For Sims 2, there is a Facebook page just called the Sims 2 and they have a link for an all in one download for the game which is safe to use.
I’ll be having a look for this later! I used to love the way sims 2 apartments work - you just moved onto a lot and you could pick whatever apartment you wanted.

It’s been a long long time since I played Sims 2 but on Sims 2 pets couldn’t you play as the dog or cat? I liked that

I loved the little montages in Sims 2 when you’d go to Uni, get married, first kiss that sort of thing!
Also the tiny details when cooking food. They nailed it.
Such nostalgia with the music too.

I loved Sims 2, I ended up about 5 generations down from the original starter families. Remember the single mum Brandi who lived in a trailer with Beau and Dustin the teenager. I had him marry one of the ginger twins, and Brandi adopted about 10 kids and I used the cheat to make her rich and live in a big house. Don Lothario got her pregnant again aswell.

There was that aging potion as well that you could drink to make an elder an adult again, so you would have a weird situation where parents were younger than the children 🤣

Loved the University expansion pack, nightlife, and open for business. Game changer was discovering you could make the radio stations play your own music by putting your mp3 files in the programme files, so loads of songs from 2006-2009 remind me of sims 2!!

I loved Sims 2, I played it from 2005 until I got TS4, I never risked buying TS3 because I always saw people with massive high end PCs complain how laggy it was. I did play it on someone else's computer a few times but I never owned it, I only experienced it through copious amounts of let's plays.

Major throwback with putting mp3 files in the game! I remember my laptop was full of mp3 files, those were the days before Spotify!

Does anyone remember the legendary Sk8r Boi video made using The Sims 2!? I remember the internet being obsessed with this! Tbf it still holds up well and is still miles better than the actual music video

All I want for the next sims game is customisation options. I wanna create my neighbourhoods and place my own lots. It was so good in sims 2 you could place as many as you could fit. A remake of sims 2 with updated graphics would be amazing. Never gonna happen but that game had so much thought and effort go into it in comparison to sims 4.

The Broke family were my favourite. The lore of the Sims 2 is what sets it apart from the other games. The sims 1 is obviously iconic as that’s where it all started, and The sims 3 is probably my all time favourite game play wise, as I spent the longest playing it. The sims 4 build mode is beautiful but game play it’s never held me in the same way as 3. But the sims 2 is the richest, most fulfilling game in the franchise in my opinion. Interested to see how the sims 5 compares, in due course.

What are everyone's opinions of the high school pack? Is it worth it and what are the best features?

I’ve been interested in this and the discover university Judy not sure which is better!
i love discover university, haven’t tried high school though

seasons and university are my top 2 ep’s

i think I was put off of the high school ep because it was released when the bug happened

I see here that the majority are sims 2 players or people who remember sims 2 the best. Tells me a lot about the age of users here. I'm 23 and I feel like people born in 2000 are the last generation of sims 2 players. We started playing it as kids and still cling to it years later cause nothing seemed to top it. I feel like the majority here are born around 1990. I'm so glad that so many people are still sims 2 players because I sometimes feel lonely surrounded by sims 4 players.

I think the build/buy items are beautiful, and you get loads of things, there's at least 6 new bedroom sets with loads of matching items and knick knacks and good Art Deco/1930s style items for building old fashioned houses and retail lots. The world is charming looking too.

The high school lot itself is far too big for comfortable gameplay, it takes a Sim 2 in game hours to get from task to task within the enormous school (most gamers bulldozed it and built their own and it worked far more smoothly) . The school day itself is very repetitive, you sit in class and don't have the option to slack off or work hard or do anything bar go on your phone. Which doesn't seem to affect your grades anyway.

Prom comes around far too frequently and is too short an event to do all the tasks in, which is frustrating. And graduation is frequently bugged out.

The Tunnel of Love and the Ferris Wheel at the boardwalk area are all rabbitholes, which I found very disappointing. It is a very charming area for teens to hang out and socialise at though.

The thrift thing of designing outfits for townies to wear is pretty good fun, and a good money maker if playing Rags to Riches. The Social Bunny app is very limited and repetitive.

I think if you like building/decorating or adore teens as a life stage, it's great. But gameplay is a little shallow, and the bugs are frequent.

I stopped playing not long after I got it as I was scared it would break my family. I’ve not even checked if the bugs are fixed yet as I’ve not had time to play anyway.
