimes feel lonely surrounded by sims 4 players.
Adored the Sims, got it for my 15th birthday, 1988 here 👋🏼

I can see why they took Sims 2 off Origin, I have done little else with my time since I got it working and now am like ‘Sims 4 who?’

free placing items/diagonal placement is probably the only thing I’m missing. Gameplay is sooo much better (was always my fave in the series) and the wants/needs/aspirations was elite level. The best thing is how dated all the clothing and tech in particular are 😂

with cheats you can use quarter tile placement and diagonal placements. Theres a cheat code for everything lol The thing I like most about sims 2 is you can make your own towns and put a lot anywhere. The sims 4 worlds have a few places to put lots down and its not the same.
